Damaged key contact on T68i's PCB - Can anything be done?

I've just bought and fixed up a T68i off Ebay - and it works fine apart from a problem with the 'no' key contact on the phone's PCB.

When I got the phone, it had a damaged front facia, smashed LCD, 'yes' and 'no' keys missing and the membrane that covered the 'no' key had worn away - seemingly from someone prodding that area with a pen, key or other sharp object.

The screen, facia, and keyspad and keypad membrane have been fixed (cannibalised from a dead T68i), but the problem is that the 'no' button is hard to press due to the damage caused by the sharp object (s) being used to operate the no key. Is there anything I can do - like slide a bit of tinfoil or something under the membrane - that could improve the performance of this key? I've already inserted a small piece of paper between the keypad and membrane which helps a little, just wondered if someone had a better solution?

I get max 3 warnings, but still can manage half an hour or so on wap.P. S. I do that to make it dead and recharge from scratch every two weeks.
