@kaletoks: Welcome! :) These error messages are when browsing wap to access your mails, right? Which wapsite do you access this mail from: yahoo or a 3rd party POP service (if 3rd party, give the url)?

@remiavan: Its actually a VISA debit card. You load an amount & you cant spend beyond that. Minimum amount from the service provider we use is $25. That, plus service providers fees cost N6,250. Will PM you their contact details if you are interested.

@mamba: Not necessarily. From that "90% profit", they cover business overheads i.e. staff salaries, power generation, internet access, stationeries et al. Real profit may be as low as 5-20%. Yes, the fees are high, but the environment doesnt help matters either.

@ AYA, I REFUSE to show up. The nightshift shuts down 4 maintenance on Mondays except when gold card holders like Ihe and dip gate crash. So over to you Early Birds.

my p800 keeps dropping outgoing calls btw 5 & 25 secs on glo network, could this be a faulty handset or network prob? I've tried other handsets as suggested by customer care and they seem not to have this problem. anyone experienced this?

@mamba: Mail2wap allows you to check your mail if you use a POP3 email (works with Outlook/Outlook Express on your PC). Yahoo & hotmail free accounts are not POP3, but there are some free POP3 mail providers e.g. swissinfo.org. I use a service similar to mail2wap on my p800. About the droppe calls, if its not happening on other phones (with your SIM), problem MAY be your phone.

For example, you cannot use your Yahoo or Hotmail account with your P800/P900 or any other phone's built-in email client because those built-in clients are POP3/IMAP based.

@aya, Incoming calls are ok, but 70% of outgoing calls keep dropping during the daytime, there's no call drop at midnights. With Mtn sim, there's no call drop, what's the prob?

@mamba: It may not be a handset problem but a network issue. I notice that Glo signal in the cells around mine is quite flaky these days. 0-5 & back. Nothing to worry IMHO. @Demmy: Hate to think that the success of anything revolves round me. I say let the meet hold, even if some of us cant make it.

once the site opens, you click internet and then add to bookmarks.
you have to name the bookmark with a simple name that you can remember which relates with the site to be bookmarked.
Bookmarking helps you to go to certain pages you want directly.
Next time you want to visit the site you've bookmarked, you click internet, bookmaarks and then select the given name of the site you've bookmarked.

@remi, for sending e-mails, that link is the cheapest means, the page is only 0.4kb. no errors like in yahoo which happens all the time.

@momo: POP(Point Of Presence) mail have your mails actually stored on physical servers and can be retrieved remotely using mail clients such as those found on mobile phones, pdas and PCs. My business offers free POP3 accounts at www.gosmartmobile.com. We dont publicly advertise bcos we want to avoid 419 activity on our servers. Anyone can get one if you desire.
