Hi guys,

p910, hp ipaq 6145 or palm treo 650

I would buy maybe the dell X50 and the neo node, just to see what's the fuzz about. Maybe someone can advice me:

I want a pda, I need good agenda functions and use it as mp3 player, most of the pda's has this, but what is better PPC or palm os. and is the graffity (tm) area of a palm easy to use?

@yeopk - Since $ is not a factor get me a P910 as a christmas present too !

I have had both, or actually all.. Palm, P900 and Pocket PC (Ipaq 4150)
The Ipaq is the one I kept and use daily, so i guess that answers your question?
Theres nothing wrong with Palm or P900, it´s just that I like the Ipaq more. The Palm is a little.. primitive GUI-wise and the P900 is cumbersome as phone + i never learnt to appreciate jogdial.
All this is of course just my personal opinion, mind you!

If i had the money, i would probably buy the newest, baddest Ipaq and either Moto V3 or SE V800 and pay whatever it costs to get rid of ALL traces of Vodafone

well... I don't think I can do much better than my current equipment at this time

Motorola RAZR V3

Sony Ericsson P910

Sony Ericsson K700

and iPAQ hx4700

(I think its time for the P910 to go though)

hey guys.. has the 9500 been released yet?
or do u know the release dates?
thanks

Anyone of u using Tungsten T4 yet? How good is it compare to ipaq?

Masseur,
Moto v3 looks good. It cost around GBP400 here. How much does it cost u? What i know is that it doesn't have video mode. I would prefer k700 and give up on memory expansion.

If i were u, i am a lucky man! Why dont u get ur self a P910i with hbh headset and 1gb ms pro duo, tons of mp3 will be.

P910 is great but I prefer to separate the two. Moreover, i feel its to bulky. I would like a combination of a small mobile phone(about the size of t610) and a pda with b'tooth of not more than 180g.

Get a K700i and an iPAQ hx4700. I got the phone and soon will buy the PDA. Ive seen them working together through Bluetooth for browsing. Sheer bliss! :-)

@yeoPK. There isnt a Tungsten T4. The number 4 is unlucky in many parts of Asia. Palm skipped from the Palm III to the Palm V in the past. The new T5 has 416Mhz, 320x480 65k colour screen, Palm OS 5.4 operating system and has a massive 256MB of flash memory.

@massuer

WOW! thats some nice gear mate. Y so much though? One p900 could do pretyt much everthing!

you're quite right but I prefer the small phone/pda combination but I also like to keep up to date with latest info on the P series hence the P910. Actually I sold this P910 a day or two back and will not have it after this weekend so the current equipment will be a bit more sensible again (for a while )

Im with tariqwalh, k700i is such an amazing phone when its come with small size, great connectifity, hi-res screen, and the handy file manager. The price is something too, makes the phone more recommended to hand on. Pair it with newest hp ipaq version will be great.

I very much like the PalmOne Zire 72. It is about € 250 and I'll buy a 1gb SD card with it for video and mp3 and games! You can run even c64/nes/snes/gameboy emulators on it!

Well at the moment I have the SE Z1010, LGU8120, Fujitsu-Siemens LOOX 720-1GB CF Card and GPS SDIO card, now all I am waiting for is the V800 and for the 3G Networks to either unlock the walled garden or move to a new provider.

Well, I "hate" to admit I'm the same as Masseur here; I'm quite happy with what I've got.

The P910 does the job perfectly for me as a PDA and the S700, K700, T630, Z600 or the K500 does the phone bit witch ever one I fancy to bring with me at the time.

Hey youd best change your avatar then masseur, will you get a personalized k700 one?

Posted by theEND
If you want a phone AND a PDA, there's no reason why the phone should be a P900/P910/Communicator type smart phone. You'd be better off with a "dumb" but sexy phone.

I think masseur has the perfect combo, the V3 is the best "plain" phone (and has a price to match). I'm not so up to date with PDA scene anymore.

I like the Qtek 9090.
the iPaq 6315 will go for $ 599,-
and the iPaq hx4700 will be yours for $ 649,-

erm... i dont know im already getting the nokia 9500 err i guess a s700i or a p910

Im tied with Masseur and a few others here. I use a V£ for voice calls and a P900 for data/pda/pim/callender etc. It does the job perfectly. Dont really see the point of a pure PDa, as the P900 does that and doubles up as a back up phone!
