I know MBA holders who cannot manage a department, talk less of an entire business. Knowledge is useless if it cannot be applied to produce positive results. Most Nigerians are brainy. We acquire degrees & knowledge. The mental potentials are there, but they must be diligently & aptly applied to our everyday living. Keywords: diligently; aptly.

Now that I am available, everyone is AWOL  Waz up?!

Posted by coolapostle
@AYA I dey o! On the issue of "intellectual laziness", can U give us an example of a country/nation that are "intellectually fit/strong"? Are U saying that just because we in naija cannot produce stuff, then all our brainpower is useless? What about NEPA, communications, rent, insecurity? Can an intellectually fit person perform in such a condition? Can people like Emegwali perform their wonders in Ikeja Computer village with all that stress??? I think our environment slows us down.

Posted by OluYom
Our environment? That's laughable. Who created the environment? The people create the environment. Note: Not all Nigerians are lazy upstairs; we have a significant number that stand out. But for our nation, our society, our environment to glow, that significant number must increase & become the majority. For now, we celebrate mediocrity daily as a nation.

@I'm just back frm a long travel. As usual I cant help but commend d Nigerian police 4 diligently & aptly providg a red alert coverage of d roads I travelled, under rain & shine, nyt & day.

Posted by OluYom
In recent times, I have been priviledged to meet a number of decent & diligent police officers, & I must say I am impressed too. Hope this new spirit grows on the entire force.

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,It 'll stay if we sustain this nascent democracy.I take it tht u cant provide d most wanted Nigerian of intellectual laziness.I'll hand him over 2 u if u make this dual headed deal wth me.If u agree, then I'll state my terms.

Posted by OluYom
I do not have the resources to track down & identify this king of mental laziness. Try the Police :-D

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,u statd tht they,"too many Nigerians" r in d majority,so I feel tht u can easily lay ur hands on one.Already,I'v providd 3 out of my list of 100 & u r yet 2 give one.D 3 I providd exist in practis & not in theory.Do I state my terms?

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,in simplified grammar, provide one out of d "too many Nigerians who r too much lazy".They shld b ppl wth verifiable addresss who exist in reality. If u cant do this, then indicate so in simple language so tht we can move forward.

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,u r wasting our precious time.If you cant provide one of them, admit so quickly.I also have many of the"intellectually lazy Nigerians" to give u.I think tht I have exercised enough patience.

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,stand in a second flour balcony in any street of ur choice in Lagos, look down on d street b4 u,d ppl u see walkg up & down d street r Nigerians.Select one of them thtz too lazy, find his address & tell us about him.

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,while u r still searchg 4 this Nigerian who u claim exist everywhere, you cant believe this; ......my MTN line is finally up 4 disposal.

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,since it appears time consuming to find a lazy Nigerian,u can get us one tht is too much lazy 2 do d logical thing when it stares him in d face.Give us examples of d illogical things he did.

Posted by Tilly
IHE & AYA-una well done, thank GOD i'm educated if nt i'd probably have commited suicide after all dat grammar and "intellectual" arguemt btw u two,wen eventualy d ESATO meet holds we shld put u guys on a stand and watch u do ur ting LIVE & DIRECT@brym-reaching u is a nitemare @AngelGirl-getting thru 2 MTN 4m hia is Hell @cOOLA-THANKS 4 D E-MAG,WE'D TALK LATER @ALL-TAKE CARE OF URSELVES UNTIL I POP IN AGAIN,IT'S D 1st Lady signing out

Posted by ihejirika
@Tilly,nice 2 hear frm u again. It felt like d morning sun rising frm a distant corner of this planet at dawn.

Posted by ihejirika
@Folks,do u see what I see?Can u feel what I feel? This is d 3rd midday in a row,Great Aya is yet 2 fish out one d Nigerians he sees everywhere. Is there anyone who arrived at any conclusion??

Posted by ihejirika
I plotted all day 2 provoke Aya into saying something but got d unexpected response.Anyway, sufficient unto d day is d trouble thereof.Goodnyt!

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,d othr day u went on a "picnic" 2 Abeokuta.Its allowd,bcos u went wth an African queen.2day,I'm certain tht u r not on any picnic.Rather,u r standg on a 2nd floor balcony,somewher, lookg 4 one Nigerian.@Aya,u'll never find him there.

