ok game rules: you post something, anything, and people try to guess what the hell you're talking about!

i'll start:

down, down/foward, foward, any punch

Posted by plasmadog

Is it how you have to vote in Florida? And if you don't follow that exact sequence your vote isn't counted?

Posted by plasmadog
Hmmm, i still don't get the gist of the question. Is it some alien version of hopscotch?

Posted by kimcheeboi

why does no one know?!

i'll leave that one to be answered, and here's a new one:

compound essential to life and with an molar mass of 180.15588 grams

Posted by soichiro
this is getting nowhere......

soz kimch.. just me..

Posted by Jake Blues
dont really do science, but if its essential to life i would have to say playboy.

Posted by k4m!k4ze
ooh ooh i know the first one -

Its kimchee getting his ass kicked for being a perv . See the sequence goes like this -

First kimchee pushed to his knees (down)

Then he's kicked flat on his face (down)

next he's kicked (forward)

Again kicked (forward)

And finally punched in his balls (punch)

As to the second one - water ?

Posted by kimcheeboi

the first one is ryu/ken/akuma's fireball from street fighter

the second is glucose!

okie dokie here's another one:

1 1/2 oz white Cuban Rum
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
soda water
1/2 teaspoon sugar
fresh mint leaves

Posted by Vlammetje

Posted by Vlammetje
damn my rusty maths

something to do with a circle.... i'm going to go with length of the 'surround' (sorry don't know proper english word for omtrek) of the circle.

Posted by masseur
you're thinking of circumference but no... its the formula for the area of a circle

Posted by Lynx69
Guess this:-

4 eggs 2 English muffins
4 slices baked ham 3 Tb butter
Hollandaise sauce Parsley
Melt 1-2 Tb butter in a small frying pan and cook the ham slices until lightly browned. Toast the muffins and butter them while warm. Poach the eggs as described above. Place two muffins on each plate, add a slice of ham and a poached egg. Top with hollan daise and garnish with a sprig of parsley.

Posted by kimcheeboi
Nope! @scotsboy should know this one

Posted by methylated_spirit
Hadrian?

Posted by scotsboyuk
@kim

It could be Petilius Cerialis and the ninth legion as they were on their way to relieve the town of Camulodunum, which was besieged by the Iceni, under Boadicea. Of course it could be another Roman general, the Romans didn't win all the time in Britain, but this is one of their more famous defeats.

@all

Spartan king who fought vanguard action against the Persians. Bonus point for the battle too.

Posted by kimcheeboi
how could i not know this one?

King leonidas of sparta held off a persan army of thousands with 300 soliders at thermopylae and ended up saving the rest of the greek army.

@kim

Not Atlantis, Mu.

Isn't 'The Prince' addressed to Lorenzo de Medici?

@all

Petrarch's 'Canzoniere' is dedicated to ... ?

Posted by kimcheeboi
ahhh i've made an oopise!

It was Germany, not Britain (sorry it was off the top of my head)

The guy was named Quintilius Varus, and he took three legions into Germany (Teutonenberg Forest, to be specific) and completely ignored his flanks, which got his ass whupped by Armenius.

The emperor at that time was Caesar Agustus.

@scotsboy--read my last post!

Posted by scotsboyuk
@kim

Sorry I misunderstood, it is dedicated to Lorenzo.

Getting the place right would have helped!

What about Petrarch?

Posted by methylated_spirit
This thread should be renamed "dorks corner"

Ok heres one: What colour is Jules Winnfields wallet, and for a bonus point what does it say?

@soichiro

Very good old man, but let's see if you can get a more difficult one.

The name of the only man apart from Pippin the Short to have successfully overthrown a Merovingian king, who wasn't himself a Merovingian.
