'Nadal takes down Federer in Wimbledon classic.'

now thats a headline i love to see.well done mr nadal.

Posted by amawanqa
I usually couldn't give a toss about tennis (or golf for that matter), but a 4h48min duel like that is nothing short of incredible, and surely worthy of an 'all-time-greatest Wimbledon final' status, well to date anyway.
Surely eclipsing McEnroe n' Borg's iconic finals and any others before it..

Posted by JC08
@ ama n hobbs that was 1 amazing final, nadal was just better on the day and deserved to win...
@ gucci, I got the top up retention list and guess what... N82 was about R380 or something last month on top up 590, I think vcupgrade, elitemobile and nashua got some WAYY overprised prises... Cheers to all, enjoy your week ahead

Posted by amawanqa
Thanks JC; have a good week ahead too, boet.

Posted by amawanqa
Sorry for the small, blurry and really crap P1i pic taken while driving (naughty Wanqa, LOL), but it's not every day that one sees a Limo Hummer driving passed you:

The G900 is now available here, for the same money as a N82, i.e £299.95 (approx R4500):

I had a big scare just now, I exited Opera mini and tried to open mxit, and got the operation failed pop-up, I tried other apps and the same result... Luckily a shutdown and restart did the trick and now its working! Pheww

Posted by gola
Oh that, that would be one of my friend's k770, i took a couple of photo's with it. lol, my directional buttons aren't looking to good, but that's acceptable compared to the k770's button considering that he has only had it for some months....
It takes impressive daylight photos though

@ gola:

LOL, can almost buy a 5610 or 6500 Slide for that money here.
Then again, SA has much, much better data rates than the UK networks. Sigh, we can't have everything, hey?

Posted by amawanqa
@ Hobbster:
Aren't you finishing that motherless project this Friday? The end is (finally) nigh?

Posted by Falcon786
Hey guys i had a play on the n82 today and i must say it's pretty refined compare to the n95-1.the gps also now comes with voice guidance standard without any subscription bull...i'm thinking maybe that should be my next phone...

Posted by amawanqa
P1i macro mode pic; might use this one for the monthly pic competition, but I won't be using Photoshop or any other image-enhancing software.

To me that's an unfair advantage and takes the photographic skill away somewhat and to an extent replaces it with a PC programme skill.

It also belies the true potential of a specific cameraphone's cam performance.

Oh well, just my opinion.

Posted by JC08
@ falcon, Im also thinking in that lines now, Ive been doing some research on this device and I think thats what I want atm!

Posted by gola
Btw JC, the n78 for some reason is more expensive than the n82. I thought it was a midrange phone

Posted by amawanqa
The N78 is only £20 (approx R300) cheaper than the N82 here...

Posted by amawanqa
...and the new 5mp 6220 Classic is exactly the same price as the N81 8Gig.

Posted by gola
Not much of a difference.

"...Right now Nokia N78 retails at about 30 euro more than what you'd pay for a Nokia N82..." - 11th june

Posted by amawanqa
Ya, I don't get that. The N78 appears overpriced in comparison then, methinks.

Here's the links to the UK prices stipulated earlier:

I'm actually enjoying reading and looking at the K850i and LG Secret pic comparison thread.
Plankgatan makes me laugh. He'd make a brilliant fascist dictator, methinks.
Dang, and that Uber- K850i of his...I'm positively numb with awe...

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=170606

Posted by gola
Thanks Wanqs, i'd rather still get the n78 than the n82 though. Oh, and i'm with you with the photo's for the competition being able to be edited, just doen't make sense . Got school tomorrow, so night everyone...

Gola
LOL! @ that pic!
Falcon
Only thing i don't realy like about the N82 is the lack of Music keys, dull screen and the way it looks like something is missing in its design otherwise its a great phone, but if both N82 and N95-8GB were free on my contract i'd take the N95-8GB NO DOUBT!

