I live in Swindon, and I've had my T68 since last year, when they first came out. I haven't bothered getting mine updated until now.
Cribbs Causeway, Carephone Warehouse, they have a technician who I'm going to see on Saturday. Hopefully he'll update my phone in time for me to get back for the England game.
This was the closest, SonyEricsson told me Birmingham and Vodafone told me London!

Arrived at Cribbs 10:30, had the phone back by 12. Home in time for the Match, come on England 3-0, I'm having Dansh bacon tomorrow to celebrate!!!
It has worked, my phone is now a sexy silver T68 on the outside and an even sexier T68i on the inside.
Everything everyone has said is true, faster SMS, I can no pick up email, this didn't work before. Not sure the trade of Tetris for Battleships was a good one, but the Picture Phone Book is really good.
I'm in love all over again.

Did they charge you anything? Did you buy it from Carphone Warehouse?
I have heard that you invalidate your warranty if you dont upgrade the software from an authorised service centre, but Im not sure how that works.. Might not be true.

I didn't buy the phone from Carphone Warehouse (I told them this too).
I believe it is an authorised service centre.
It is well worth it, don't worry. Take a girl along with you, she can shop, you can play on the GameCube in Dixons, it'll be fine.
