@ Ihe, BAD BELLE. Thank God, you don't work in glo. Who stopped you from browsing more? As a matter fact glo should grant me discount to encourage me to break that record. What do you think?
Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,take it easy.d new babe is worth d pain.My glo internet workd effectivly on 3510i. @brym,infact if Adenuga will listen 2 my advice, excommunicatn is d only solutn 2 gprs problems & network congestns.

@ihe. I have no questions about my daughter's value. Its OUR values that I am questioning. Just to name a child, we have to throw a party. Just to say "Your name is Ihe", everyone is running up and down. The UNNECESSARY stress. The UNNECESSARY expenses. Thatz the way I feel about it. I know others may disagree, but left to me....
Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,I'm in total agreement. Its like u read my mind.
Posted by OluYom
@ihe. Its a relief that therez at least one person out there who sees my point. Nigerians, & Africans generally, throw away millions of naira every year on frivolities like this. Ask some of them to invest & they couldnt give a hoot. Its no wonder our countries remain backward in the things that REALLY matter.

@Aya good day i want 2 use dis posting to tells u that i will not be fiscaly present tomorrow but spritualy present saying amen to every prayers trowing at d child' & i wish d baby rapid growing.
Posted by OluYom
@momo. Thanks. I understand. Its part of what I'm "griping" about. People are often pressured to stretch themselves to attend occassions like these, most times are also xpected to "perform", & often feel guilty when not able to. We burn time, money, energy & so much more on these our ceremonies.
If it were possible, I'd be somewhere sleeping all through d ceremony myself. My body's worn out! But... thatz wishful thinking
Posted by brym!
@AYA: E don reach time to do naming ceremony you don change to philosopher.
True talk we spend too much on celebrations. When mine does come I will name him/her right from the hospital; why should a baby be nameless for 7 days. Some tradition indeed!!! Anyway, AYA you now know what to do when the next baby comes!!!

@brym. I tire o! We've been calling her "Baby" since. At times, I just laugh. My bros, I talked too during my wedding o. We went 2 d registry (1st wedding), did traditional (2nd wedding), did church (3rd wedding). Just imagine. I wedded d same gal thrice (without breaking up once!). Naija 4 show.
Hey! Did I hear you say "next baby"? No way. My wife & I have closed d baby making chapter of our long life together. PS: We paid 35k for delivery; & my son's school just increased tuition fee to 40k per term! Why would I want to multiply those expenses? Thanks, but no thanks. :|

@ AYA: Take away all the over-marriage( 3 stages for you) and there will be no need for the new fad: SINGLES SEMINAR. Na all these expenses dey scare bobos.

"Who is whizkid?"I thnk its time someone introduce him 2 us.
Posted by OluYom
@ihe. Whizkid is an Esatonian from Palghar, India, & has over 500 posts in Esato. Guess he was just soliciting with us on this thread.
@All: Anybody done anything interesting with their mobile phone & line lately?
Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,it seems u r familiar wth Esatonians.Tell whizkid we expect his visits more frequently than once in a century.

@Angel: Pls dont die of lafta o! Infact, dont die of anything. A burial ceremony will cause greater commotion than a naming ceremony; and believe me, if I hear that word "ceremony" mentioned one more time, I will scream
Posted by brym!
@ AYA, so how did the naming ceremony go now? Come to think of it, that was the perfect forum to express your opinion on excessive expenses on celebrations, did you give them a feel? OR your mama dey there?
Sent a text to your madam, hope she received it? I also sent you a picture message. Since I have not received a delivery report on my phone I assume that the message is still in Marina Post Office no thanks to glo with their slow delivery.
Posted by OluYom
@brym! Yes, my wife got your sms, thanks! The naming went fine, & I am bushed! I no talk o; my mama dey there. Ihejirika was there. I suspect someone else was there but we didnt get to talk. But cant confirm until everyone speaks up here
My body is crying...

Posted by OluYom
@ihe. It skipped my mind to introduce you to my wife... U know how it is: ur mind is racing, u greet people, but u are not thinking as straight as u should. At least u saw her sha. She's next 2 God in my heart. Thanks 4 coming, man. Good 2 meet an Esatonian in d flesh.
Tilly also called 2nite (over 5 minutes); having problems with her glo line. She says to tell u all dat d 1st lady is coming back with a bang!
Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,dont worry about that.I understood.I cldnt have demanded tht 4rm u at tht moment. On any other,I wld have gone straight 2 ur wife an report u.Despite ur lapses,we were well catered 4.D other Esatonians missed a lot.
Posted by OluYom
@ihe. What does "Agadaga nwa" mean? Please enlighten us.
Posted by ihejirika
@Aya, "agadaga" is Igbo word meang;d best of its kind. "Nwa"is also an Igbo word meaning;child.
Posted by brym!
Am I missing something here? Aya are you asking Ihe the meaning of your child's name?
Posted by OluYom
@ihe. Aah-hah! I'm blushing black, red, pink...
@brym! No, I'm not. That would be pathetic. Check d posts again.

@Aya,I tried tht number u used 2 send txt msg 2 me all afternoon wthout gettg thr".I got "number busy"
Posted by OluYom
@ihe. Yes, lots of people did too. Most SE phones have a call screening feature. All thru the day, it was set to allow only certain calls thru for the sake of my sanity. If you try it now, you should be able to get thru, as I have since removed all restrictions.
Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,its ok.I'm satisfied tht at last, evidenc of being free 4rm ceremonies has manifested.
Posted by Angelgirl
@ brym! , yeah i called AYA and exchanged txts when the network was messing up.
@ihe , i jealous u o! pls, i only just want to know one thing, is AYA's phone attached to his hand?, u know he is an endless poster, thanks for represnting us anyway!