Posted by EffenLied
@Wangs-Yep,should finish up Saturday lunchtime

@Gucci-The N95-8gb is a bloody awesome phone.Feature packed.Havent even scraped the surface I think with what I am capable of doing with it due to lack of time and the fact that Im so tired and braindead. At first I was a bit concerned with the fragility of the thing, the sqeauky keys ect but after having it for a little while ,the squeaky keys are no more squeaky and you get to realise its tougher than it looks and feels.I think its a psychological thing where you know how much power you have in your hands and you just to scared that you going to damage it.It really is a beautiful looking phone.Want to keep mine clean, shiny and scratch free forever if possible.Having the app RotateMe is like having a Nokia E61i without the QWERTY.Its my favourite app of all time.I go on Ipmart to look whats available everyday and everyday there is something new.Problem is I end up downloading absolutely nothing because once again you become dizzy with all that is available for the S60 platform and when you tired it just gets to much.If you dont get the N82 Guc,go for the N95-8GB.You've played on one so you know what Im talking about dude. But when its your own it becomes so much sweeter

The H-ster is now EffenLied.Dont ask why.It just is.Will ask Brix to update the prof and delete the old.

Posted by amawanqa
EffenLied it is then, boet.

@Kryptik and everyone. How do you upload photo's to your post using another photo uploading site like Kryptik has done in the past.I use my bosses computer to browse the internet and it wont allow me to login to Esato when I want to upload photos.Bloody pain in the arsehole lol

@ EL:
What I sometimes use is http://www.imageshack.us , then go to 'browse' and select the pic I want to upload from the PC and then click 'host it'.

Once that's happened, I scroll down the page (ignoring the thumbnail options/links higher up the page), to the 'hotlink for forums (1)'. I then highlight the url link provided, then copy and paste it into my post.

Job done. :

If there was one good reason to get the N95, its the case of its memory capabilities.82.15 RAM still available with some apps running in the background,6.1 GB of Mass Memory left after installing 160 songs, the SpiderMan3 movie (pre-installed),99 5mp pics,2 20minute 'naughty' boy video clips from the one and only Phonerotica (great site ) lol My phone memory is running very low because all the apps I install go there.
@Gucci-If there is one plus of the N95 over the N82,its that 8GB's.Use it or lose it.

Ya, SE is already in trouble, Samsung's 8mp cam phone has been leaked. And it packs a punch in the spec department and looks too!

Hey Wanqs, you have the w350?

I have to admit that I didn't think the Boks had much of a chance at The House Of Pain in Dunedin. I'm so glad that I was wrong, and that they were the ones to put an end to NZ's record 30 games-unbeaten-at-home streak.

The House Of Pain is so low down on the NZ map and therefore much colder, and is pretty much a haven for university students studying on the lower part of the South Island, getting tanked-up to keep themselves warm n' pumped up before AB games etc. NZ is also having one of its coldest snaps ever and the conditions looked to favour them too.
Fot the Boks to win there and to do waht they did is fantastic.

Have to also admit though, Dan Carter is just an incredible player, even with the odd missed drop goal.

Ricky Januarie, yer beauty!

Anyways, they're doing a lot, lot better tha the Proteas at the moment...

Yeah, tell me about it; that's why I often do my best to keep this thread ticking over with cellphone pics and cellphone price comparisons etc etc.

I'm unable to post at work anymore, as the local authority filter lets me check out esato and other sites, but does not allow access to any forums now..
I could post from my cellphone during my lunch hour etc, but data rates here ain't the cheapest, enough for me to wait until I get home. Hence the evenings 'shifts' and parts of the weekend in this thread are pretty much Wanqa Time, LOL.

No boet, but I really like the looks of it, despite its fairly small screen.
I just changed the avatar 'cos the green n' purple tints on the low light pics i took yesterday were really pissing me off.
I managed to get some stunning pics from the school's rooftop (nearly 4 storeys up) with some ominous cloud formations building up, then some seagulls were hovering in the breeze, just a few metres above me. I managed to get some clear pics of them with the stratus cloud build-up as the background, but all of them were 'affected' so much by the crap tinting that I deleted the lot...

Enough to tick me off to change my avatar, LOL.

C'mon Nokia, where's those S60 touchscreens dammit, LOL.

@ ama, thats what i love about vodacom is the data bundles, saves me a hell of a lot of airtime! Whats your next phone going to be?

Posted by Kryptik
I'm slowly coming to the realization as well that i need to get myself a new phone. The 6680 is still performing as required, but maybe the time has come to retire it. Maybe this year... or next year LOL, i don't find it easy to part with a favourite handset.

The Boks did a splendid job today, although the All Blacks gave them a tough game.
