works now.have you tried it?
Okay, after this discussion about the reverse call came up again, i tried it out this morning...
this is how you do it (i made the call from my prepaid to my contract number)
You dial 082180and the full number. For example, if the number you want to dial is 0821234567 you have to dial 0821800821234567 you will hear a message in the lines of "Please be patient while we try to connect your reverse call" about 2 seconds later the phone you are making the reverse call to will start ringing. I assume when the contract subscriber answers the call they will be told that it is a reverse call attempt, and will get the option of allowing the call or rejecting it.

@ROB123: What version of Mixit are you using? Java or UIQ? Back in the day I used to teh java version of Mxit on my P910 and didn't have any problems.
@BRIX: UIQ I presume? Downloaded via their wap site.(v5.5) How would I get the java version?

Hows the P990 doing today?
Posted by HOBBS
Its all good Gucci. The new battery just needed a good long charge.Im so so happy to have it back(ha ha only one day) I dont know how those people feel that are seperated with their "precious" for 3 weeks or longer. You should have seen how i screamed at the girl at Vodacare when i dropped my phone off.She violently rips opens my memory card door and then tries to force it back in (which you cant,it takes a special action) You should have been there, you would have thought me mad.Oh my goodness, just saw on the news,Stormers toppled the Chiefs in Wellington and are sitting at no.6 on the table.Go Stormers. Also Proteas are on top of the world at no1 in One Day cricket.Go Proteas.Oh by the way, played again today on a Nokia E61i and i cant rave enough about how much i love that phone.I might just bypass a fancy smancy uptodate specced phone for my upgrade and get that baby as my second back;up phone.Brix have you considered an E61i?
Posted by HOBBS
Got to say im impressed with Mxit.No need for me to have IM Plus,Agile Messenger or Slick.Mxit has Jabber.GoogleTalk,ICQ and MSN.(one other I cant remember.) Hats off to the Mxit guys. They have an awesome product.

@HOBBS: Not decided yet but like I said I'm not rushing anything.
Stormers fans are a fickle bunch. But I loved how they held on at the end to kept the Chiefs out.

P1i pics: the W380 in stock at the local Orange shop. The black seems to be an exclusive one with them (although the universal purple one in the first pic is also stocked by them).
However, they don't stock the graphite/grey one, which has the metallic light blue Walkman logo.

Me likes the W380...gesture control anyone?
Posted by HOBBS
Hey jmash.i hope that link wanga gave sorted you out bud with core player 1.2.0 Enjoy! Boy its good to have a new battery.im on my second day of usage and ive still got 30 percent left on the battery indicator.Sweet.Im now using a font called 'kirby No kira' its massive on the large zoom setting. Most things dont even fit on the screen but its just such a strange experience where your screen real estate is used to its full potential that its quite appealing.

@Wangster-Ive made some changes to the 'Smoke Abstract' theme using Theme Creator.Just small practical like the drop down menu background made reading very difficult because of that bright white abstract swirls and also the colour and form of the text from grey shaded/outine to just white normal.Do you want a copy?
Posted by amawanqa
@ da brixsta:
Ya, the gesture control should be a fun novelty to have; one can kinda imagine what amateur choreography will be trialed by hordes of W380 owners, for the various alerts n' functions...
@ Hobbster:
Trying to picture those changes...sounds keewwl. Thanks boet; ya I'd be grateful if you could forward that to me. Thanks.
@ jmash:
Like The Hobbster sez, hope you came right there. The Hobbster's a lot more on the ball than I am when it comes to finding bril UIQ3 applications. All hail Guru New Uiq Stuff Hobbster (GNUSH), lol.

Fellaz I'm so heartbroken, took back the P1 TO f*** mtn again.3 days after waiting for 5 weeks to get it back.Yesterday the jog dial broke, all by itself.took it off my pocket and the thing was broken. This is a f#*@ nightmare

I bought myself a pair of Jensen Jaxx earphones today, its pretty good I must say, I can even hear the bass on my k810 which i couldnt with the hpm-70 earphones...

sorry to hear that jmash.if it makes any difference, vodacom's technical team sucks as much.had, still have a similar problem with them...
@JC
nice,pics boet.let's see
Posted by brix25
Hope you guys on Vodacom didn't miss any important calls during the blackout this afternoon.
Posted by amawanqa
Posting from the P1i. My ISP's connection has gone AWOL tonight. First time that's happened... First thought it was maybe the router, tried LAN settings, unplug, reboot, etc. No luck. Phone ISP technical helpline, and a pre- recorded message soon explains a technical problem with the ISP themselves. Amazing how spoilt we've become with the 'net.
Posted by amawanqa
..and problem sorted! Woohoo! Wasn't expecting them to have it sorted already.
@ jmash:
Eish boet, that's really rotten luck. Weird that the scroll wheel just gave up like that.
Posted by HOBBS
@Jmash That my friend is not cool.5 weeks and counting.Painful.What do you say to that. You go in with one problem which they fix and come out with a totally different problem, thanks to the technician who clumsily put your phone back together and replaced your jogdial back incorrectly.Thats another 1-2 weeks of suffering for you that could of been zero.I hope you get it back soon Jmasher.

Just heard Charl Langeveldt has withdrawn himself from the Proteas squad because of all that controversy regarding selection.Shame man.

Lol Brix and those new wide flat screen monitors they've just bought. I like the mans setup.Very comfortable.Dont like the R15 an hour thing though.Use to be R10 an hour and then he's rent went up so he had to hike his prices. Its amazing how R5 can subconciously disuade you from using an internet cafe.

Eish, can you imagine a whopping 60% cost increase proposed by Eskom...

@ Hobbster,
Downloaded the modified theme. Will install it tonight and check it out. Will take a few 'Screen Capture' shots of it on the p1i too.
Posted by GUCCI.011
FINALY got to play with the N82 today, will post a pic of it soon! Must stay its a real beauty once you see it up close. The screen is the same one from N81, since the N82 is a candybar i thought the screen would look smaller but it still looks pretty big,and the phone itself didn't feel like a brick to me atleast.
Hobbs i don't think you would like it,its build quality and materials are the same ones used on N81. Makes my upgrade choice easy, definetly getting N82
@ Jmash
Ay that realy sux man, sorry to hear that, hopefuly it doesn't take too long to fix it.
Posted by HOBBS
Hey wangster.get the latest versions of Swiss Manager Pro and Aqua Calendar from Ipmart.@Gucci-The N82 was on my Top 6 list bud so you never know.Your mind seems to be made up.It must have impressed the socks off you.