Posted by ihejirika
In tht street,d ppl u see r apt/diligent lawyers,carpentrs,bricklayrs,lady nurses,chemists,truckpushrs,taylors,traders,phone repairers,okada riders,water hawkers,vendors,grocers,cybercafe operator,taxi driver,bread bakers,hair dresers etc

Posted by ihejirika
In d same street,u find minute minority/apt/diligent beggers, pickpockets, drug pushers, even daredevil armed gangs(d police r diligently after them),commercial sex workers etc.Thes ones were pushd into it by lack of "hope"-wch still exists.

Posted by ihejirika
Also in existenc r too lazy/intellectually lazy/not usg their heads/unproductiv/intellectually stupid men.At my last reckong,I didnt find them in every street.@Aya,I dont know about ur last reckong but u r free 2 quote me right or wrong.

Posted by ihejirika
Thes groups of personalities exist everywher on ths planet but very few of d unproductiv lazy ones carry Nigerian passports@Aya,I can bet my intellect(if u believe I still hav one 2 spare) on it.Nigerians succeed in everythg(good or bad).

Posted by ihejirika
Against d normal practis, hardworkg Nigerian suffer & still smiles. He might not b succesful in NBA but highly succesful 419er.As a carpnter,he unfortunately receives less remuneratn than his not anymore productiv counterpart in Las Vegas.

Posted by OluYom
@ihe: If it isnt clear that being hardworking is different from being intellectually diligent, then this discussion is useless. Let's drop it

Posted by ihejirika
Despite hs meagre reward,he carries d burdn of hs family wch d Las Vegas man wld normaly leav 4 hs concernd govt.He stil smiles in spite of constnt threat frm d landlord at hs carpntry shade. He sees 2day as d 1st day of d rest of his life

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,I was feelg lonly all along.Never knew u wer ther.Thot u r stil at d 2nd floor balcony.Anyway,welcome aboard,I'm combining intelectual diligenc & hardwork.Both work 2gethr in most cases.U r free 2 separate them.D BEST 2 FLYNG EAGLES.

Posted by ihejirika
2day is environmental sanitation in Lagos,I'm glad 2 spare some time 2 exercise my current favorite hobby.Esato displayd one of their unusual wolfs anti-ppl decree.U cant reply ur own post after few minutes. ..........Injustice, isn't it?

Posted by ihejirika
@Aya,I wont accept or have u chicken out 2 d balcony again.Come back & lets iron out this issue.MY POINT is this;U can say anythg about me,I'll bear it but never say d same thing about a group of ppl OR Are u now ready 2 apologise?

Posted by ihejirika
@Folks,Aya is an inteligntly wise Nigerian. He knows whatz right. We'v been on a ride in wch he is in d drivrs seat & I'm in a front seat.I n"d a favor frm u guys so as 2 beat d latest esato wolf decree in form of reply posts btwn my posts.

Posted by ihejirika
My posts coms in bits & pieces.I want them fastr than esato decree prescribd.I need someone 2 send posts btwn mine so tht I can reply quick.I'm about 2 give u a life story.I need someone 2 bridge d gap.Aya,will u do it 4 me?Tell me 2 stop

Posted by ihejirika
As I stated, ths is a true life story & it happened in one of d numerous streets of Lagos(Nigeria's centre of excellence). In one of d remotest suburbs tht can b rightly mistaken 4 Nazareth of bible days"no good thing comes frm Nazareth".

Posted by ihejirika
My illustrious but still poor carpenter, one cold nyt,in an effort 2 cool his frail nerves went in wth his wife-a pearl of African beauty & in 9 months,d result was shockng. They had 2 more baby boys on their hands. It was a real disaster.

Posted by ihejirika
D crisis tht resultd frm ths was unbearable. Each member of his extended family blamed him 4 irresponsibility.D 9 months of pregnancy was d worst he ever had.He almost died of high BP.As God will have it,he lived 2 see d D day.

Posted by ihejirika
On D day, unknown 2 Mr Carpenter,he went 2 his campentry shade. He was ther when a man in blue/black suit walkd in2 his shade. He shook wth fear bcos ppl of this stature never paid visit 2 his shade. Nevertheless, ths was a friendly visit....

