Has ne1 found a way to store & view lengthy documents on the k700?
Posted by glorious
Well, the only way I found to have long documents stored on my phone, is by using the email client in the phone. I pasted a word document into the mail body, and sent it to my K700. A big document will be separated with several pages. It's quite great, actually. Of course, you have no editing possibilities, but you can carry along big documents on your phone, at least, in the form of an email. Haven't heard of any applications opening .doc files etc on the k700. Maybe someone else has?

it supports .txt files - you put as many txt files as you like inside the .jar file and send it to your phone

I'm on a mac though. I just read the guide to do it through the zip method. My first try failed, but i'll be trying more. Seems good. Had no idea java wap just zips. Might have fun with customised java games :-D

ThereŽs a way that doesnŽt require any java app
If you send a txt file to your k700 it will be stored in the Others folder.
Then if you add this file to an mms youŽll be able to read and edit the text...this was already discuessed here at esato

I thought the K700 was able to store files of any format once you stored them in the Other folder?

yes, but opening it for reading is another matter.
