@ Jojo,
Ohlins make the best forks in the world. Valentino Rossi and most of the Moto GP racers use them.
My TL has Ohlins fork springs in it, but the original outer stanchions and sliders.
@ Kryptik,
Can't access that link from work, boet. The filter's blocking it. Will check it out when I get home.
Back to the phone stuff, I'm having problems visiting esato on O2 WAP on the P900, and I keep getting the dreaded 'This page contains errors and cannot be displayed' message if I try view the pages using XHTML... frustrating.
Looks like I'll have to possibly stick with Orange's less troublesome connection for browsing, on the
P1i...

@ Gucci, actually I love it like this
@ All using Opera Mini, do you also find that v3.0 has better cookie handeling than v4.0?

Just watched David Blaine stay under water and hold his breathe for 7min 50 secs (unfortunitely failed to break the world record which stands at 8min 34) Incredible. And this was at the end stage of spending 7 days submerged in a sphere full of water assisted by an oxygen mask. The man is 'endurance' personified.

@JC
True bro, free periods are the best. Nah to come here ive now given up on both Opera Minis today, im so annoyd by both,im using the phones Safari Browser, but ye OM-3 handles cookies VERY well, OM-4 had me having to type in my name and password everytime.

WOW! Hobbs great job with the blog man
Dam im loving the Safari Browser,im viewing 3 diff sites, although thats not sumthng to hype about i hardly ever used the Window feature cause on the N80 it would crash due to little ram.
Yep the E61i is a beauty, the screen 2.8inch landscape with 16million colours made it look so good! But i think 'Liam' maybe smaller than E61i from what i heard.

@gucci.You just gotta get the image left-right thing right.Takes up less space. When you add an image, click on left.Upload.Then add another image, click on rightupload, cut it,and paste it next to the 'left' image text without a space.
Its amazing switching between my blog and yours and seeing the UIQ3 layout against the S60 layout. They are so different and special in their own rights.Thats why I wanted you to start one alongside mine.
Come on Kryps.Dont you have a Palm.I wanna see the Palm in action.
And that goes for anyone in here who has maybe a Windows Mobile or any other phone with a platform which isnt any of the above.

O ye of little faith, fear not: the Celestial Symbian powers shalt unleash a plague of UIQ devices across the lands in the months ahead, to help counter thy wayward HOST (Hobbster's Other Symbian Tendencies)!
Thou must refraineth from becoming a Phone-Philistine and seeketh the tactile advantages of thy UIQ weapon's screen...unleash thy stylus-staff, and away those Dark Side deceptions that again manifest....
Supress thy S60 urges and take thy rightful place as The
Rebellion's Symbian Sultan of the South, LOL.
Right, now for a cuppa java, check out The Hobbster's updated blog and then back to marking...

thanx Hobbs! Will definetly try that!
True, theres a big difference between UIQ and S60 when you look at the Blogs, although UIQ does tend to look a bit more sophisticated than S60.
Posted by HOBBS
I awaiteth the UIQ3 phone plaque prophecized for 2008 but I fear it will not be devastating enough to keep me away from 'Liams' glaring eye .The S60 celestial beings are circling the mobile heavens looking for UIQ devotees lacking in faith. And I my dear brother have fallen.lol
Bugger that.Bring on the P5i and we will slay whatever stands in our way.

@ Jojo,
Apart from forks and steering dampers, they also make rear shocks for bikes, which your ol' classmate also fitted to his R1 (the distinctive yellow spring and gold nitrogen reservoir, which I mentioned when I first saw those pics).
The last 2 of the 3 pics here were taken with the N73 last year. This is part of the Ohlins rear shock on my TL:
Ohlins also make suspension for cars, skimobiles and ATV's.
Anywayz, I've just finished another lot of books which needed marking, it's nearly 1am and I'm really tired. Gotta get some sleep. Have a great Thursday, mate.

@ Jojo,
Some wild stunts in that video, mate.
As for that dude riding that ZX10R at just under 300km/h on a twisty public road with minimal run-off area, well that's just mad..even though you can see he knows the road well by the way he brakes and changes gears. Still crazy; and that truck was pretty close...
Thanks for those links, pal.
Back to the phone stuff, the
W960i is now selling for £319.95 (approx R4500) from CPW.

