Rhino, very nice indeed boet! Mrs.K was ooooh-ing and aaah-ing here over my shoulder when i viewed the pix. Quite a bit of effort went into the big day, from what we saw. I can only imagine what it costs to "walk down the aisle" these days... back when i did the deed, the whole shebang, from the cars to the outfits to the flowers to the restaurant, 300 guests and all, cost less than R20k
My colleague's daughter is preparing for her matric farewell, and the fabric being used to make the dress is setting her folks back by R4500... i shudder to think what my Grade 3 daughter's outfit will cost someday. Maybe, if there's a Higher Power following this thread, things could be arranged so that fashion at that stage will dictate wearing an old jeans and t-shirt to the farewell, lol

er well uhm heres cheap:there are some street shops in braamfontein selling the n95 8gb and n81 8gb for about R4000 and R3500 respectively.wheres the catch besides that they don't have warranty?and they look new,don't think they are stolen...

Played around with the K850 today...its actually quite "thick"...feels good but the only bummer was the generic Vodacrap UI (user interface).

Less than half price for that N95.I wouldnt touch it with a bargepole.Thank goodness im 3 days inside my warranty with VODACOM so the service check will be free.The battery on the other hand is most probably going to cost me because of the 6 month cover.And remember guys that stupid here didnt charge his phone when he got it.He played with it until the battery went dead and then charged.My bad.

You're worrying me now,when i got my N81 i did the same because the lady at the counter advised me to,she said if i turn on the phone and the factory charge is still full then i should play around with the phone until its dead then recharge for something like 8hours. So im hoping thats not what caused the problem lol.

K700i is a lovely little phone.Gucci,I think the Golden rule is to give it that good 8-12hr charge before using it.It even says not doing this will effect your batteries lifespan.

Lol no not realy, the back part of the N95-8gb housing is rubbery and grips will in your hand whilest the front is all plastic, its realy thick and the N81 feels more solid than it, its not too bad but it doesn't realy feel like a 9grand phone.
you will soon find yourself bored with that K500.

Hi all. Hope one of you can help me. I have just tried Mxit on my P1i and cannot get the keyboard to work. It works as if I have a normal multitap keyboard, so all the keys are mismatched! Is there a version that works with the touch screen handwriting recognition yet?

Got to play with the W910 today,my friend who had the HTC S710 just "upgraded" to a W910, does that realy make sense to anyone here?
Anyway its a sweet phone,his is Blackish grey with the Gold edges, very interesting animated UI but thats it, much rather have my N81.

Maybe charger also gone.
One thing i am going to change with this new battery is only charge it after its run right down and discharges itself.
Going to stick to the rules on good battery maintenance.

Speaking of batteries, i use 4 of them on a rotational basis in the 6630 and 6680. There's a thread hereabouts where good battery maintenance is discussed, and the tips given there are quite comprehensive. Thus far i've gotten good service from all four, the newest being a year old, the oldest being the original one that came with the 6630. Average duration is about 36 hours, when used heavily for gprs. With casual usage it usually lasts for 3-4 days. LOL, despite the rolling blackouts i haven't used the emergency charger even once yet
