Well, I'm not that picky.. I can charge my phone every night but not with SONY ERICSSON K700i. Ok THe phone it self is very cool(mp3, radio, camera) but not as that cool... the memory only 41MB so would u put your favorite songs in that tiny space? and the battery!!! It sucks ass!! only last for about 7 hours!!! I turn off the screen saver, themes, low volume, no wap, talk just for couple minutes... still... will not go over 8. what the hell? I read the describtion that this phone has 300H stand by time and 420mins talks time. <-- this is bullshit.
Good phone but not that good I'll go back to Nokia or Samsung. ANYONE IN USA WILLING TO TRADE THIS SUCK ASS PHONE? PLEASE REPLY ME, I got this phone 3 days ago(I have receipt for proof) I'm looking for the color phone which has better battery life.

My battery last two days with 2h surfing, 2h playing, 1h of mp3 playing, 2h as a bluetooth modem (GPRS+bt). As for the memory, I have 7 songs, refrains of all that songs, 10 java games, and bunch of pictures, themes and videos (about 10, that lasts 20 sec), and I still got 20 MB of free memory! The trick is, you can convert mp3s in mp4s. Quality is same, but it takes double less memory (in avarage 1,5 Mb)!

Really? My battery lasts 14 hours,generally using it and phoning most of the time

After the Ericsson T20s, my next phone was 7210.. lasted 6 months.. I needed so much to get rid of it that I was the first person in my town to buy the T610..

Actually...... it does appear that phones on 1900 mhz consume more battery power than on 900/1800 mhz.
Don't ask me why coz I can't begin to imagine...... but don't rule this out,

Hmmm, I detect a bit of a flame war! Intresting though that the original poster hasn't said anything since starting this thread off.
All phones have strengths and weaknesses. Looking at a phones's specifications carefully before buying it ensures you don't buy a phone that you think 'sucks'. For example if you want to play loads of MP3s, don't get the K700, buy something like a P900/910 which can play MP3s and takes mem stick duos, so you can have as much memory and mp3s as you want.
As for the battery life, that is indeed not very good. There are many, many, many threads on this. I have to admit I do miss my older Nokia's week or longer batt life! Either a spare battery or a firmware update will fix this with the k7.

Personally, after buying my K700i for a week, I was disgruntled as well by it's performance 
But having compared it's features with my Nokia 7610 back then, it's quite a much better model I guess by now You will get used to it I tell you pal, unless if you are planning to get the SE S700 this coming 4th quarter

I have a T230 and it lasts more than 5 days and I use to play on it, talk and everything. I was thinking of buying a k700i. I don't think that the battery lasts for only hours, cause noone whould buy a phone like this! There must be something you're doing wrong or the battery is defected: buy a new one. If all k700i-s are acting like this than I should say that the k700i is crap, but like i say: I DON'T THNK SO! }-(

My brother uses his phone pretty much, like the common user i think. After the upgrade and loading the phone about 12-14 hours 5-6 times he now have about 5 days of use.
My father whoīs a extreme user of phone can use his about 2-3 days. Bluetooth, 3-4 hours of talking every day, showing it for customers and so on. Thatīs not bad.

I love my k700i... iv only had my battery run low once...
lithium polymer ion batteries can be recharged anytime, so when my k700i is a home... just clip in that charger.... works wonders

ive had my k700 for a few weeks now and the battery life has improved greatly, but what do u expect with BT games MP3's and radio of course the battery isnt gonna last as long as its meant to. the phone is awsome and if your worried about not enough songs, ive got 20 on there now, i use a wave editing program to re-encode MP3's into MP4's, u can adjust the Quilty to how much u think is neccecry, i find this phone to be the best ive ever had.

I've had myk700i for a month and after the upgrade to r2l it last 3 days now which is comparable to my bro's 7650 and my other bro's 6230. Of course the phone would never last that long if you use it for mp3 playback most of the time, it's a phone NOT an mp3 player go buy an ipod if you really use mp3 a lot

There is a problem with the battery for the K700i, Im from the UK and you have to charge your battery every night, but , Sony have just brought a new software for the phone, and once this is downloaded onto your phone the battery last much much longer, give it a try,

After 5 months of being observing the K700 in here in Esato and being out in Europe, it finally came to my country about 1 or half month and I recently bought it and I love this baby...I do. Finally my dream came true of having the K700, itīs also my first plan in the carrier I am with the phone I always wanted. And then I see you hating it, I canīt tolerate that, but well itīs your choice.
Yes...the battery is minimal, but you will not find another cell phone like K700 at this price and at this time as good as it.
