@pop - Goooooooooood Evening : Professor !

You are very much welcome . .

I'll try looking for the: ZX7R-tone . . . for your mobile phone (Bike ya have . .), but I am making an advance notice here that SOUND will not MUCH differentiate with that of the ZX6R tone. OKI

Posted by amawanqa
@ J-Man,
LOL, yeah there won't be too much difference in the exhaust note between the two...
I'm probably going to record one or two of the TL (v-twin) in the future; should make a good alarm ring tone...

Posted by *Jojo*
@pop - OK, that's GOOD ! By the way . . .what exhaust-pipe ya have in your: Suzuks mate A stock Juan

Posted by amawanqa
@ Jojo,
They're British-made performance exhausts by a company called Blue Flame.

Here's their website:
http://www.blueflameperformance.com/bike/evo_race_cans.asp

They're very well-priced (for performance pipes) and the build quality is fantastic.

Posted by *Jojo*
@pop - OK, so you'changed the STOCK one in your - TL-bike Or is that the one alreadyfitted in thebike when you bought it

Nice LINK !

Posted by amawanqa
No mate, it came with the stock pipes. I fitted those onto the TL quite a few a months after buying the bike. Now the TL sounds like a v-twin should.

Check this bike nutter out :

Posted by *Jojo*
@daddy - OK . . . nice pic ! If I had a BIKE like that . . I would 100% be replacin' it for a BABE too mate !

That's TOTAL security ! Nobody can steal his bike from him while he is . . .

Posted by amawanqa
LOL, total security indeed, mate.

Check this dude out, who's clearly missing his sports bike... :

Posted by *Jojo*
@pop - Looks like that GUY is still prior to the race

Posted by amawanqa
@ Jojo,
Speaking of , I'm gonna head off to NeverNeverLand now. Got lots to do later today and it's nearly 1:45am. Have a gr8 Saturday, mate.
G'night, J-Man.

@dad - Good Night . . . have FUN in your dreams . . .

Speaking of: Neverland . . . . .

Quiet around here today....

The price of the Motorola RAZR2 V8 has plummeted to £149.95 (approx R2100) here, at the CPW:
http://shop.carphonewarehouse[....]o/motorola/motorazr2-v8-black/

@ Jojo, LOL, that .gif of Johnny Depp as ol' Willy Wanka er..Willy Wonka from the movie based on the Roald Dahl classic 'Charlie And The Chocolate Factory'.

Posted by *Jojo*
@pop - Yeah . . . but that's - Jacko in the GIF - right

Good afternoon !

Posted by amawanqa
Yeah it certainly is Wacko Jacko as Willy Wonka; the nose (what's left of it) and chin are rather obvious clues...

. . . . . so, my chances of your Kawa is . . .is . . . . is !

Posted by Kryptik
i'll bet that if David Blaine had read that last post, Wanqa, he'd travel to Vladivostok just to ride a bike naked. That's one crazy dude! The current temperature there is -18 deg.Celsius. The maximum for today is -15deg.Celsius

Posted by amawanqa
@ Jojo,
Sorry, mate...

@ Kryptik,
Suddenly my reluctancy to ride in biting wind-chill factors pales into insignificance when I read that... I don't envy the Russkis enduring those temperatures in the far eastern expanses of their Motherland. Eish...met ysch ,ja.

Posted by *Jojo*
@kryptik - That David Blaine is the - Magician right I am seeing some of his MAGICs in the AXN-channel (cable) . . . man he is REALLY good, specially when THINKING what's in your MIND he can also ELEVATE himself OFF the ground for about a FOOT I guess He really is GOOD in making things disappear . . .

I say its a good thing.Keep those Russki hackers and crackers indoors freezing their balls off hacking and cracking away.lol

Goodbye Polly.Great career,great palyer.Hello Mr Steyn.Finally,a bowler with some fire.The man is on a roll at the moment.Well done Protea's.Bring on the ODI's.

