one way is to store the games from the pc first into the 'others' folder and then transfer it to any device from that folder

Kllr - I guess u have to tell him the steps for how to transfer the java apps to Other folder and then how to make them working on other devices after transferring from that fone

I haven't tried that but I think @kllr_dude has a very logical suggestion. Copy the .jar file into the Others folder of you phone. That way it will not be treated as a game but just as a file. From there send it to another phone via BT/IR.

@efreet - U can use the SE file manager

or FMA

http://fma.sourceforge.net/index2.htm
to transfer files directly to others folder.
When sending via BT to another phone, the other phone will automatically recognise the file as a game file and store it in the games or apps folder as the user instructs it.
My bro's t610 had a problem connecting to the PC so i used this technique.

@Blackspot: I have tried what kllr had said and there is only one way to do it, remove the file extn (eg - .jar) and then beam it to ur k700, it will go to Other folder, now again rename/add extn to that beamed file on ur fone to .jar....and transfer it to other devices...it works everytime

oops i forgot to mention - transferring .jar files to 'other' folder is possible only thru SE file manager or K700 DateiManager and not FMA.

@vineet, you're right. I tried it and it can't be sent to another device if it's .jar even if it's in the Other folder. Good info, thanks!

umm... his message went as follows - "when i try to send the file as it is from Other folder to some other devices (without adding .jar extn) the other phone fails to recon. the file type. "
He meant without adding the .jar extension. With the extension it should work.

well open the 'others' folder first and drag the file into it.

Posted by blackspot
I already got the process. I'm not sure if @efreet does. Anyway to summarize:
Kllr_dude style:
1. establish BT connection with PC & phone.
2. using SE filemanager locate the "Other" folder
3. drag the game into this "Other" folder
4. after transferring, find this file under File Manager>Other
5. use Send>Via Bluetooth to send it to another phone
or Vineet style:
1. rename the file - remove the .jar extension
2. establish the BT connection between your phone and PC
3. right-click the renamed file > 'Send To' and select your mobile device (this sends it directly to "Other" folder)
4. in your phone, find this file under File Manager>Other
5. rename - add the .jar extension
6. use Send>Via Bluetooth to send it to another phone
Did I miss anything?
