Atleast the N8 will be out soon, and theres always the Satio. Used a friends Satio yesterday, its still such a stunning device, couldnt do much though as his battery was nearly finished, all its missing is that kinetic scrolling and new version of s60 browser, otherwise an excellent phone.

Im having problems uploading pics to forums, so using Photobucket Android app to upload to some screenshots of my X10,hope they display...
Main screen:

Left side:

and my main menu:

Im using ADW Launcher, with Droid X theme icons and a 960x854 wallpaper i found at DailyMobile.

Posted by Hobbs
Wow tsepz. You got applications galore there on your X10.Looking good.

Posted by Tsepz_GP
Lol,thanks Hobbs, ive changed the Main a bit since uploading the screenshots, will post another later. Yep,got quite a lot of apps, mainly due to curiosity, i try a lot of apps that i see people recommend to others. To this day no taskman comes close System Panel, shown as "System" in the 1st screenshot, ive tried them all, just to see what works for me and i kept coming back to System Panel each time, that was an app recommended to me the day i got my X10 by the guy promoting it at that Vodashop, discovered others while nosing around some forums.

Wanqa, hope you've been enjoying Cape Town. Hope to see your pictures from these parts soon.

@ brixter:

Thanks mhlobo, I had a bril time in the Mother City and amongst the dorpies up the west coast.
I'm now in East London with family and friends. I'll upload a host of P1i pics of all the places when I get back to the UK from next Monday.
Hopefully they'll be some sort of phonepic adverts for others to see how beautiful the country is in the parts visited over the past couple of weeks.

Posted by Hobbs
Glad you had a bril time in the Mother City Wangs.

Tsepz My SEUS is telling me another update is available.Have you bothered updating yours yet.Do you think its worth it?

Posted by Tsepz_GP
Weekend is nearly here, cant wait to kick back and relax, macro eco and business manAGEment are killing me lol.
Hobbs
Havent touched SEUS since updating to R2BA024 lol, the update you're seeing must be R2BA026, havent read much positive about it,apparently it brings some Wi-fi bug and TimeScape is slow again according to some at XDA, so i wouldn't recommend updating if you use Wifi and timescape alot.
Go to use a SE Vivaz today, my word its a gorgeous lil thing in the flesh, the one i tried was all black, very sleek and well built, its shape is a breathe of fresh air from all these square touchscreens, the UI is also fast, i would still take a Satio over a Vivaz though, mainly due to the Satio's larger screen, and far better looking design, they dont seem to differ much if at all in UI.

I use Wi-fi all the time at work and at Mugg and Beans, you get 3hrs free every month using your MWEB login so if thats the case Im giving the 26 a miss.Eclair is just around the corner so its probably no point in updating anyway.
When Eclair does come can I just update with my phone been rooted and all that or do I have to unroot it ect? Do you know?
By the way have you used Live Home? Thats my home replacement at the moment. Its the best in my opinion.

Hobbs,im not sure to be honest, you may wana ask at XDA, i dont know what parts of the OS/phone the root affects,il also try find out.
Thanks for the recommendation,il give Live ago, been using ADW Launcher, tried Helix for a little while but then came back to ADW lol,but Helix wasnt bad, just preferred ADW.

As far as i know you get 300 minutes = 5 hrs..

Anyway, how does it work to use your wifi at mug and bean?
Can you use your wifi mobile or only laptop? and how do you do it?

Posted by Hobbs
@Rhino
Yes you correct, just checked,300 minutes it is.At the Mugg and Bean or with-in the Mugg and Bean Wi-fi range, all you do is switch on your Wi-fi (mobile or laptop),choose the Mugg & Bean (it might just say Wireless) connection, once connected load up your browser and the first page you'll see is the one where you can choose your account type, choose MWEB,type in your MWEB username and password and off you go.

Da Wanqsta's just got back to the Yhu Kay. What a bril time in SA. Nearly crapped ourselves at OR Tambo due to the striking staff there; the passport and immigration control had to be manned by police to ensure that flights could go ahead but the queues were moving so slowly that I thought that we were gonna miss our flight... we made it to the gate just as the final boarding call was issued. Phew...

@ zani & TeenInvader:
Congrats on the new phones, guys.

@ Tsepz:
Isn't that some Dutch or Belgian supercar similar to the one featured on Top Gear?

The first 3 of quite a few P1i pics taken from around SA this holiday; this is Laaiplek (next to Velddrif) on the west coast. A very stinky place thanks to the fish processing factories there... :

I've gone to realise that camera setting needs to be checked all the time before taking pictures just to make sure that they are good for the environment.

Posted by Hobbs
Its like everything in life that you want to perfect TeenInvader...Practice,Practice and Practice some more.Happy Snapping.

@ WANGA That Darling photo of the field of yellow flowers and blue sky is brilliant.

Thanks boet. The Swartland really is stunning this time of the year. It seems hard to take a bad pic amongst all that natural beauty and scenery, even with a cellphone.

But yeah TeenInvader, practise does indeed help and taking a good few pics at each place helps to select a really worthy pic or two, while experimting with some of the settings.

More P1i pics, no prizes as to where this is, LOL:

Great pics Wanqs tend to forget they are taken by a phone.

I agree - great pics!

@X10 owners - anyone on sofware version 026 that is also getting the wifi bug? (lose network signal and the wifi signal also drops)

It is driving me batty, but going back to 024 was impossible due to the yellow-triangle brick so I did the local OTA update and ran the one-click-root which worked better than the old root method on the new software.

Let me know what version you guys are running and what your experience has been.

Posted by Hobbs
Rob Im on R2BA023 and pretty happy with it.An update is available to me but I havent bothered with it because of that wifi issue you mentioned.
