I find 'mobileburn' another good starting point for information. (some good links too)

Arima's U300 looks interesting, you got plenty of reading to do me thinks !!

try the motorola x220 ...there is a link of it on Esato's main page for more info...good luck
btw im trying to find a good smartphone myself ..... but i am taking linux os into consideration aswell as i am not a big an of windows...
so the phones i have narrowed down to are
nokia 6630, nokia 6260, motorola a780, motorola, x220, motorola MPx and nokia 9300.....ofcourse i already got he p910i!
Posted by DSF
Tony how is the n6260? Vineet i need subjective opinions... Thanx guys for the links, i'll try them when i connect to internet. I like mpx220 but it's expensive at 500eu. SendoX is on my list but i havent seen it on a gsm shop, how much cost this one now?
Posted by tonyitalian
@DSF
The nokia 6260 is a great clamshell smartphone with Symbian Series 60. The thing that is different about this phone from the rest is that it has a revolving high resolution display! On the other hand the 2 things i dont like about this phone is that number 1 it is a Nokia and i hate nokia's, i am a SE user! and number 2 it is not touchscreen, but i might just overlook these 2 things!
So far the Motorola A780 is winning the race for me because it is linux based and has touchscreen! But i am not sure about any 3rd part applications of this phone....as it is linux based. This was pointed out to me by another Esato.com member.
Keep us posted on what you're thinking or about any useful links you might find while doing your research!
Good luck!

I think it's hard to find a 3rd party software for linux mobiles because developers develope java, symbian and windows apps. Offcourse linux mobiles have support for java but those java apps are not that evolved like symbian/windows apps... Nokia 7610 it's a good deal? I've heard that a samsung model with 1.3mp camera is based on symbian s60. Is it true?What do you think about siemens sx1?
Posted by DSF
And the smartphone needs to have a ergonomic joystic or navigation keys. My joystick make pains to my finger(s)

@DSF
I would also recommend the Sendo X, all the reviews I have seen of it give it high praise and it has a good set of features. I would also recommend the P800, if you are on a budget this is a good option over the P910 as the P800 has almost all the same features, just toned down a little. The P900 might also be a vialble option, it has come down in price quite significantly lately, especially if you are looking to get it with a contract.
Posted by DSF
@scotsboyuk i like sendo x. I was thought to buy the p800 but many users said that the display is sensitive and can be broken by a fall..and the stylus is not that resistent. Apart of this and the memory stick limit this is a great smartphone by performance/price
Posted by scotsboyuk
@DSF
If you drop any mobile you are likely to damage it! The P800 stylus is plastic, but I can't say that I eve rbroke mine, although I did loose one or two. The P800 is a very good choice, but if you can afford to get a P900 then I would suggest you do so.
The Sendo X looks to be a very good device and I have to admit to being rather interested in it myself. I don't know anyone with one so I can't offer you any first hand experience of using it, but it certainly appears to offer a lot of features. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it is the only British smartphone on the market.

Yes it does look 'gadget' !
Like the sound of 30 frames per second video as well.....
Will be interesting to see how it compares pricewise with its rivals.

So no one did hold a sendox in hands to share us the first impresion...?
Posted by DSF
Did someone got siemens sx1? What do you think about this one? The speaker generates hi-quality audio? (since nokia 7650/3650/6600 plays audio files worse..). What's the prince for this phone?
Posted by DSF
Have you seen this review ?
http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/reviews/review2.php?id=105
Posted by DSF
I think i am going for 6600, it has symbian 7.0, mmc, but awfull audio (?). What do you think? Anyone who got this phone wanna share impresions/points of wiews? How much RAM does it have? Because i dont want to see 'memory low' (ram memory) message as i see it on 7650 when try to open some 'sophisticated' webpages...
Posted by plasmadog
dsf...
for the time being, i'd suggest u stay away from linux smartphones. they aren't as developed at the symbian/windows os ones.
but if u are a linux developer, u can make the software urself.. which is great!!
Posted by k700nut
Why dont you save and buy a p9..?imo,the 6600 is a cheap dull smartphone.like you stated;the audio is horrific and distorted,half off apps crash when opened,boring grid menu,cosmetically ugly,unresponsive joystick,regular crashes on wap,etc.the only way it outperforms the p9,is in the imaging department.however,only you can ultimately decide here!
Posted by DSF
@plasmadog i dont want a linux smartphone.. @k700nut the p900 is nice but i cant use it pub places with the stylus, just with flip on but not all apps runs in this mode. P900 display is very sensitive, and i drop often mobiles.. How about p900, 6600's ram memory? How much is it?
Posted by k700nut
The 6600 has 6mb phone memory,and is supplied with a 32mb rs mmc when bought brand new.
Posted by DSF
K700nut i was asking about RAM (temporary memory, for executing and working with current apps) memory and not flash (stacable) memory
Posted by k700nut
Not sure on that.only kept the phone for 2days, before returning it,and requestin a full refund.
Posted by DSF
7610 & 6670 are other nice Series 60 7.0 smartphones... all standard s60 features + 1mp camera
But the battery talk time is still worse, just 3 hours.
Same with the audio, is still like other nokias
"Also I would like to point out that polyphony still remains a weak point of phones made by Nokia, in this parameter the device loses greatly to Korean phones and models made by Siemens and Motorola. The only way out is to set mp3 melody as a call signal, all the other versions do not seem appropriate (the quality of the sound is acceptable, but not more, mp3 is better). Another weak point is that the device has mono output, this means that it is impossible to use it as mp3 player. Such files can be used only as call signals.

Is there someone who own QTek 8010? If so, please share your opinions.
Also, i found out that the QTek 8010's software is a bit different from Orange SPV c500. Expecially the welcome screen, which is better IMO.
