Bad Traders?

@arvinsign - I'd steer clear if I was you, sounds a bit suspect to me. If in doubt - don't do it! Stick to people you can trust, or have some feedback in the 'trusted sellers' thread.

Still heard nothing from that muppet I sent that money to.

@arvinsign, first of all lets get thsi straight 2 diff users and you think they are both me. Happily list the name of the other user if you think its me..... cause i have no idea who your talking about as the supposed 2nd user.

And 2nd of all i also ask pictures of the phone as a common thing whether i have the phone or its a crap phone, because people who usaully trade high-end phones ask to see pictures of the phone. And someone will ask this question anyway. You'll see it asked by many people in the forums.

And 3rd you send as a gift because you would want to avoid custom charges in your country unless your happy in paying custom taxes then people wouldn't mind sending it to you marked as a product with the intended value of the item.

If you don't want to trade as i said no problems but don't try to make it a big fuss on the forums that i'm trying to ripp you, i even told you i would fax you my passport and phone you if you really don't trust me.

if you are the seller, just receive the complete payment first before shipping your item. Dont accept credit card payments. Higher possibility of fraud.

If you are the buyer, you need to ensure that the seller really has the unit. Ask for pictures of the item then instruct him/her to put his/her complete name, username and date when the pictures were shot on the background near the items/unit. If the seller cant produce anything, most likely it's a fraud.

I already sold > 10 units of highend phones abroad thru ebay but didnt encouter any problem. I only received payment thru remittance (western union or moneyGram) or bank transfer. No credit card payments. Once payment is received, i will immediately ship the item thru DHL 2-3 days delivery service then email the tracking number to the buyer. Transaction is complete after 3-5 days only.

well NU107 scammed me, now i'm trying to see if the phone hasn't reached him yet and if they could do a return to sender thing. Hopefully this will happen and the sucker doesn't get my phone.

dante robles,

those are his details, maybe someone can go over there.

I posed as another buyer offering pickup but he refused the transaction, i wonder why?

@ Milay.

i believe i can help you with your problem!

i have a contact with Globe telecom (his service provider) he is under a post paid plan. my contact can get his REAL address and other details about him, but its gonna cost you cos i give grease money to this contact of mine wheneever i want something "verified"

oh nice, well we'll see what happens.

The postal is doing all it can do to see if they can get thephones back to me as last time i check it, it still hadn't got to him. So we'll see if i lose my phones. I'll ask foryour assistance in getting his name and address.

thx for the suggestion.

To be safe, don't deal with anyone you don't know. Hell, surely you have a local contact that can get you whatever you want. That's how I deal... I bought my phone off a reseller that was highly trustable. He's made hundreds of sales so far and everyone vouchers for him.

Second, people on esato with less than 20-30 posts, hard to trust. God knows where they've come from and if they just created their accounts to make a scam. I wouldn't go near them at all if they're trying to sell a phone, especially high end ones.

Third, I have no idea who to believe here. It's one person's word against the other and there's no way to find out the truth. So be very careful, here, ebay, wherever you choose to deal because people are out to get your $$$$ or phone. If you're on ebay, use the safe trade option. Almost all auction sites have safe trade options so you're both covered. And to avoid any parties getting fleeced.

as i just said in another thread, if a person is very untrusting / paranoid why sell items on the internet to a complete stranger half way around the world?!
there are plenty of other options, local newspaper, second hand shop etc., face to face is always best.

exactly

cash on delivery practise that.

sometimes, greed makes it possible to be scammed ... think about it bros ... common sense also helps

some people are accusing others of scam, well in fact they themselves are the real scammers...some are using 2 or 3 identities.

lets be cautious. Lots of people in here are really takin advantage of others. Im so happy i didnt became a victim.Whew....