As regards the cricket, well 91 wickets in 18 test matches for Steyn says it all. Simply awesome, although his over-the-top celebration antics were exactly that.

@ Jojo,
The new wavey-pattern disc brakes for those Tokico calipers for the TL arrived from The Far East today. Good ol' eBay; paid a third of what they cost new locally.

Had to also get a new battery for the mrs's Olympus camera. £29.99 for a 1090 mAh battery from local camera chain store Jessops seemed like a rip-off. £5.28 (which included postage) for a brand new 1400 mAh one off eBay seemed a lot more palatable...

God bless online selling indeed! I buy rechargeable batteries via Bidorbuy from a stockbroker in Jhb. He buys and sells as a hobby, and seems to have some incredible connections because i've never paid anything close to what the stores charge.

Posted by amawanqa
That's for sure, boet.
Groceries and other basic living consumables aside, it's been a while since I've bought myself something in a conventional shop; and saved a helluva lot in the process as well.

Posted by amawanqa
Hasn't been the best start to the weekend; the car's head gasket went for a loop.Managed to crawl to the grease monkeys. And a bill of a good few hundred £'s looks likely, after skimming the cylinder head, gaskets, labour, oil, coolant etc etc...

Posted by HOBBS
bummer about the car wangaman.greasemonkey's.can't live with them,can't live without them hey.

Posted by amawanqa
lYa nee, poefie happens, as we know. Oh well, fortunately it didn't happen during peak hour traffic etc. Just inconvenient that it happened shortly after Christmas, but we'll survive. The P1i also got its 1st small mark yesterday after it landed on the floor. Annoying, as I try to be super-careful with all my phones...

Posted by GUCCI.011
@ Wanqa
Eish sorry to hear about the car and P1's 1st mark,both annoying. Its a record i havent droppd this baby since i got it. Most of my phones get their 1st mark with in the 3rd week i remember my Nokia 7250i got its 1st big scratch with in the 1st week.
@ everyone
Finaly! I got an app called MobileSigner and my Device Certificate, NOW i can sign my own apps right on my phone hehe ,gota love Prodigits.

@pop - Very well then . . . it's time to BRING the BIG TOY . . . OUT !

Happy SUNDAE people !

Posted by amawanqa
@ Gucci,
Yup, but life goes on hey. It'll also teach me to invest in a Krusell leather case for the phone, which kept the P900 so pristine for a good few years.
Should have the car back before the end of the week, so we'll be using the tube trains to work until then.

@ Jojo,
Nice ZX7R pic. LOL, there's no way I'm riding to work on any of the bikes. In SA I used to, but not here.

Posted by *Jojo*
@pop - Well, that's your BIKE mate . . . in all of it's Kermit-the-Frog glory-color !

Btw, are you using a cae for your P1i mate I think the IEC-20 will fit into it I just ordered one at amazon.com (relatives in the USA).

IEC-20:

. . or a Capdase:

Posted by amawanqa
@ Jojo,
Thanks for those pics. mate.
Here's another alternative, which is what I was referring to:

http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/13973.htm

I'll be uploading a P1i pic of those new mega-cool brake discs in the next few minutes...

Posted by *Jojo*
@pop - You are welcome !

OK, 'will wait for those disc-brake-pics . . . how I wish I'll be seeing the entire Kawa-bike

Posted by amawanqa
Here you go ( P1i pic):

Another P1i pic:
When we dropped off the car at the garage earlier this evening, the police were escorting English Premiership Football team, Fulham, down High Street South in East Ham to the A13 motorway, after they lost 2-1 to West Ham today :

@pop - Nice disc ! Did it cost you much to have that delivered at your doorsteps I mean the thing looks kinda - heavy The last of the SURVIVING - P900 on the side

I saw the Krusell case mate . . . did NOT like the way it looks but I guess that's cheap for it's price I have my original IEC-20 leather case bought in the US just for US$ 9.50 + handling fee = US$ 15.95, and when I looked for it at my end, it cost TWICE that price so I let my Aunt buy it for me last November 2007 will arrive tomorrow though !

