Summary
Erricson's WAP, Wireless Application Protocol, suffers from a security flaw that allows attackers to listen into other WAP sessions traveling on the cellular carrier wave.
Details
Erricson Mobile Phone allows attackers to wiretap other lines. This attack is limited, since you cannot choose which number to wiretap on, and you cannot talk at the same time that you are wiretapping a line. This vulnerability shows the lack of security of WAP as it is offered in today's cellular networks.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Wiretapping is illegal. The following information is just a proof of concept that shows a potential vulnerability in Erricson's WAP implementation.
How to wiretap from an Erricson Cell Phone:
1) Type 904059
2) Menu
3) Yes
4) 1
5) RCL
6) Yes
7) 8300**
9) 86
(Instead of the ** you can write any number you wish, except for the number 00)
To stop the wiretapping:
1) Type RCL
2) 3
3) Yes

It doesn't work in the T68i. I have tried that trick with the T68m itself. By the way none of the Ericsson Wap phones nowadays let you function this trick because the company has plugged the flaw in its software
But its nice of you to bring it to other guys and gals notice

i just neead any ont to tell me some thing for the t68i that i dident hear for more that a 1000 times is ther any hiddin games in the t68i or any thing new about it i heard that the nokia 6210 can dounlod a program caled irkee that inabels you to open any car that haves an ir dore soo ther must be some thing that can be added to the t68 so it can do it
Posted by dazmcc
why do you want to open other peoples cars???
Posted by HC
Yeah, right!!!!!!
In case, that ought to be the 6310i with java, and the IRKey have to be one of those programs to use with a certain chip before you can lock/unlock an electronical device (probably not cars) with that chip in it..
I heard about something like that for my palm, but it sounds like a lot of work for just some geeky stuff..
You really think you can open cars with an old 6210?
Posted by sinX
whell haking is a whay of life but i just brought that out as a example i mean cummon the t68i haves much more that the nokia 6210 and the program is called ir key

Jamo

Sorry...
And by the way - how do you download programs to a 6210?

BMW's dont have IR and as far as i'm aware they never have done!!! Seeing as my dads had them since around 1996 and he's never had an IR key.
i'd love u to prove this

it means my poor sense of humour is not shared!
no offence meant jamo!

jamo>
youre right i did an apprenticeship with BMW(1998>01)no car i saw in this time or since ran from IR
Posted by jamojdm
Well I live just south of Manchester, and we never get any problems! Its north of manchester and salford way that u hear of all the trouble. And liverpool!!! (can someone prove me wrong?)

And seriously:
Sorry if i repeat myself; but open a BMW with a freaking 6210!!!!!
How likely is that?
Posted by dazmcc
i joke but notts was the worst city in the uk for car crime last year!!!
Posted by evoke
Yeah I live South Manc to and it's great! What's not so great is when I went to Salford Uni once on a course people were taking pot shots at everyone with an airifle from the the flats! People were ducking for cover behind their cars!
I think everywhere is pretty much the same though.

I think he means an 6310, where you can record the incoming ir code and save it so that from the phone it could be resent... otherwise i don't believe it.

i once upon a time did it with a gameboy colour and something called a smart com cartridge... it had a programmable tv remote on it where you had to press a button on a real tv remote and the cartridge stored the incoming IR data and applied it to a button on the gameboy...
you needed to stand at a reflected angle from the victims car when he unlocks it and take a "snapshot" of the IR code.
it could be done on t68 i suppose but it would involve major software and possibly hardware changes... i doubt anyone has the power to do it. and i really doubt u can do it with 6210.
and i dont suppose u guys have gameboy color.
(im 15 so its ok.)

im sure cars dont have the same IR as your phone.... have you ever seen an IR port on a car
Im pretty sure most cars use radio frequencies for alarms, and keyfob things....
Posted by eAlex
jesus christ, ALL cars, even the cheap $99 alarm and power door systems you can buy and install yourself use radio signal to communicate. the deal is that infrared doesnt do its job outdoors. If you ever had a laser tag IR gun that u have to shoot at the small portable target, try it out in the sun. it will no work even at a foot away from the target's sensor. the sun happens to make other lights we cannot see, like infrared.
Posted by hyperken
i dont believe you you about t68i can hack anything with it !
Posted by luguff
The BMW's doesn't work with IR, it's all radio. The program you're looking for is UnlckBMW and works over BlueTooth.
Posted by Andy.
it's a piece of piss to break into a car with a phone here's how.
Just throw the f**ker thru the window.
you may need a older type of phone.

Jamo
Posted by elegantcam
Well I can use any phone to "unlock" any cars.
Phones like the Nokia 9110 have native support.
Just smash the phone to the car's window and the car will automatically unlock.
LOL

Not that I believe any of this mumbo jumbo but...
If you need the key to program the phone in the first place, what is the point?

well i can do this and i use my pal for all of it , i have the remote control software to store ir codes and when the car owner opens his car i stand at a reflected angle and then the ir code stores in my palm then i can open his car... peeps forget their phoens some times....once a 9210i damn you know how much i could sell it for..... didnt take it....i also have this "hk..1001." chip in my pal which was added with this other software to be able to store radio frequencies..... so i would store the new beamer or other cars with remotes when the user opens his car.....made a few mistakes..... once some pone else opened his car at the same time and i stored his in stead ofthe others...... i dont use that any more just the ir some times
and for you car illiterate peeps cars do have ir benz and audi until like 99 or sumtin!
any how just an update for you guys ....peace out

Epedemic: Which programmable Sony remote do you have? Which model? Web link?? I am interested in getting one
Posted by Sunpup69
Why would you want to open other peoples cars for anyway? Is it just for fun to prove that you can open a car then giggle to your friends about it? Ever heard of "breaking and entering?" That's exactly what you are doing. I have my own little motto...it's called "Enter my car and I break you a new asshole." I would think there are better ways to amuse oneself...take the MCA-20 communicam. I can't tell you how much fun I've had taking muff shots, and boning shots with it. Now that's good old fashion fun.
If you're nice I just might send you my latest pics and give you two slaps across your friggen mouth because I like ya

Ok, let's clear this up!! There is no way on this earth that anyone could unlock a BMW with a phone (apart from throwing it through the window), the key works of short wave radio signals (which even the dumbest car thieves know) and even if your phone does support these radio signals (like, yeah right) there are over a million different combintaions per car (remember the ad with all those keys falling onto the car?). So, in short, if you say you can unlock a bmw with a phone, you're talking out your backside!

Anything is possible, actually...
Posted by vsnake
jamo that was my freaking opinion and statement to tell others that it can be done on cars with ir and rf coding....if you had something against me talking abt mercs and audi's thats your problem.......bmw yeah that was hte idea...... but then what about the ppl just saying only way you can is buy throwing your phone through the window.....its my opinion .....
Posted by ewap8
Btw jamojdm, we are NOT talking about BMW, we are discussing the prospects of the T68 as a hacking tool, so vsnake's msg fits in perfectly.
Posted by Sunpup69
To call him a script kiddie would be an insult to real script kiddies.
Posted by vsnake
jamo is this msg appropriate?
Posted by shawnmccall9
man, kind of seems a waste to put your phone through a car window...I know, my hand is much better, cause my hand can heal itself
Posted by ElGato
You are all wasting time on this fake script kiddie..
Even script kiddies know how to spell "hacking machine", and if they have a t68, they know how to spell Ericsson.
"Erricson" is though a common misspelling on bad fake hax0r sitez, and "Erricson" is also very common on fake t68 shells from Taiwan.
