Does anyone know what the fastest transfer rates are for the k700i between bluetooth, usb cable and infared.

I am currently using the DCU-11 cable and it tranfers really slow. I was just wondering if bluetooth transfer rate is really fast compared to the cable.

It took a bit the than 10 mins to transfer a 350kb file to the phone.

I think bluetooth is quickest, you can achive as much as 25kb/s transfer rate with a k700

If you use FMA instead of Sony's own software it transfers a lot quicker IMO and you get a progress bar too on the PC showing how much has transferred.

Im using a usb DCu-11 cable just now (bluetooth wont work) and its just so slow! About 1hour 30 mins for 4MB video.

I wanna get an infrared adapter so can someone tell me how much faster it is than cable (ie how long to transfer 4mb!) AND is this one ok?

Well, the fastest indeed is BT. A serial IR (strapped directly on my motherboard IR header) was about three times slower, somewhere around 30-40 min for a 7 MB video file.

(In fact, the fastest way is having a phone with a memory card, and using a card reader for data transfer )

It's got be bad the cables were supposed to be fast. i use bluetooth and find it too slow... Is the slow transfer rate associated with the k700i or is it common to all phones?????

(Thanks to the group i saved on buying a cable)... Cheero!!!