Posted by ihejirika
Mr Blue/black was establishg a law firm at Victoria Island.Ther r carpenters at VI but he wantd cheap labour,so he searchd Nazareth 4 a dilignt/apt carpenter. His search endd at Mr Carpenter's shade.Mr Carpenter had his 1st contract ever.

Posted by ihejirika
Mr Carpenter rushd home 2 break d good news 2 his pregnant wife but met wth a very sad news.Somethng tht also never happend b4.His wife is at d hospital, she deliverd d 1st baby successfully but had a lot of difficulty pushg out d 2nd one.

Posted by ihejirika
Ths conditn lastd for 2 days.It was a stalemate. On d 2nd day,d dilignt doctor/midwife performd a caesarean section on Mrs Carpentr.Thank God,it was succesful. But Mr Carpnter was stil sad,d operation wallopd more thn half his contract pay

Posted by ihejirika
Thes twin babies r twins but had 2 differnt birthdays.Accordg 2 acceptabl norms, their naming ceremony shld hold on 2 differnt 8th day frm birthday.Aftr considerg d issue, their Dad decided 2 hav only one ceremony 4 both on d 1st 8th day..

Posted by ihejirika
Although Mr Carpenter has 2 older children, ths was d 1st ever namg ceremony he cld afford. He decidd on d 1st baby's 8th day bcos his birthday brought him luck.He didnt pray 4 a 2nd baby aftr all,but he cant reject d 2nd baby.So it happnd.

Posted by ihejirika
So d 2nd twin never had a namg ceremony of his own.He had 2 accept a name undr d cover of his brother's namng ceremony. His brother was named Lucky wth every head noddng at d suitability of d name.Wth much hesitatn,d 2nd was calld Polycap.

Posted by ihejirika
Life returnd 2 wht it used 2 be 4 d Carpentr family.Mr Carpenter spent d remainder of his pay on d ceremony. He was compensatd 4 it anyway,d twin boys were so fine & bouncy tht they became d toast of entire Nazareth. Everyone admired them.

Posted by ihejirika
Indeed,Lucky & Polycap were bouncy in everythng.Against all predictns, their Mum was never disturbed wth so much crying 4 breast milk.D twin babies waited patiently 4 whenever Mum was ready 4 them. They grew faster than their age mates...

Posted by ihejirika
In d past,Mr Carpentr swore tht none of hs childrn "ll b uneducatd. He all but achievd it,wer it not 4 thes unexpectd fruit calld twins. He grappld wth their school fees, stil keepg hope alive. It was one of d worst momnts d family ever knew.

Posted by brym!
@Ihe, "Present Sir",
I only dropped in to say "Haba, Take am easy with these ur monologues...Now that Aya has thrown in the towel we can have our normal chit chat( intellectual laziness?).
And what better way to start our chit chat than to praise Siasia and his lads for taking us BACK to the centre stage of African youth football. Wish them the best @ the Fifa's WYC in Holland

Posted by ihejirika
Sevral times,d family wnt wth food formula "0-0-1"so tht enough money cld b saved 2 pay school fees.Lucky & Polycap never knw wht it means 2 go 2 school in public trnsport. They walkd 3km daily to Nazareth Gheto Primary School(NGPS)..Whao!

Posted by ihejirika
@brym,dont make it ages b4 u appear again.U can see d battle tht resulted from ur last absence.I'm not yet sure its over until its over.Perhaps when they stop firing bullets at my directn.I doff my hat 4 Samson & his diligent boys.

Posted by ihejirika
@brym,thanks 4 tht brief interruptn.Ur comments r welcome at any point.Just raise up ur hand & u "ll have d floor.Back 2 my "life" story in a non couple of esato minutes.

Posted by ihejirika
...It wasnt all sad 4 Carpenter family bcos thes twin boys never disappointd them. They came home wth d best results ever produced frm NGPS beatg their class wth huge gaps.Ths was a sort of consolation 2 d family.Their effort was payg off.

Posted by ihejirika
It took wht lookd like ages but finally they arrivd their 6th form-d final year,d year of common entrance exam.Wht a relief! But ther was a little problem, business was going bad 4 Mr Carpenter. He borrowd part of exam fee frm a brick layer.
