I need a new 'Full Tower' case that is (mostly) screwless with plenty of working space inside. Please recommend the ones you think are good.

Posted by Eamonn
sorry Fahed if I offended you by putting down 'computer cases that are god' meant to write 'good'...
Posted by Eamonn
Michael,
A normal P4 computer should work in a server case?
Posted by Fahed_2000
Ohhh i didn't even notice that, anyway the thing is that i like small pc's and isn't interested in a full tower, so in other words i don't know anything about them

Oh rite

Coolermaster make nice looking cases, some don't need any screws, do a search on google or something, I think www.coolermaster.com is good, yeah it is just checked

collermaster have nice cases, but they're really expensive!!
Posted by Fingers
Yeah but fark they're sexy!! Way too much actually I'm looking at them now.
Posted by Fingers
Actually if you look at coolermaster.co.uk there is a bit of a sale on at the moment £85 + VAT (99) for the basic ali case, there are links to where you can buy online.
Posted by Eamonn
that's for basic
Posted by Fingers
Come on.....you must be earning heaps out there!! Yeah they're a bit much eh!! Ask for one for Christmas
Posted by Eamonn
I meant that's too much for a basic case. Take a look at these:

Hey they're nice, and they come with PSU, not like the coolermaster cases, I like the first one you posted, the silver one.
Posted by Eamonn
yes that's my favourite one too...
Posted by Fingers
Is it for private use? Doing a bit of home networking. 67cm is tall eh!
Posted by Eamonn
yep just private use. I'm always inside the case so I need something with lots of working space you see...
Posted by Fingers
Yeah know what you mean, me too, I love it but it's a pain trying to work in tight spaces, but at least it's clean, not like working on planes.
Posted by Eamonn
My coputer is no-where near clean. All my fans bring in so much dust!
Posted by Fingers
Yeah it doesn't take long, I finished building mine about 3 months ago and was in there last night and theres quite a bit of dust in there already, don't even use it everyday, not like the laptop, hate to see how dirty this is.
Posted by Eamonn
I havn't tried using a fan filter yet. Do you think they're any good as they block out some of the air?
Posted by Fingers
No I didn't know you could get them, as long as you clean them regularly I think it shouldn't be too bad, otherwise yeah it will restrict airflow.

Is it true that if a bird flies into a pane's engine, the plane crashes?!!?
Posted by Fingers
Only if it's a really big bird and a really small plane. No, I've seen it quite a bit, it can make a real mess of the engine and really stinks, but you won't crash. All twin engine airplanes like 737, 767 etc must be able to fly on just one engine as part of their approval process, and we saw some good videos when I was training about Rolls Royce, they fire dead chickens in to them to test the damage they will do, a lot still run.

phew

it should be okay....
Posted by Fingers
Yeah no worries, I've seen planes that have had seagulls fly in to the cockpit windows too at high speed, they just shatter the outer pane, cockpit windows are about 2 inches thick and are six layers of glass and acrylic. They have to do lots of testing on everything before it's allowed on an aircraft, has to be strong and light. Lots of titanium
Posted by Eamonn
So why don't they make the plane out of the same material as they make the black box out of? Would increase the number of survivors when the plane crashes...
Posted by Fingers
The black box isn't that special, it's really just a beefed up aluminium box, it's the internal mounting of the recording equipment that's the special part, and now the newer solid state recording equipment is even more resilient. They are pretty strong. Oh yeah and if the whole plane was that strong it would be to heavy to fly

Oh rite....so is there a part of a passenger plane that is stronger than another part (yes I want to know where is the safest place to sit
Posted by Fingers
Not really, because it all depends on the kind of crash, some fly in tothe ground, so the back would've been the safest, and some have the tail fall off on take off so the front is the best, but if you're at 35 000 feet and something happens, you're all history really. Closest to the doors is the best, so you can get out quick. Over the wings is the smoothest. I just look out the window at Luton airport everyday and think how many flights come in and out without anything ever happening, and that really helps, like they say you're more likely to have a crash on the wat to the airport than on your flight.

scary...I thik I'll just stick to the back...the annoying thing bout the escape doors in BA is that they're at the beginning of the cabin near the baby section
Posted by Fingers
Nuthin worse than a screaming kid on a long haul flight, especially when you're trying to sleep, it hard enough anyway. The problem with the back is it's a bit bumbier and a bit noisier than the front, no big problem but it's noticeable.
Posted by Eamonn
would rather put up with bumps than children... What is worse than children crying is someone puking
I'll try to get seat # 39B or J when I travel this summer. More leg room I think???
Also take a look at http://www.airlinemeals.net

Nice picture go for row 1, not a lot of leg room on BA anyway, row 26 would be good, lots of legroom by the door there, but not a or k, the escape slide is in the way, and the armrests don't go up, bit of a pain. I've seen that airline meals, funny that someones taken the time to do that. www.airdisaster.com is nother good one. Gotta go now wifey needs to check her e-mail, see ya soon and take it easy.

Well then ur laptop is a luck bastard
Posted by Fingers
Yeah that's terrible, don't know how you cope, you don't always want a drink but when you do it would be nice to be able to have one. So what do you do?
Posted by Eamonn
I have to drive to the nearby city called Ajman to a place called 'hole in the wall' or I caould just go to a bar in Dubai, which is further away.
If ur caught with alcohol in your car, even in the boot, they f*cking arrest you
Also just thought to mention that if you get 10 speeding tickets, they give you a discount
Posted by Fingers
Sounds tough, must get a lot of people speeding out there then.
Posted by Eamonn
Lots...there's even a road here called 'The Road Of Death'!!
Posted by Fingers
That's a bit scary, in NZ they're really tough on speeding and drink driving, it's pretty good.
Posted by Eamonn
only if it were like NZ ver here
Posted by Fingers
Pedestians are still fair game in NZ. Probably the same there is it? Bet you miss the UK sometimes.
Posted by Eamonn
Yep...it's very risky when u feel like going 4 a walk, especially ehen crossing the road. Luckily I'll be in the UK in 12 days
Posted by Fingers
Cool, it's going to seem cold though
