where can i find DATA MODE so i can set it to ORIENTED?

Posted by tweety
@gprs: great! I was able to configure ma fon... Thanks! But when can we start sending and how much per mms message? Tia

Posted by dlreyes
Is it suppose to be working already ? I tried sending an Mms but the parameters were not supported.

Posted by arnoldc
MMS needs provisioning, meaning, you must have subscription and MMS to be activated in your account, just like GPRS. having GPRS DOES NOT automatically mean you can use MMS.

Posted by ferrarista44
yey!
i've set up my MMS na. all i have to do is wait for the test-release.

Posted by weneklek
so if my mms is already activated....ok na ba ako mag send?

Posted by pry10
gud mawnin! wala pa bang mms config ang smart. kung meron na, post naman pls.

Posted by weneklek
just called helpdesk ng globe....free daw up to june 30 pero hindi pa nila alam kung how much yun charging..... tom pa ma activate mms ko

Posted by pendong1
i inquired sa globe customer service and they said that charge will be P2.00 per MMS sent; no charge for received MMS. But they said it's not pfficial yet as they still have to receive the memo/announcement from HO tomorrow (saturday)

Sonyericsson rocks!

Posted by arnoldc
that will be on top of your gprs dues, which means:

a) P2.00 - per MMS sent, plus

b) example, default birthday card MMS demo = 11K (1K additional if you add the name) @ 10 cents per kilobytes (according to globe) = P1.10

c) plus, initialization, handshake, etc. and other bytes transparent to you but are going to pay for, say 5K = .50 cents

so, a + b + c =

P2.00 + P1.10 + P0.50 = P3.60

@arnold: found it! :) tnx. di pala sya mura no. sana they don't charge muna and let those who have mms try first, like gprs.

Posted by dan47
damn! ang mahal.... ill apply to smart na lang if they start charging... you know anybody who can sabotage their sys para they cant implement fees? hehe

Posted by GPRS
@dan, hahahhaaa

Posted by Le Petit Prince
i called globe para iactivate ang mms ko pero sabi july 1 pa daw pwedeng maactivate ang MMS

Posted by dan47
hmmm... you guys are excited for the mms or the mms/gprs charges? well... im not... heavy gprs days are over?

Posted by tweety
I called globe too kanina i asked if its true that we can activate our MMS feature already like what the other guy here mentioned... My numbers didnt get activated kasi la pa naman order that they can activate na daw...altough there will be a demo abt MMS tomorrow at the hub...*hay* pa-iba iba pinagsasabi ng mga CS ng globe leche...:-l

Posted by esatouser
I dont know if i will be happy but i would assume that implementing MMS will speed up Globe from charging GPRS

Well i will really to Smart once they did that

Posted by jplacson
wag naman tayo ganoon! we own P20,000 phones tapos P3 biglang kuripot na ewan!

I doubt they'll start charging naman eh, so far only SE has MMS enabled phones... they need to wait til Nokia releases their MMS para they will get most of their subscribers to use MMS and GPRS...

Anyway, I had my MMS activated na, pero they said July 5 pa daw ma-a-activate.

Posted by ThreeOnTheTree
Hows this now?

When will this be functional?

Posted by jr_rca
july 7 pa daw MMS

Posted by pongi888
jr_rca, yup just talked to globe rep and confirmed that MMS activations will start tomorrow! cant wait!!

Posted by dlreyes
The tomorrow is already TODAY...you can now request to have your MMS activated. Activation would be within 24 hours. MMS is free until further notice.

Posted by jr_rca
mga kababayan send naman kayo ng MMS para ma try na natin kung ok.

here's my number 09175120427

thanks

Posted by GRIFTER
So umaandar na ba ang MMS nyo? How much exactly yung charge? 3.60php or 2.00php?

Pwede akong magpa-activate kahit sa 211 na no. diba? no need to go to any Globe center personally?

Posted by 619
like dlrys said.. no charges until further notice... im calling 211 right now... to activate..

Posted by dlreyes
I am able to send mms via GlobeMMS as I sent a message to myself but up to now the mms has not arrived yet after 15 mins

Posted by jr_rca
ayaw pa rin gumana ngayon pero napa activate ko na MMS ko...baka may problema sa config na ginaya ko.

