@ Hobbster:
You certainly got the props and action sequences sorted out, down to a fine art. Very convincing special effects there, boet.

Right, I've now asked O2 for my PAC number, which they've just given me.
Shame, they tried all the usual tricks to keep one on the network, but Wanqa knows all the rates of the various networks and for every option they threw at me, i was able to quote a better rate with the UK's newest 'virtual' network, belonging to supermarket giant 'ASDA'. Signal? They're using the best as their roaming partner, i.e. Vodafone.
Their new tariff kicks in on Monday and there's simply no other network at the moment that can compete on price.
A flat rate to all networks at any time is just 8p (approx R1.20) a minute, 4p (approx 60c) per sms, calls to SA cellphones are 20p (approx R3) a minute and GPRS is...hallelujah... also just 20p (approx R3) a Meg! Wooohoooo! By UK network rates, that's peanuts, and significantly cheaper than any other network here! No more being fuggin' ripped off for data!
I've read the fine print, terms and conditions etc. No limited offer, no expiry date gumf etc etc. I'm a happy Wanqa.
So long, O2.
Eish, I'm such a frugal Wanqa when it comes to such things, LOL.

Hmmm. . . .been sitting at the airport for the past 3hours. We got here early hoping to switch to an earlier flight but all early flights to jhb are overbooked so we are only boarding at around 4:15pm so not long from now.
Wanqa
Eish ya'll are spoilt there hey.
Gola
The W960 is now Free at Vodacom on Business Call at around R280pm, cant remember exact price but its under R300pm.

Just curious Wangs.Virgin Mobile here have data rates at R0.50c/MB.What are their data rates like over there?
Posted by amawanqa
Oh hell they're gonna give me stick about the cricket when I'm back at work on Monday... Oh well, at least SA won the test series against them.
@ Hobbster:
You sure you wanna know? Check this out:
Pay As You Go - £5 per MB (approx R75)
If one selects the Daily Bonus tariff, or if you pay by Direct Debit or if you're a Pay Monthly or Liberty SIM customer (contract sim only) - £2 per MB (approx R30)...
Here's the link to the above details:
http://www.virginmobile.com/v[....]d=payasyougo.tarrif.shop.sm018
Can you see now why this new ASDA tariff has Wanqa frothing at the mouth with glee? LOL.
Ja nee, the grass is always greener n' all that, hey? The phones are that much cheaper here but eish, data rates show up that much greater disparity or what...

I now see why you are so ecstatic about changing bud.

Just watched Die Hard 4 again on MNET and was once again charmed by that old Communicator and E61i that they make look super fast and highly sophisticated.Hacking into FBI data bases with a Nokia Communicator.Yeah right.
Posted by amawanqa
LOL yeah. Thoroughly enjoyed Die Hard 4.0 too.
Decided to fly to SA again next August i.e. 2 consecutive years, 'cos can you just imagine plane ticket prices and all other costs, even a few weeks after the 2010 Soccer World Cup... no thanks.

@ Gucci:
You back in Jozi now? Dang, 3+ hours at Cape Town's expanding airport doesn't sound like too much fun..

Wanqa
Great pic there boet.
Lol yep, what we did was to "chill" in the lounge of the airport boarding area upstairs. Drank quite a few hot chocs and cokes then 5mins before having to board we went down to those tents lol
All
Whats with the TVs in some of SAA's aeroplanes? No wonder they are in debt all the time, a flight from CPT-JHB is not long enough to play a movie anyway lol. And WTF arent we allowed to use our phones in Offline in SA flights??? In december British Airways flight crew said no when going to george and back and now SAA as well? Makes Offline on NOKIA and FLIGHT mode on a SE useless, im just frustrated cause once we reached cruising altittude there was the perfect sunset above the clouds would have been such a sweet pic, and i wanted to watch a movie i loaded on my n81. Stupid flight attendants.
Hobbs
Hows the weather down there tonite? Jhb is so warm, summer is definetly just around the corner.

Hey Mario.Glad u finally have some time with ur N95.One thing I love about this phone is that months can go by an you still feel u have something that can compete with the latest offerings. Its still a gem for now.Wouldnt mind that FM transmitter spec though.I think that would have been a cherry on the cake.8mp camera.5mp is enough for me personally.Look what Wangs can achieve on a 3.2mp cam.Stunning shots.Their is a certain amount of skill involved.By the way Gucci,I think it was Incredible Connections that are selling the P1i for R2699.00 Bargain.

@ JC:
I was asking myself that very same question..
Inconsistency seems to indeed be our biggest issue.
Keep it up...you can bet the Wallabies will try and throw even the kitchen sink at us in the second half. Pressure all the way, manne.

The w960i was about R300 more than the n78 at the SE shop at vodaworld, R5500, when I went there a couple of weeks ago. Either way it's a rip off.
When is your matric dance?

Huh,now that's a novelty. And no I ain't taking about the rugby (not my cup of tea). I am talking about a small 3.5g sign at the top left on my screen. A few days ago I registered for that 'service' at vodacom for a extra 49 rand a month pay-go, and I forgot about it. This afternoon I downloaded a 10MB + Utube file and after pressing 'enter' went to switch the kettle on for my afternoon tea. I come to check if the download has started and guess what? In just under a minute it was finished ! ! I thought it come from some cash file on my local wifi network but did not remember to have ever downloaded that video. So asked to 'reload' just to check and presto ! 200Kilobyte or 1.6Mbit a second ! ! ! And no it did not come from the wifi network ! Not bad Voda
