Hello peeps. I know there is a thread for this but it is too long and some it it doesnt work.
I have tried a WAP setting for my NOKIA and PALM Zire 31 using Globe PH prepaid SIM. This should also work on other Nokia and palmOne units.
System Requirements:
---------------------
WebToGo-Lite application
Palm Wap Browser application
Palm Phone Link application
N6510 driver (or the appropriate driver for your model)
On the Phone:
1: I sent "GO N6510" to 2951 to request for GPRS settings OTA.
2: Then I changed the APN to http://www.globe.com.ph
On the Palm Zire 31
Normally Zire 31 can't connect to a phone but I overcame that by installing the Palm Phonelink application for other Palm models like Tungsten E. You'll know if its successful when you see PHONE in the PREFS on your Palm.
Install WebToGo-Lite and WAP Browser in your Zire31.
As other users have said, WebTogo sets up everything for you. So on WebToGo
1: Tap on Assistant
2: Country: Philippines
3: Network: Globe Telecomm
4: SIM: Globe Telecomm
5: Connection: GPRS
6: Via: Infrared
7: To: Nokia 6510 (or whatever model you might have)
8: Tap on OK
On Palm WAP Browser
1: Go to the Menu> Gateway Settings
2: Gateway Server: 203.177.42.214
3: Gateway ID: BLANK
4: Gateway Password: BLANK
5: Go to the Menu> Advanced
6: Cache: Enabled
7: APN: untitled (CAN ANYBODY HELP ME CHANGE THIS?)
8: Mode: Connection Oriented
USING THIS SETUP
1: Active Nokia 6510 IR.
2: Active Beam for Zire 31. PREFS>POWER then Beam: ON
Align both IR ports.
3: Go to WTGWeb then tap on the HOME button to initiate the connection. It will TIME OUT and give you a proxy error.
4: Tap on home and go to WAP Browser
5: Browse any WAP sites.

Now I have the following questions:
Other users such as jojo said that they were successful in browsing. Others say that WebToGo and Web Browser works.
After initiating the connection using WebToGo, I get
1: Proxy error on WebToGo so I cant browse the internet
2: DNS error on Web Browser so I can browse the internet. I have tried typing in http://IP ADDRESS of the webstite it will say requesting but it wont display. I also have disabled/enabled the proxy but still cant browse.
Q1: Anybody else experience this?
Q2: Any setting to fix WebToGo issues?
Q3: Any setting to fix Web Browser issues?
Q4: Anyone have DNS for GLOBE PH? Can we use other DNS?
I haven't tried this using SMART prepaid cause I haven't got the time and the load yet. But eventually I will.