@ tranced,
It's been quite a busy start to the new year for me so far, but I'm quite excited about what this year has in store, including a holiday back in my native SA in late July and August.
Just can't wait for that one; haven't been back for 3 years, the longest I've ever been away from SA...

@Rhino: That's an awesome site.
Anyone on MTN pay-as-you-go would've noticed that they've ended their summer tariff promotion.
Basically if your area message displayed "MTNZONE 95%" it meant that you would only pay 95% of call charges...Last week it went as low as 5% and 10%.
My question is: If networks have the ability to impliment such a system why can't they differentiate between local and long distance calls?
Posted by mario2004
@Brix In SA you pay for distance calls even if you phone your girlfriend next door. This is how it is and it will stay that way for a loooong time.
@ All Someone help the SAPS. It looks like the top cop is 'sorting out' some 'private matters'. According to his friend Agliotti, the Scorpions must be disbaned with imediate effect and stop prosecuting such noble man as him and Zuma and the rst of the 'cream de la cream'. Furthermore, did you know - the Scorpions and NPA work for the CIA and FBI ? ? ? Huh, I love my work and especially my T O P Management
I can't believe a few days ago I had to lockup a lady with a baby on her arm because of shoplifting. (She stole a +-5Rand bread at the local cafe)
Does the word JUSTICE mean something in your country? It certaily means a lot in SA. Wish you all a happy 2008 (albeit late)

Hey kryps.by shock u mean the horror of 'afterbirth' lol ive ask a couple of men friends about their experiences being present at the birth and it alway ends there with a look of horror on their faces.lol Beautiful baby and congrats to them. @Mario The politics in this country be it goverment,in the police force,in sport ect boggles the mind. What can you do though.Your tiny voice can never penetrate the top echelons of power.Arrested a woman for shoplifting R5 worth of merchandise. Why didnt u just drop her off around the corner? She broke the law yes but thats just anal.Cmon Mario, get a couple of promotions and sort out our police force which is ridden with vagabonds and people who r just cops for the sake of having a job.We need cops that are passionate, brave and ohnest regardless of how much they get paid.I have high respect for those cops, especially in this country where danger to their lives is an everyday realisation.

@kryptik: the baby seems to be smiling to the camera. congrats for your new member.
@amawanqa: well, everything's not perferct. wish you, then, a nice vacation in july
Posted by mario2004
I really wish I could do something about it, but I can't. I see lots of crime been commited among my own police buddies (especially the management like using police vehicles without permission which amount to theft of petrol and state property). There is not much control anywere - wich is good for me
Posted by HOBBS
Thats just my point Mario.Just going through the motions.Clock in,clock out,get paid. But hey,Im not the one having to bash my head against a brick wall everyday,so my 50c means shit.Just do the best job you can,and try and make a difference even if in a small way.Now Im officially depressed.lol A word from inside the organisation and it doesnt side promising.

lol Hobbs, how well i remember the birth of my daughter. I delivered her myself (well, the obstetr. allowed me to pop her out after he'd done the Caesarian, lol). The dude in the next theatre wasn't as fortunate. Somebody must have whacked him over the head as his wife was due to give birth, because i recall that they wheeled him out on a gurney
Mario, my sympathies buddy, i know what you mean... in the educ. dept the same thing happens. Unless you're prepared to hop from school to school the only way to gain promotion is to hang tight where you are. I've been in various acting positions since Moses was a snotkop, patiently waiting for a vacancy bulletin (it's 4 years overdue!) Wrt the arrest you mentioned, i have a very good friend here, one of the senior prosecutors at the local Magistrate's Courts. She's always had the policy of withdrawing such cases from the roll, where the offender is a first-timer, and the circumstances, once she's examined them, point to a crime that's been committed because of hunger, e.g. the loaf of bread scenario. Stealing a box of chocs from Shoprite doesn't constitute the same thing though, nor does nicking a new phone mean you'll get off with a dismissal. She really burst my bubble with that last one, dammit.
