They're investigating the Bush administration over the Halliburton contract!

Wow Fantastic News!!....Just hope they find something solid enough to nail him.

@axxxr - Well CNN survey shows that the fight is neck-and-neck between the two! So, let's just wait and see . . . as they are on their last hurrah - homestretch!

Just checked another more objective poll site: kerry 58%, bush 25%. Expect 70+ voter turnout. Also the army has lost 300 pounds of high explosive in iraq.

The whole American political scene depresses me. Had either candidate put up the sort of performance they have anywhere in Europe they would have been laughed off the stage. And had the Haliburton contract happened in any African country the US would have denounced it as corrupt.

i think the us political sence is a good example to the rest of the world on how not to elect people.
as far as i can see the us is going to get whoever win an inept unknowledgeable fool.
neither seems to have any policies as far as i can see and the election seems to be fought with who has the most money for adverts and who did nt make a fool of themselves on tv. beyond that neither seem to have a clue.
i aint saying the uk system is perfect but neither one would be able to be elected over here as the british public despite getting my apathetic are not quite in the political coma the us seems to have been in for the last 10- 20 years.i know not all americans are like this as the ones who come on here prove but sadly the vast majority do appear to be.

On Radio 4 yesterday the reporter was asking some Americans their voting intentions; "Bush, because he loves the Lord". Now, I appreciate that faith is important to many people but I can't imagine ANYONE in the UK voting for Blair because he's Christian or Howard because he's Jewish. And someone was voting "Bush, because he's made the world a safer place". ALL the evidence suggests the opposite. What's the point of "democracy" if you're too stupid to use it?

@abs
Totally agree. If the American politicians come to this side of the Atlantic and commence the same speeches they conduct over on their side then they will be laughed off. I can't stand Blair just like I hate Bush, but at least Blair is articulate... I mean Bush even struggles to answer at all if asked a not so dull question by a member of the public.

I also accept that many people have genuine moral concerns around abortion and pro-lifers are rallying around Bush because he's anti-abortion. But isn't he the guy who started the illegal war of aggression against a defenceless nation causing the deaths of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND INNOCENT CIVILIANS? What sort of morality values an unborn child more than an innocent born child?

Well, let’s just hope that Bush is kicked out of the Whitehouse. I watched Question Time last night on BBC1 broadcasted from Miami and all the panellist seemed to think that there might be a repeat of 2000 elections when the whole fiasco of incorrect vote counting took place

It's worrying the way Bush goes on about "democracy" and they can't even manage to count the votes properly. And I read that 58,000 postal votes have vanished in to thin air in Florida. If it wasn't so serious it would be farcical.

Exactly....how is it democratic to win an election in a dodgy way like Bush did in 2000. I mean how is that different from a dictator coming into power? Bush, came into power the same way! In addition, it's just so annoying that the most powerful man on this planet is also the most dumbest one.

It's all so depressing...

NASA photo analyst: Bush wore a device during debate!
Physicist says imaging techniques prove the president's bulge was not caused by wrinkled clothing.
Oct. 29, 2004 | George W. Bush tried to laugh off the bulge. "I don't know what that is," he said on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, referring to the infamous protrusion beneath his jacket during the presidential debates. "I'm embarrassed to say it's a poorly tailored shirt."
Dr. Robert M. Nelson, however, was not laughing. He knew the president was not telling the truth. And Nelson is neither conspiracy theorist nor midnight blogger. He's a senior research scientist for NASA and for Caltech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and an international authority on image analysis. Currently he's engrossed in analyzing digital photos of Saturn's moon Titan, determining its shape, whether it contains craters or canyons.

I find the closeness of religious organisations to Bush and his party is quite frankly scary!
imho Christian fundamentalism is just as dangerous as Islamic fundamentalism. When these two meet I worry we'll get world war 3 or some kind of 'crusade'.
Bye bye world!

what do you think is inside the shirt???
i want bush to come back.. is kerry wins, he will stop outsourcing, that will cost us indians some jobs... if bush is back, he will create even more chaos....

Can I come live in the UK? Will someone give me a room (or at least a place on the floor) until I am able to find a job and a place of my own?
Please?

Just claim asylum!
You've got a good enough reason, living under the power of an evil & insane dictator!
