yes, since the K700 R2L firmware you need to add a z into the ipaq init string

Great that worked, why would they change this, is it suppose to be an enhancement or something.

when I upgraded to R2L and it stopped working I spoke to SE techo's and they were as surprised as I was. I am sure it was not planned
btw in case you don't know what the Z does, the reason this works is that the Z in the init string follows the AT (attention) command issued to the K700 modem and that ATZ is a modem initialise command.
so my guess is that in R2L they changed something that caused the K700 modem not to initialise at the start of each dial out
I must remember to remove that Z and try again on the next firmware update!

Trully, I was thinking about it a bit - the problem is in Ipaq, 'cause there was no problem with Tungsten T3. Btw - masseur, do you have R2AA? Is this z adding still necessary? I didn't try it yet :-l

It must be an Ipaq problem, as I tested it with my Tablet pc with bluetooth, and that does not need the Z string to connect properly.
