Still waiting for MTN the glen to get back to me regarding the SE G900. I phoned Sony Ericsson today and the kind gentleman who spoke to me says that MTN are the only resellers of the G900. Vodacom got stuck with the G700. Then I tried calling MTN's unhelpess 808 number to ask which MTN service centre has the phone in stock and they tell me to call another number. I called that number and the lady there says I have to go into a service centre to ask them to check online which SC has the phone in stock. Now either she's BSing me or the guy at the glen is, cause then he would've able to check that 2 weeks ago.
I will get this phone come hell or high water.

Have you tried the apps called S60Ticker and N82Smart? Realy nice and very convinient apps,both should be in JScott's wapgroup and even S60News Reader, you have S60Ticker to run S60News Reader.

Any word on pricing? In some parts of Europe the N78 is said to cost the same or even more than a N82, hopefully its not like that here. I suggest you also checkout the NOKIA 6220c, its like an N82 Just without the Wi-Fi, its got the same 5mp camera, GPS/ A-GPS,HSDPA, EDGE, Symbian S603.2 OS9.3 so its running on the same platform as the N78, 6220c also got the VGA @ 30FPS video recording, accelerometer and TV Out of N82 which the N78 does not have. Check it out bro: http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_6220_classic-2256.php just because the N78 is a Nseries it will be more expensive, but this 6220c maybe a better deal if you don't care for Wi-Fi.

Dam that sucks, would love to mod it after seeing some of those K800/K810 mods here. There would be some awesome mods for these A200 phones, like for the accelerometer, and would like to tweak the camera and sound.

Woohoo! Im updating my N81 to the new and fresh V20 FW! I could not wait any longer so i changed the product code to an APAC one using Nemesis! VERY easy to do. Once its finishd updating il change the code back to the original for obvious reasons
the update is only 76.6mb. its at 32.2mb rite now!

Yep, done! WOW!! Just when i thought my K850 had great Menu effects, this is far better! When moving in and out of a new menu it fades in and out, so smoothly, and pop-ups now slide up smoothly and as they come up they go from transparent to non transparent then do the opposite when going back down. The navi-wheel has improved and is now also working in Messaging and Contacts. I can now access Desktop YouTube and other Flash-8 sites with the default web browser, theres some other nice lil improvements and add-ons as well. It was worth the product code change

Greetings from EL, y'all. Having such a jol here with ol' connections. The P1i's scrollwheel has packed up; it's somehow recessed itself deep in the scrollwheel slot and there seems to be no way that it was caused from a drop or some ham-fisted pressing.The metal lanyard loop next to it would've prevented this in any fall, so I honestly don't know what's caused it... :-( Will need to take apart the housing to fix... BTW, my nephew's pretty stoked with the LG. Yeah, he has reason to be.

Wanqa, what's the signal quality like there at night? Both MTN and Vodacom are fine during the daylight hours here, but come nightfall the fun begins. It hops between 3G, Edge and plain ol' gprs like a rabbit on tik, you never know what to expect.

Ye, with the current hacks its possible, you also get themes that change the icons if you dont wanna do it yourself.

Ye Gola is right. I just checked Elite Mobile and the N78 is free on most contracts. From Business Call (R185pm) and up. The N82 still requires a R1400 pay-in on those contracts.
Dam it looking at all this makes me wonder if i should have waited for it, but the Voda people had told me they were only expecting it in another 2-3months
ah well still happy with my phones.
