Hello all,
I've been using mms on t610 since 10 months. Lately, 10 days back mms transfer was not happening. Our service operator (Hutch) said at that time there was some problem in their network. Even after its sorted out, i am not able to send mms's to myself and to others.
GPRS works fine and i can browse all wap sites without any problems.
Peculiar nature of mms: when i switch off and switch on the phone and use mms, the first mms is always succesful, and it fails later on to any msg. Im able to receive mms's(just the icon is visible on standby mode and msgs are visible in inbox) but unable to read/download them. Could someone explain to me about the proble? I doubt there is any problem with the network operator since its fine with most of my friends.

One thing, just check if the message server is absolutely correct and type it out here.

I faced a similar problem two weeks ago. Try doing a master reset. It worked for me. (The minor reset)

here is the message server address(ip address) for the mms data account:
... so it doesnt have an ip address here all blanks.
in picture message settings, the message server addr is as follows.
http://mms1.hutchworld.co.in/mms/
i am still afraid of master resetting.

Mate, i recommend you do a full reset. I.e second option in the reset menu. Reset all.

But reset all will delete all the stuff in the phone. First try doing 'reset settings'

PS: does these resets have any effect on the sim card info? and my contacts will remain intact rite? or any precaution to be taken care of?
i understand, only the fone settings will be erased.. am i right?

Mate your sim contacts will be intact. Your server is correct. Btw, the default code is 0000

btw, i resetted only my settings. and sent for mms/gprs activation. yet to receive the settings.

oh ayush, manual entry i did it just now and failed.. waiting for god hutch to send me the settings.

any quick way to configure it ? i saw hutch website but its crap as it doesnt talk about APN address and stuffs like dat.
just now tested mms and it failed once again after 2nd and subsequent mms tests. i had just resetted the settings.
should i go for reset all option for once more try or go straight to the dumb
service centre? . i am clueless here.

There is no need for doing that imo. Try it. But it will delete everything in the phone except the preinstalled items and the contacts in the sim. Do it only if you wanna lose your stored stuff. But i don't think a full reset would do any good.

Mate, i've known ppl who have solved many a problem with a full master reset. Else in to accel. They are better.

master reset didn help. it just made my life diffi uploading my favs again.
still the same mms problem.
switch off switch on. one mms working. after dat. its gone. i am fed up of it.
called up accel.. they have to check the handset it seems. so time to pay a visit to them.. will go shortly..
peculiar problems make ones life too sad with more confusions..

I too am facing the same problem when i switch off and switch on the phone and use mms, the first mms is always succesful, and it fails later on, no MMS is recieved or can be sent until rebooted. Also wap browising is failing. Reset(setting/complete) did not fetch ne results..
does any body have an answer, I guess it is a bug in the handset.... Is there a patch available??
