I notice that the description of the Esato Forum says that it is the place for flame wars, is this correct? Are members allowed to conduct a flame war in the Esato Forum without it being locked?

Posted by masseur
it means discussion of.... Suggestions, flame wars, complains etc.

May i suggest a flame war then? You know who i mean, masseur

@masseur

You should be a politician, a nice answer that dodges the question. Are we just allowed to discuss a flame war that has happened or would a flame war be allowed in the Esato Forum?

Posted by masseur
I would suggest not discussing flame wars. I'd prefer to just remove them and PM the people involved... end of story.

No real use can come from discussing such negative aspects of a forum, lets focus on the good things

Ahhh, but in laffens description of esato....

@masseur is more of a 'policeman' here in the forum rather than just a plain . . . 'garbage collector' . . . !

:D i want one!

Surely if its relevant, if two members (or ex-members ) have real beef with each other...nothing sorts out a revolt better than a public humiliation.

A flame war! Ooh, let me see... Scotsboy has a wobbly bottom!

:D

@absinthebri

I have firm pert buttocks I will have you know.

Why has this been moved to garbage? I consider this to be a relevent Esato subject, it is in the Esato rules after all...

Posted by scotsboyuk
@methylated_spirit

I also consider it to be relevant, it isn't inciting anyone to flame anyone else.

Posted by masseur
I moved it because I assumed the bottom comments would continue.

In any case I don't consider a flame wars discussion relevant in the same way that this morning I didn't consider a discussion on esato spammers relevant.

in both cases the moderators deal with them and thats the end of it. nothing to discuss really.

@masseur

I see your point, I just felt that it was relevant since it was asking a question regarding one of the forums.

Posted by masseur
thats fair enough. actually its on my list to review all forum descriptions because I feel that a few don't actually reflect how the forums are being used and I am sure they have not been changed since Esato was started.

@masseur

Well I'm glad I was of service in pointing that particular description out.

i love a good flame war on a rainy night, especially on the bear rug in front of the fire.
