How can they do that?!
It can't be HID (autosend command when there is an incoming call (?! wow!) )
It can't be Java (no JSR-82 for non-UIQ phones)
What is it, and how can we develop applications like that ?

This kind of programs are also for t610 on pc.
It uses scripts!

looks like it has got more functions than then built-in one.

Excellent! How could I program something like that?

Does anyone know if you need to have additional software on your pc to actually allow the remote program to work ?

I have bluetooth on my pc etc but haven't a clue how to get any of the programs to work with the software on the phone.

Can anyone shed any light ?

Cheers

The k700 and s700 have a limited bluetooth HID functionality built-in. Essentially, that means they can emulate a standard bluetooth mouse. Any operating system (and drivers) that can support a bluetooth mouse can, theoretically, accept a k700/s700 acting as a mouse. As a Mac user, I can't comment on how to get it working on a Wintel PC, but once you've paired the devices, on the phone (using a K700 as an example), you go to Connectivity -> Bluetooth -> Remote Control.

@sathomasga

I can get as far as trying to activate the win dvd, desktop .hid files etc, it finds my device but cannot connect. From the sounds of things my PC doesn't have the relvant drivers to support the applications I am trying to run. Will have a look around and then have a play.

Thanks

my k700 can control media player, desktop, works fine (xp)

you have to be using the generic microsoft bluetooth drivers , then you have to bring up the services menu for the phone on the computer and check the box next to HID. The media one only works for media player and only when its maximized.

Can K700i remote the PC without any software ? When i try to connect on remote control menu error message appear. the phone bluetooth connection for transferring data have no problem.

As i said you need to enable the HID service for your phone or it wont work , it's on the same menu where you enable virtual com ports and dial up networking

Note : you need sp2 for full bluetooth support , the 3rd party drivers are usually dodgy like the belkin ones.

You dont need SP2 for full support! I have used remote control via BT since summer between my pc and k700, works just fine on SP1.

I use remote with winamp, thats very nice. There are remote profiles for different applications, like winamp, to download to your phone!

Hmm the generic drivers never worked with mine on sp1 , only when i upgraded to sp2. And kewl i didnt know that , where do you download the remote profiles from ?

I dont think any additional sw is required because i have itunes and winamp player remote control files on my k700i and works fine

Actually, SP2 broke my BT and I had to reinstall. Belkin stuff may (as you say, I have no idea) be shoddy, but I've never had problems with MSI drivers.

I didn't load all of the software when loading my B/T adapter, I basically loaded the file transfer stuff only, (thinking I wouldn't need the other stuff) . Probably a very good chance why my remote isn't working.....I will rectify this when I get 5 mins....

I haven't had any problems with my 'Belkin Dongle' and can report that both it and it's software are performing great !

@lost_ickle_hippy

i thought i should download the XP SP2, coz i didn't find the control panel menu like the one u show in the picture, i try to explore my bluetooth service and it doesn't have 'driver for keyboard, mice, etc (HID)'. But the size of service pack so huge (280mb!!) feel tired to download it.

Posted by lost_ickle_hippy
Mmmm if your on 56k that can be a problem . I've had issues with installing the service pack over an existing installation , all of these were solved by getting hold of a cd image with sp2 intergrated and doing a fresh install.

I have 'finally' managed to get the hid files working on my pc, I just went into my bluetoth wizard and setup the files for human interface remote control (basically the wireless keyboard and mouse drivers)
iexplorer/realplayer/media player 10/desktop all worked pucka !

Joystick works as a mouse which is also cool (not that I plan to sit here using me mobile to surf the web)

@vam simohan_6

you can download pretty much everything from this link if you haven't already found what your looking for....
