Someone please help me here...I got a genetic USB cable for my new Z600, i installed the driver and it shown on my device manager as "prolific USB to serial port" COM 3 . The version is PL-2303 which the computer already detected it. I think i got the right driver "PL-2303_20018_driver" I am sure the USB works, but the problem is either the Phone monitor option or even SE image editor can't detect my phone when i plug the cable into the phone. I have enable COM3 and disable others. I really need help for this please help my little soul.

No yellow "!" mark under device manager for the IR or COM port?
You do know that sometimes it takes a minute or 2 to detect the phone?

i am really really to continue to post the same stuffs, but i will list the stuffs i am having now: The drive i am using is PL-2303 V 2.0.0.18 that is the most uptodate driver i can find, and It is a COM port and in my COM 3, and i plug it in for a hour and it just won't detect. My phone monitor just will not show up the phone i connected to. The port setting for the port are: bits per speed 9600, data bits 8, parity none, stop bits 1, and flow control Xon/Xoff.

Well, you need to install whatever software you want to use to do whatever you want to do.
For example: sendfile or Float's mobile agent to send stuff to your phone, SE's picture editor to edit pictures, etc
Mobile Phone Monitor won't pop up or say anything on its own without the actual application program trying to send/receive stuff to/from the phone, if that's what you were asking.
You can check whether the cable is actually working by doing the hyperterminal test using Window's HyperTerminal program. Do a search.