Posted by 2tek
@all,v being outta circulation and i can see that aya's ceremony has bn d talk of d forum. Na so eedris disgrace 9ja o,that was a weak one from him. I've bn able to use my gprs for yahoo, msn, aim messenger services. Thats the latest thing i can do.
Chelsea is floggin arsenal come sunday!
Posted by ihejirika
@Angel,this is 2 conferm tht at long last I saw d almighty p800 although Aya didnt have enough time 2 allow me 2 feel it.It was glued 2 his hand. @2tek,its like u got tht thng about Chelsea & Arsenal 4 my mind.It going 2 b real red hot.
Posted by Angelgirl
@ AYA, i will wait for a confirmation from ihe! He is owing us a full report.
@2tek, Na so o, my brother Idris don prove say Nigeria Jaga Jaga true true, i shame.
Posted by ihejirika
@Angel,check post 734 for p800 report.Aya used d best adhesive in town.
Posted by OluYom
@2tek. What gprs settings did you use for the messengers? Same WAP settings? If different, PM me or post it here. Thanks.
Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,I admire ur number of posts & how it goes up on daily bases.I dont know what vicious wolf eats up mine every night.
Posted by Angelgirl
@Ihe, your ranks dont go up bcos you only post here, read this:
'The Esato Forums have established methods to classify their users by activity through the number of posts to some but not all of the forums. Post to Garbage forum and Mobile free zone does not count in this matter'.- Esato FAQ
So try and visit folks in the other Forums, minus the above listed, just pay a visit and say hi, at the end of the day when posts are sorted, your post will remain.
Posted by brym!
@Ihe:Try contributing to threads on other forums as well, it will pick up. At the rate when AYA go dem go soon make am moderator for Esato and customer #1 for glo.
@AYA:Have you received the picture message yet or e still dey for road? Glo should really get their acts together. I was at their Adeola Odeku Office this morning, it was commotion all the way:apparently payments by postpaid users is taking too many days to reflect on their account and their lines are unfairly blocked. I went there to unblock my Oga's line and configure his moto V3 for gprs;I had to leave because of the commotion. Other networks value their postpaid customers and treat them accordingly, NOT Glo. Big shame!
Posted by ihejirika
Thnks Angel & brym,I appreciate. If its possible 2 get back 2 Esato & their FAQ,I'll let them know tht I wldnt have been on Esato if I didnt meet any Nigerian on day 1.However, they have 2 keep their count until d day glo will grant us anothr round of free browsg,ie,if tht will ever happen again.
Posted by Angelgirl
@ihe, i visit other forums once in a while, there i ask questions a lot with pple who had up to 500 posts n above, most of them are xperienced SE users like brym! and AYA, i also complained about my fluctuating posts, and i would appreciate it if esato didnt assign any post to me than to do and later cut it, they supported me!
Posted by OluYom
All your posts reflect immediately, but sometime around midnight (I guess), the ones that dont count are deleted.
@brym! Imagine, All I got was a text notification that I had an mms with a link to the online album and a password! Yet, I have MMS activated on my line and all the settings in place. What's up with Glo?
About those settings you used for yahoo messenger & co... That's one of the reasons i am sceptical of contract packages. The stress you go through, even on other networks. I saw hell on earth with MTN BusinessTime. Nope; no contract packages for me ever again!

Have I been away that long or ARE you Guys running too fast??? I just spent loads of precious cybercafe time catching up!
Now that I am updated, I would like to say that Idrees showed a lot of inferiority complex.
I actually worried for that concert from day#1. I read how ladies were r---d when Wyclef came (actually when Femi performed.) I was expecting the worst! Idrees, like femi, won't be invited for a while!
My GPRS is still down and I am still not int the mood. I think Glo pulled a switch in my sub settings. They took 390 buck and locked me out! ;(
Posted by OluYom
@coolapostle. Eh yah! Is there anyone else in Abuja you know who uses gprs so you can verify whether its a general problem or its limited to your line?
Posted by ihejirika
After various experiments,I have established tht my gprs problem hypothesis is not practicable. @coolapostle,in additn 2 Aya's suggestn, try pester customr care each time u notice gprs problm.Tht way they correct their wicked ways,or at least give an explanatn.
Posted by OluYom
Yes, ihe's suggestion is a good one. Whenever gprs goes down here (which has been quite rare now for some time), & I am able to get thru to 121, it is restored in minutes.
Of course, I guess that having a gadget like the p800 helps. Therez an app (Sman) on mine that identifies the unique id of the cell site servicing the phone at any particular location, so when I call, I give them my cell id & they know exactly where to look without a fuss.
Anyone green with admiration?
Posted by ihejirika
I like 2 point out tht nokia series r also naturally endowed wth cell information display.id est;2 d green ones.
Posted by OluYom
@ihe. Are you referring to the cell info on display in standby mode; the one that reads something like "Maryland, Ikeja"? Most phones have that and it does help. However, SMan on the P800 (and other UIQ devices) tells you the Cell Id (a unique number attached to only one particular base station on your network). Giving that ID means the engineers can nail problems faster and more precisely, in addition to other things.

Aya,d existenc of d cel id number display is commendable. Hope d pix is issued wthout copyright restrictns in case of a download. If glo offer Xmas free browsg,I'll surely beat brym's mb record & lunch my line in2 excommunicatn zone.
