@Ihe: XMAS FREE BROWSING? It's no offence to dream so keep dreaming. @AYA: I expected you to rest O! But as 1am this morning you were back: the day your madam go seize your P800 we all go be losers.

Posted by ihejirika
@brym,of cause glo has tested money & can now estimate how much they lost during free trials courtesy of exploits like urs.

Posted by OluYom
@brym! Madam knows how this p800 generates good money for the family. She cannot afford to sieze it ra-ra

Did someone mention free xmas browsing? I dont think so... except they allow that say exclusively on xmas day, or new yearz day, or... something like that. If you get my drift.

I am b a c k. Here is the story: After loading up, I had swapped in my MTN SIM to check some old SMS. When I put back the Glo, !voila! GPRS was back! Now we know one more trick: REMOVE SIM TOO! ...Up Glo!

D end of d road is approachg wher Enyimba "ll make those Tunisians pay 4 d sins they committed at their home town.Tht "ll mark d day of reckoning.

Posted by brym!
Eyimba had better make them pay otherwise we will make Eyimba pay for slacking. So far No shaking!!

@Ihe Nigerians and football!

Guys, some advice...

I have been VERY frustrated these past few weeks. I have done 3 things so far.
1) I have even resolved to CHECK OUT of Nigeria for "greener spaces". I have even done the US Visa lottery... for the first time ever. I am also aiming for canada as a "skilled worker".
2) I am also going for Microsoft Certification next year.
3) Finally, I am applying for a any good job I see in Guardian newspaper.

You see, Obasanjo and Co are stealing my very LIFE. "If I don't do something, something will do me!"

I have 11 years experience in computing and what do I have to show for it? Baba will look at my T610 and say I am prosperous!

My google search has brought some Canadian "immigration" lawyers/services. Do these things work?
Do you know anyone who has gone to the US/Canada recently as a skilled worker?

Posted by OluYom
@cool. Hmn, we are about to lose another promising Nigerian to Canada; ko? Those immigration service do work, but get in with the right ones. Therez IEIPS or something like that. I wish you success, & dont blame you one bit.

Recently, I got to thinkin about it. If not for the fast-growing organisatios I run, I'd check out too, pronto!

Posted by ihejirika
@coolapost, take it easy o! Either here or over ther I believe thngs "ll b alright. My advise is tht, since u have a job offer, dont b discouraged, its ok 2 cross over.Otherwise, like life itself, its a 50/50 risk.Sports is like a palliativ we use 2 cool nerves & postpone d worry about OBJ & them them wahala.

Posted by coolapostle
I am just fed up! I want a fresh start. I want to see my talents expressed. OBJ is choking me.

Posted by ihejirika
@coolapost,When u get over there, remember 2 always say a prayer of "God bless Nigeria" on daily bases so tht thos of us tht stayed behind will b able 2 build a home wher u can safely return to.

Posted by coolapostle
The right prayer is 'God SAVE Nigeria'. The rate at which potentials are being wasted and frustrated is criminal. But wait o! Why is ESATO making me re-enter my nick and password b4 EVERY post? It was not so b4. Very annoying.:-(

Posted by OluYom
@coola. Its unfortunate that the naija system seems programmed to waste as many resources (human or otherwise) as possible. Success often comes INSPITE of the system, & at great cost. Shame!

We are probably the only country not at war & yet without uninterrupted power supply, clean potable water & good roads.

Esato's been misbehaving a little jare. But at least it works. Try hosting a site like this on naija-based servers, & the site will spend more time down than active.

Posted by coolapostle
Since Glo started charging, I have stopped exploring WAP. I dont even visit other parts of ESATO! Something keeps telling me Glo will overbill me. What r ur verdicts on the 70 kobo? High? Low? Ok?

Posted by ihejirika
D power of life & death is in d tongue. What we Nigerians confess is exactly whatz happeng 2 us.I beleive OBJ & his colleagues or whoever comes after them cant perform d magic if we continue confessg against d magic itself.Mine is a lone voice in d wilderness. 70k isnt pocket friendly at all.

Posted by OluYom
@coola. 35k - 50k per kb would be more like it. Having said that, 70k per kb isnt really outrageous. I hardly go to cyber-cafes again (and I know how much I spent on cyber-cafes b4 now + fuel + wear & tear on d car).

@ihe. Agreed. But beyond confessions, the average naija is twisted. At various levels, each person is misbehaving. Therez got to be a general change of attitude. What are the chances of having a good leader where most of d people have bad attitudes?

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,ur views about leadershp & d system r right.Even if an angel comes down 2 rule Nigeria, ther "ll still b complaints here & ther.D determinatn 2 change this country must b shared 50:50 btwn leadership & followership. Pointg accusg fingers will cause more delay.D right way is acceptg responsibility thr" constructv criticism.

Posted by coolapostle
What is really discouraging is the bunch waiting to take over. Atiku, IBB or Marwa? Each hoping for 8 years! I cannot give them another decade! NO WAY. On the 70k issue, lets hope the spirit of reduction that brought down SMS to 7.50 will continue. They must have noticed the drop in traffic.

Posted by whizkidd
Hey Demmy! M8, i read your interview in some Nigerian site! Man You're famous!

Posted by OluYom
@coola. Since when, and on which network, did SMS come down to N7.50? Am I still in Nigeria or what?