Posted by dlreyes
I received the 3kb mms sent to myself in 5 mins while the 21kb mms has not arrived at all.

Posted by Pink Lady

yung wap profile na nasa WAP services will still be globe gprs, right? tapos yung sa MMS option lang ang papalitan from tactel to globe mms?

Posted by Pink Lady
@Beatrix ericsson gateway ko pero baka pwede naman GPRS.
I just replaced tactel with globeMMS

Posted by jems
Since we will be using Globe MMS na, puede na kayang 0917xxxxxxx instead of +63xxxxxxxxxx na lang ang phone number ng receiver?

Posted by berrybianka
@pink: nung nagsend and receive moyun sinend mo sa iyo ericsson ang gamin mo? ayaw sakin e. but nung receive ok naman sa ericsson

Posted by flaminglips
Q guys cnt send mms using globemms parameters not suported i usd the profile sa wap srve globe gprs help

Posted by luwi
~guys
As i've noticed, when you want to browse via GPRS, your profile should be via globe-gprs/ericsson gateway, then when you want to send and receive MMS, your profile should be via Globe-MMS. Hirap naman, papalit-palit pa tyo ng profile. Or else you will got an error message, GPRS not supported.

Posted by Pink Lady
@berry: ericsson gamit ko- ok magsend&maka reciv. I tried using gprs after posting my re 2 u, pero i sent my mms 2 my emel, ok din sya. @lips: bka naman kakatawag mo p lng sa 211 for mms activation? I waited pa 4 an hr b4 i tried sending e. Gud luck :-)

Posted by flaminglips
mga mms wanabe send nyo naman ako pls tnx n adv 09172469190

Posted by ferrarista44
hmph, MMS-enabled nga tayo, yun memory naman natin kakatiting.

Posted by dlreyes
Bumibilis na ang MMS ng Globe... I was able to send a 26KB file and was received within 2 minutes.

Posted by berrybianka
@dl: wat profile did u use? Til nw cant send bt was able to dwnload

Posted by arnoldc
luwi and to everybody else who is just as confused,

there is no need to manually change profiles because the MMS option allows you to set the required profile, e.g. Globe MMS. When browsing via WAP, you simply set your default profile to Ericsson. Please note that the "Connect using" option of the Globe MMS profile and Ericsson profile are both Globe GPRS data account. The settings will not cause problems with your MMS configuration and vice-versa.

For clarification (Globe users only):

1.Under Connect > data comm > data accounts... at least 2 accounts could be found 1. GlobeGPRS 2. GlobeMMS
Select GlobeGPRS

2. Under Messages > MMS > Options > WAP profile > Select... All your Wap profile will appear (Globe GPRS, Ericsson Gateway, Tactel, GlobeMMS) choose GlobeMMS if you've had it activated already

3. Under WAP Services > Select profile ... It is recommended that you choose the Ericsson Gateway for bigger downloads (if you have it). You can also choose GlobeGPRS but download size is limited

Is there a text string we can send to Globe to auto-configure our phones (in my case, my T68i) for MMS just like the auto-configure for GPRS?

I got this from another site...
******************************************
auto-configure your GPRS phone to Globe settings by sending GO <handset model> to 2951. You will then automatically receive the correct settings via sms.

Supported handset models are n8310, n6510, n6310, n8910, t39, t65, t68, r520, r600, eclipse and mystral.
*******************************************

@dlreyes, in #1 there is no need to select a data account. if the two accounts are there, that's it. there is no notion of "current data account" because the wap profile takes care of selecting the required data account (or manually if you set the profile to always ask).

Posted by luwi
@arnoldc - i've already change the connect using of globe mms to globe gprs acct, i still got the network error mssg. I still need to change the profile under wap services to globemms to be able to send and i guess to download the received mms. I dont think this should go like this-MANUAL CHANGING OF PROFILES?:-(

Posted by pongi888
I'm getting the network parameter errors as well, after calling up globe they told me that my request for activation is still 'in queue' hay.. antay uli... you guys can check since this is indicated in their helpdesk software whether you are still in queue or actually activated already.
swerte nung mga nakakasend na.. kakainggit.. =)