Posted by amawanqa
@ J-Man,
Yeah, it's obviously one of the pair of front disc brakes. Postage to my door (from China) was £16.00, and that was via registered airmail too. The pair of discs cost £87, so £103 altogether. A pair of top-spec discs like that from a shop here would cost roughly 3 times that, and that's no exaggeration...

As regards the case, I'll go onto eBay later today and see what they're selling before I make up my mind. That's a damn smart case you've ordered, mate. I remember the P900 having one quite similar to that as well.

Posted by *Jojo*
@pop - So, you TOOK the risk ordering that disc-brake all the way from China-town Well, if that's really CHEAP then . . . what the HECK - right

Yup, I got the case that cheap (an original Juan too!) . . . I googled it UP first, and after a few browse on the links . . . i stumble on the - amazon.com site . . . and it's bargain, so I emailed my aunt - asap in the US to buy it for me The IEC-20 case FITS ALL of the P-series fones. . . that 's why I am QUITE certain that it will FIT your P1i too

Why are you still UP, btw

Posted by amawanqa
@ Jojo,
Yeah, the guy/eBay 'shop' had excellent feedback from a good few UK customers already, amongst other equally satisfied international customers, so it seemed a fairly safe bet, which it was.
With eBay, apart from the UK, I've bought things from Singapore, Japan, USA, China, Argentina, Ireland, The Netherlands and Germany and all the stuff has arrived as described. I do check the seller's credentials very carefully before purchasing though, and so far it's (quite literally) paid off.

The better half is just finishing composing a song on her Yamaha keyboard, which is coupled to one of her 2 PC's, then it'll be time to shut down here.

Is your wifey a musician by profession (music teacher)

Good night matey . . . a couple more hours and it's back to REALITY - again !

Sorry to hear about the car's engine, Wanqa, not a lekker experience, but it happens to the best of us when we least need it... The same thing happened to my dad's Toyota recently. Fortunately the chief grease-monkey at one of the local Toyota dealerships lives around the corner from me, so it was only a matter of pottering till there and collecting the car a few days later.

So at 10pm last night i downloaded an ebook, Richard Matheson's I Am Legend. It was so good that i couldn't bring myself to bookmark it and continue reading today, and eventually i finished it at 01h30. Absolutely gripping stuff.

Hey JK,welcome to the P1 club my broer!Sure thing you're gonna enjoy it.If you're into mobile gaming you should try your hands on Asphalt 2.cool racing game with cool graphics.

Posted by amawanqa
@ Gucci,
Thanks, boet. Ya, I'm not the world's biggest lover of bulky phone covers, but I can't argue as to how well it protected the P900.
As regards Newcastle, well I really feel for what they're going through at the moment; they've sacked the manager recently and their performances have been pretty dire against less-established Premiership teams.
It's kinda like what West Ham went through last year in a way.

@ da brixsta,
Like most people, I expected The Gunners to maintain the Premiership lead after facing Birmingham yesterday... they played well to hold Wenger's boys to a draw though.

@ JK,
Welcome to the P1i fold!
Another smartphone in the ranks to maintain the Symbian platform balance.

Well my 6 month contract with Virgin (a limited 'special' through The Carphone Warehouse, which included a £90 chequeback) comes to an end next month, so I phoned them up earlier to push my luck as to what deal/s they could offer me to stay with them before I contemplated greener network pastures.
They're prepared to offer me 200 minutes and 200 sms's for £10 (approx R140) a month over 18 months, or £6.66 (approx R95) a month for 150 minutes and 150 sms's, over the same time frame.
Not too shabby...
I've got until the end of next month to make up my mind.

@ Jojo,

@JK: Where have you been bro? Granted, I've been on and off this thread for the last six months. Congrats on the new device, won't call it a phone as it does way more than call and text.