Posted by brym!
On 70k/kb billing issue, no comment.

On Nigerian leadership? Lets keep praying for deliverance(collective and individual).

On N7.50 for text, I heard that in the office yesterday. I will call customer care to confirm.

This message was posted from a Nokia

Exactly how do you mean?

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,Some network offering sms at N7.5 only when d msg will come back 2 own network.

Posted by OluYom
@ihe. Well, its a good start. Which networks in particular?

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,I'm not aware of d (sms-N7.5)network. Coolapostle will tell better.Vmobile offers 12 free sms to all networks monthly. They also offer sms at N10 during off peak period.I thnk they d most customer friendly network.

Press *#06# on any phone 2 have its IMEI number displayed.

Posted by ihejirika
If u press *#06# on any suspicious nokia 2100 & d displayed IMEI or serial number corresponds to -352932007132440,call d police &get d bearer arrested.D phone belong 2 me.They stole it wth my MTN line in it.

Posted by ihejirika
I was at Alfa beach on Friday when I discovered it was missing. All efforts made 2 trace it proved abortive.Folks,I'm running a one man show 2day.

Posted by ihejirika
Thnk God it was d 2100.Assumg its any othr one of my phones,I'd rather declare my money missg (id est,d money I spent 2 buy d phone) instead of d phone.

Posted by OluYom
@ihe. Read thru your monologue & laughed till it hurt. Ok, so its not a one man show any longer. Sorry to hear about your phone. Funny, but I am posting this at Alpha beach. It hurts to even consider the possibility of my p800 being pinched. I will promptly shut down the whole beach & declare war!

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,ha ha!!! Be very carefull.Tht place is full of fun missed with so much confussion. If anythg funny happens 2 ur p800,this forum will collectively blow up & clear Alfa beach from d map of Nigeria.

Posted by OluYom
@ihe. I'm watching it like a hawk

Posted by brym!
@Ihe, sorry about ur phone O!. It's about time the networks assist us in tracking down stolen phones using the IMEI number. Or at best stop stolen phones from being used in their networks. Heard that this facility is available in European GSM networks.
@ Aya, make una try sustain this forum O. I will try chip in on daily basis.

Posted by ihejirika
I appreciate ur concern. This forum 'll live long.New members r welcome at any time. @Celebratn continues!! Enyimba broke their back & made history.D first club 2 win & retain d champion league cup.Long live Enyimba & to hell wth CAF & their North African referees.

Posted by ihejirika
Let someone ask d North Africans to tell us how sour d test of victory is.For years, they v been taking d cup home as if its their family property. This is a real power shift & its here 2 stay.Thnk God 4 rememberg his own country.

Posted by OluYom
@brym! I dont think that this thread depends on me for sustenance. But I am still her anyway.

@ihe. Wached the Eyimba match (1st time I am watching a match in a long while). Glad we won, but as sual, I feel detached. Sorry guys; AYA is no football fan

Posted by brym!
Great match and great win 4 Eyimba (Back 2 Back). Never expected them to go all the way with the poor start @ the grp stage. They improved with every match thereafter. Excellent finals : Eyimba dey sha.

Posted by ihejirika
I'm sure tht Dolphin is going 2 retain d cup 4 us.Thes people shld do away wth tht evil decree 101.Once again I say ENYIMBA ENYI,NZOGBU ENYIMBA ENYI!!

Posted by ihejirika
I imagine how it 'll b on d day this thread 'll clock 1000 posts.Ther 'll b a big celebratn sponsored by whizkid.Perhaps he 'll invite members of other threads 2 come & celebrate wth us.

Posted by OluYom
@ihe: From what I have seen around, someone will probably attempt to threadjack & make the 1000th post himself

Posted by brym!
It makes no difference who posts the 1000th post lets strive to hit that target b4 2005. Make glo richer.:-D@ Ihe, u really think Dolphin will make an impact in the continent next year?

Posted by OluYom
@brym! I really dont care about when we'll hit the 1000th or 20000th post. If therez something to yarn about, fine. If not, that 1000th post mark can wait till whenever.

Posted by ihejirika
@brym,YES!! Enyimba 'll try retain it d 3rd time but Dolphin will beat them just like they did in d local league.I learnt tht Enyimba sold one or two of their current players 2 Dolphin.

Posted by ihejirika
Aya is right.Let's try maintain high quality posts.I like 2 commend all membrs of this thread 4 d good work.I thnk ours is d most interestg. If u doubt it try visit other threads were they boast of 3000 plus posts.

Posted by OluYom
Guys. Just confirmed the N7.50/SMS. On Glo classic, glo2glo is N7.50; to other nets, N15. Not bad. Like I said, it is a good step in the tariff reduction process.

Posted by ihejirika
@Well done 2 glo,when I still have 32 free glo 2 glo sms to utilize.Some thg different 4rm glo 2 glo will b welcome 4 a change.

Posted by brym!
Good thing I got a glo line 4 my fiancee; our lovey dovey texting just got cheaper.:-) All thanks to vmobile: their initiative is forcing other networks to play ball.

Posted by Angelgirl
@ihe, 32glo2glo? hmm, Urs is like my dads who never txts, his is getting to 50 now, U will make better use of it if they can transform to call credit.!!!

Posted by ihejirika
@Angel,I do send txt at times.D hindrance I have wth glo txt is tht it cant b sent 2 other networks.
