Walking through the park again long after work, I couldn't resist taking a pic of the of the lamp post n' tree combo, with all the rain drops reflecting light in their own little ways.
So under the shelter of a brolly tonight, wind blowing and the rain coming down, I take a pic with the

The new wavey-pattern disc brakes for those Tokico calipers for the TL arrived from The Far East today.
They're for the Suzuki superbike, mate. (TL).
I'm only fitting them in late February, just before it goes for its yearly roadworthy test. (MOT). I'll fit the new calipers etc all at the same time.
The standard brake discs and calipers will be used until then, after all there's still plenty 'life' in them.

Furthermore, another man got kiled in our 'location' - nothing special would one say - until you realise he was a xhosa shot by a Somalier with a stholen handgun (in Knysna 1998). Then 300-400 Xhosas burned all 7 Somali shops in Jeffrey's. The police was soooo disorganised. Needless to say- most police man/women at the scene have enough 'provisions' for months to come

Intesting PR piece for those amongst us using Mig33.
16 January 2008
MIG33 LAUNCHES PREPAID DISTRIBUTION IN SOUTH AFRICA
BURLINGAME, California, January 16/PRNewswire/ Ä
- Registration in Area Balloons to 2 Million; Prepaid mig33 Offering to be Available in More Than 1,000 Retail Locations across South Africa
mig33, the global mobile social network, today announced the company obtained a distribution license in South Africa with the assistance of the DNR Group. The company’s first partnership in South Africa with Lutiek Distributor enables mig33 to offer prepaid services at more than 1,000 retail locations to the more than 2 million people already using mig33 across the country. The company is actively working to expand its presence in the area and hopes to announce similar partnerships in the coming months.
With this deal mig33 is now a viable option for prepaid card vendors looking for a differentiated product to add to their distribution channel, opening access to mig33’s loyal base of repeat buyers to them for the first time. Unlike traditional prepaid phone cards which just offer voice calls, mig33’s prepaid offers users access to a mix of free and inexpensive services like VoIP calls, instant messaging, text messaging, social networking and community features, and in the future mobile content, allowing users to apply their prepaid value to a variety of services beyond international voice.
“So many companies focus on areas of the world where they can generate the most advertising revenue, which means the majority are focused solely on the U.S. and UK,” said Steven Goh, co-founder and CEO of mig33. “Those areas are very important for us as well, but relatively smaller markets like South Africa are often overlooked and are hungry for attention. These areas can drive a lot of data revenue for a company willing to take the time to attend to them.”
mig33 works on most mobile phones, even basic models, regardless of carrier, and creates an instant global mobile community experience to share with existing and new friends. The technology was built for the mobile phone, making mig33 an integrated and easy way to access and use instant communications around the globe. Users share content while chatting in forums or specific chat rooms they create to build their own personal communities.
For more information about mig33 please visit http://www.mig33.com.
About mig33

DEMO Conference, and selected as the winner of Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal’s 2007 Emerging Technologies Awards in the category of Social Networking. With more than 9 million global users already, mig33 offers mobile phone users the power of the Internet and cost savings on VoIP calls, text messaging, instant messaging, chat rooms, profiles and photo sharing.

Mario, that's quite scary, boet... Tjoksville and Kouga seem to be hotspots at the moment. The same xenophobic trend is rife here as well. I've threatened my kids with a punishment worse than death if ever i hear them using that ugly word to refer to foreign nationals, or if i hear they've been involved in any way with the looting of shops belonging to foreign nationals. It's ugly.
Gucci, i'm happy to hear that you had a good first day back, mate. May the rest of the year progress just as smoothly.

Dang, that's one styling Gucci belt, Gucci.
It's great when friends, family etc put that kind of thought into (appropriate) gifts n' pressies.

@pop - When will school END at your end matey
Posted by amawanqa
@ Jojo,
School in the UK is from September to July.
In SA it's (usually) from mid-January to early December.
In the UK, the test marks are then converted into 'Levels'. Within these levels there are 3 sub-levels demarcated with the letters a, b and c.
BTW, have you seen this video? Someone took a Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa engine and put it into a 'Smart Car'! Look how wild the car performs now:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPQIizRp9ck
..and dragging a Ferrari
You can hear those Yoshimura exhaust pipes screaming from that superbike engine in that Smart Car:

Day Two of the academic year, and already there's the usual weeping and wailing, not wanting to get out of bed, the refusal to get dressed and go to school, but eventually my better half had the upper hand and forced me to go to work

so i went to the vodacare to complain about my phone...first they claimed they never opened the phone before, yeah right.so i told them to check it on their system as to where it has been, turns out it was sent to bloem.which got me wondering why are they called vodacare if they can't fix phones themselves and have to send it somewhere else.so anyways it's the vodacare at bloem that messed the phone up and they'd have to send it to them to fix it...so i just took my phone and left...now where did i put my screwdriver set? ? ?

If you wanna see P990 pics taken with my phone I started posting some on my bloggie.More to follow.

@ Kryptik,
LOL, I taught a 'Wanga' when I was teaching grade 7 in EL. He wasn't the most attentive character, and I'll never forget when one of the teachers, who was a 'When-We...' (i.e. "ex-Rhodesian") , battled to pronounce some of the more indigenous names properly (usually not pronouncing the first vowel flat at all). So when Wanga messed up something badly in the big quad one day, ol' Mr Haig-Smith shouted "WANGA!" out loud. The incorrect pronounciation had all the staff (and most of the kids) turning their heads, wondering if what they heard was one thing or another...LOL.
