Hi Guys! Ive just bought a T68i last week and since have been a passive listener to your tips and suggestions. Was able to use GPRS for WAP and modem for my IBM T21.
Now im forced to post coz im having problems connecting to WAP via GPRS since this morning. The last thing I did last night was to have my MMS activated by Globe.
Any help?
Also another query. Does the 'free' MMS by globe include MMS sent to other countries? Have some friends at Singapore with T68 also.

mabilis na nga ok na...pero sana pag magdownload naman ng large files sa wap eh ok na. sa ngayon di pa rin kaya ng globe ang large files.
share nyo MMS nyo pls.

help!
1.) i asked globe to activate mms and accdg to them, they did. hopefully, i also configured my mms setup correctly. some very nice guys from pinoy chitchat sent me a couple of mms. they all came as sms, so when i opened one, it goes: "please retrieve MM from http://203.177.10.146:8080/lss From +63917...@cmms.globe.com.ph" i highlighted the address then it asked me to "go to http:(same as above)", then it said loading... after a few secs it read: "the content received from the origin server was too large" i'm using pala ericsson's gateway. what could this mean? what could be wrong again? how do i go about it? am i supposed to receive mms that way? or di ba, parang sms lang dapat na once u open it, the mms displays?
2.) how do i set up my email account? can i use my personal email add (from ISP, say netgazer.com.ph) or dapat web mail like yahoo or hotmail?
maraming salamat po! libre ko kape makaka-solve ng problema ko.. promise!

looks like the whole MMS thing is starting with a confusing introductory scene. hopefuly this will be cleared up soon. and to those who were succesful... ang problema naman sa kanila is the unstable signal.

but, yes, it did not come out as a straight mms, sms lumabas. this morning naman, another good soul sent me an mms. this time around it came as straight mms pero di ko pa rin ma download. after loading, it said "gprs failed. Network or communication error, check settings then try again."

Berry im using globemms na and i never use tactel even before thats what im trying to tell the guys that before im using ericsson and thats sounds strange hehehe and if in any other way that the gateway has an effect on this, fyi lng i use ericsson :-) ewan ko ba bkit sa iba, diff settings gamit nila and still successful and sometimes not. Maybe the problem is with the service center, its fluctuating i guess. Hehe i hope it make sense ;-)

No, if it is a non-MMS capable handset (or what we call a legacy phone), they will only be alerted via SMS that they have an MMS message. Said MMS message may be viewed via the web.

17. How do subscribers view MMS messages via web?
The SMS notification will contain the address or URL that user needs to access with a system-generated user name and password. All you have to do is access this URL via web. (Quickwin software is required to access the URL. If the PC does not have this software, an option will be flashed on screen for installation)

Luwi i got ur MIB II tnx i useed globemms for all mms i sent and sucessfully downloded today but no sucess for multiple sending of more than 20 ;-)

I configured my MMS settings, sent to my email address, was able to receive it in my PC. Now to test if my phone can receive MMS.

i was able to setup up my mms...according to globe cs its already activated. i checked all the settings and i even send go t68i to 2951 for autoconfigure and it was successful. but when i try to send mms it says " network or communication error. pls check ur settings and try again "....pls help naman dyan

Wek try sending small item to urself first then large. If sucesful try mo naman to other globe subscriber in my case i cannot send to other sp and email :-(

Same problem here... it starts sending... progress bar fills up, then when it's done na, I get the same "Network problem, Communication Error.."
What other gateways are there?
