im guessing well over 1k. maybe 1200. and release date mid or end nov. you guys gota admit it does take awhile for phones to reach aus compared to the other countries. so gota sit it out awhile. it will take time and it will be expensive but atleast u get local warranty unless u get it from overseas like i do..

well phones for 3g and gsm phones are different. singapore gets gsm phones about 1.5-3months earlier then aus. but they have yet to get teh z1010 at all as of yet. so im sticking to my word.. it is gona take awhile so hold your horses.

I've been told end of october and about $1,100 on release. K700 is now $0 upfront :-D so might be worth to wait a while.

That's a good sign that OW have them listed now. But I just don't understand why the price is so high, even next to the P910i. For only $200 more the P900i is so much more of a phone. Unless your going to pay just for the look and I guess the size over the P910i. If the S700i had Duo Pro I think I would be sold.... Because that would be a phone you would be happy to keep for a long time.

Talk to sales rep at Sony Central Chatswood today and told that S700i should be available in 2 weeks, no price confirm yet !

@gelfen - Maybe something to do with the camera, but the P910i has more hardware as far as processor, memory etc... go?
BTW - The S700i is in today's Harvey Norman catalogue for $1399 (Available Early November)

I've spotted the S700 in a small mobile phone shop in Melbourne (Easytone? I think)
Dont know if it's an Australian issue phone or a HK import - but these guys usually get new handsets about 3 weeks before offical release.

The agony of the wait is really consuming me. After having seen the S700i listed in many November brochures of major retailers, its still not available for sale. Guess it won't be for another month or so. Sigh!

Yes. I have no idea what their game plan is. I've seen the TV add a few times now, I've seen it in catalogues, I've seen heaps of posters on bus stops, I've seen more about the S700i then any other phone before it's release. But one thing I haven't seen yet is the phone for sale
BTW - a little bird told me that it hasn't even been listed on wholesalers price lists yet. Could be a while off still............

shaheen, yours can't be a local unit, can it? Btw, when does Brightpoint usually distribute new phones to its dealers or is there even a specific date for stock taking? I'm hoping that the next dispatch could contain the S700i. I'm pretty sure it's in, just not mass distributed yet.

The P910i is now available. The cheapest I've seen is $1299. I'm still waiting for the S700i though. Isn't it supposed to be released before the P910i?
On another note, the elusive S700i is advertised on an Optus plan, though it states that this offer only commences on 24th November. Guess that's the clearest indication as to when it should be available.

I got mine for $1168 from NewTech CBD including a HBH-600 bluetooth headset. The handset only price is $1099, so the bundled headset costs $69. Wonder if this phone is already selling like hot cakes, with the Optus promotion and all?
