What do you all think of the Bluetooth support in the new Windows XP Service Pack 2? I've had trouble trying to send files from my phone to my machine. Whenever I try to send from the phone the bluetooth connection always fails. If anyone knows how to fix please please let me know. Thanks.

Ive succesfully sent to the phone but i cant send to the pc from my T610 so ive stopped using that and use the software and drivers that came with my dongle.

@lynx
thanks for affirming that i wasn't the only one having that problem. i guess i shouldn't have expected much better from microsoft on the initial release

I've got the same problem. Now tho when i try to use my original software it doesn't recognise the drivers?
Posted by Lynx69
And also i couldnt find the cpmputer when i did a search to add devices a few times...its just useless
Also i couldnt browse my T610 folders on my pc like i can with the software that came with my phone.
Its best not to use Microsoft bluetooth software
@Burgaz, have you deleted/uninstalled all the microsoft drivers and reinstalled the dongle drivers that came with it?

@burgaz
check this program, it allows you to switch between your original dongle software and the MS software.

Have you guys noticed that there is an option to "recive a file" in the inbuilt program.
The only downside I've found is that i can't browse the phone from the computer anymore...

the problem i had with recieve file was that i couldn't get it to recognize the phone

I have a similar problem. Half the software says it can't find the phone, yet the other half displays my phone correctly. I can use remote desktop and control my mouse with my phone, yet trying to send a picture to my pc brings up a 'no connection' message. This message appears even though I'm actually using a connection (via remote desktop) to bring up the 'no connection' message.
I've got XP with SP2

Actually, I've just tried the instructions on here:

Everything now works fine...

@pkk

Posted by sorac
i don't know.. just try it and you'll see.

mine works fine, both with XP SP2 drivers as well as manufacturer's drivers...

Took me some time to adapt but I prefer Microsoft, it's fast, simple and I don't need extra drivers / services running / software installed on the computer

Heh, i don't have any problem with K700i and Bluetake 007. I had it in Windows XP SP1 (Widcomm drivers don't works with phone) but now with SP2 i don't hav any troubles. Maybe one - when i pair K700i and PC, phone is all time trying to remote control desktop but sending and receiving files is maked great.
