My lil brother is such a genius! He lost the E90, he didnt have a phone since his W350 broke, so my dad gave him the E90 for the day since he was going some where with a friend and his family, he only realised on the way back to the friends house he didnt have the phone anymore. Im not going to kill him as thats illegal,apparently, i was going to kick his ass,but he is going to Grade8 next year =initiation.

nah im not,just sux to know some scumbag out there has easily one of the best phones around and will probably sell it for drug money. Well my 5800 is lying on my desk... Using the n78 again, my 5800's cam doesnt work, i cant download anything, cant set different themes and last night it also stopped reading any of my memcards... Im gonna take it in as soon as I have the chance!

But ya ive read about the probs with the 5800's video bus, after taking pics or watching a vid its camera will just stop working, apparently the problem was fixed in newer units,and the Theme problem is a general S60v5 problem,some themes actualy kill the phone
this is sooo exciting lol, il see what my options are, maybe if im lucky i can get a N85 or N79 instead,but i was looking forward to owning a S60v5 phone and having a phone with a large screen both resolution wise and physicaly. If the 5800 does break though i still have the upgrade in July. Il try get the Black 5800,as the new ones have newer hardware apparently. As for me, I have a 'headache' for the first time in my upgrade which is in 10 days. I don't have a phone that I want to upgrade to. I have decided not to touch any SE phone until I see an improved financial report next in the second quarter so, no SE for me until then. I've gone through one manufacturer 'dying' on me and had to struggle with batteries and accessories and ain't prepared for another one.
Now, as to my choices, it doesn't look good. No Nokia (yeah, I still hate S60) unless an E71-like maemo phone pops up which seems far fetched. No Samsung- I just don't like nor trust them just like their cousin LG. No touchscreen only phone or touchscreen with a slide out keypad and no traditional sliders.
Played with my cousin's BB bold 9700 yesterday, second time after trying it out at voadashop, and it's not bad but still find it too wide for my taste. Probably going to settle for the successor, 9750.
This sucks, I hate settling! Maybe I should just wait for MWC.

I would highly recommend the BB 8900 Curve if 3G/HSDPA is not a major loss to you Dups. Lol im totaly with you on SAMSUNG AND LG, a part of me just aint feeling them no matter how highly specd they are eg. The OmniaHD i8910, easily THE BEST Symbian S60 smartphone right now,but id rather get a Satio or even a N97 over it

the smartphone market has just been flooded with touchscreens. Notice theres not a single non-touch phone with an ARM A8-Cortex CPU, yet just 18months ago we had N95-8GB, and Samsung i8510 Innov8 ruling the market with the best hardware.

The funny thing is after Android I love maemo and would snap an E71 touchscreen maemo phone from Nokia but as I remember well there are no chances of them bringing maemo to the E series which makes me really
pissed cause a lot of business people love the E series and are willing to spend money on them which means maemo could sell extremely well on the E series.

Nah, I won't ever like touchscreen phones.
I have played with an Iphone, HTC touch, X1 and recently Satio. The Iphone is the slickest in that bunch and the Satio ain't bad, the other two are in the same boat- a little fiddly but usable.
My short experiences were not pleasant at all, I kept wishing for a keypad as it is very tactile and also very fast (at least for me).
Something that came to mind now is which has the highest chances of cracking the screen on being accidentally dropped between a complete touch phone and a P1-like phone?
I am leaning towards the touchscreen only phone even though it hasn't (to my knowledge) been proven.

I am not even sure which one is worse between it and a Tata.
I read a comparison between the new E class and the new 5 series and the Merc was easily trounced. I can't remember which site but both cars were diesel with the same engine capacity. The only negative the Bimmer got was that the run flat tyres they so love made the ride a bit harsh compared to the Merc.
I am also awaiting the comparison of the upcoming M5 and its AMG competitor.
Let's not forget Audi. The closest competitor and the one capable of beating BMW in this game of sports saloons.

P1i's cam will be working overtime tomorrow..
We're going over on a ferry to Calais in France for the day to do some shopping n' sight-seeing. We'll drive down to Dover and take the ferry from there. It takes about 1 and a half hours on the ship, to get from Dover to Calais.
It only costs £16 (approx R200) return via the massive P&O ferry company for both of us!
If we took the car as well, it would only cost £25 all-up, irrespective if there's one or 5 people in the car.
The shops n' stuff are all in easy reach from the Calais ferry terminal, so we're not using the car over there this time.
Being brought up in SA, I still find it weird at times to be able to travel that relatively short distance and be in totally different country/ies, for such little money and with such ease and so many options.
Cheaper to visit France this way, from where we stay, than taking the car or train to either Wales or Scotland...go figure.

Morning all! This break from work is spoiling me, I just woke up after watching so much tv last night that it feels like someone has taken over my body.
On the 2012 issue, I don't believe it one bit and never will. I have very strong feelings on certain things, from Christmas, Easter holidays and valentines day that I would probably offend a few people if I were to say what I believe in.
The one Being I know and believe in is the BIG MAN upstairs... err, make that around us. He is the MAN and without His guidance I know things wouldn't be what they are.
Humans have this tendency to manufacture stuff and as gullible as we are we believe every one of them. The end of the world that was supposed to be in 2000 for example, how about the David Koreshs of this world? We don't know jack and only He knows! I'll leave it here.

Dups, agreed, there's so much that's ersatz about Christian holidays in general. If one traces the orgins back far enough it becomes clear that the choice of dates was heavily influenced by church and world politics, amongst other reasons. Finaly got my 5800!
busy using it now to write this via TV-Out its the Red one, fw is V21.0.025, so far im absolutely loving it,using the alphanumeric keyboard with no prob,alot easier than expected to type a post lol. Going to load music into it now,and maybe update the FW via FOTA to V31.0.101

Weird,my manual is written Xpress Music 5800 Navigation Edition. Maybe thats the difference? As V31 fw is available for mine.
