I got my ps2 about 2 years after it came out, and by then it had a great selection of games.... and was really cheap! its better to wait debu!
btw guys, Sony's pre-E3 press conference is tonite (cant wait for that can you).
Culver City, Los Angeles at 11pm (uk time) Footage of Metal Gear Solid 4 will be shown among other things, Sony's PS3!!

Indeed, PlayStation 3's hardware has gotten a little more detailed
The nVidia-powered graphics are twice as powerful as a GeForce6800 Ultra.
The main CELL processor included will run at 3.2GHz, and feature 7 SPE's. The nVidia GPU will run at 700MHz, and there will be a 256MB XDR RAM stick included with the PS3.
PS3 will have robust multimedia support, including:
- Videochat
- Internet access
- Digital photo viewing
- Digital audio and video playback.
It's also been confirmed that the PS3 will have:
- A detachable hard drive
- Six USB ports
- Memory stick, SDCard and Compact Flash slots
- And seven bluetooth wireless ports
The PSP will be a major bonus for PS3 owners!
You can have remote access to your PS3 from your PSP, and you can even use a Wi-Fi connection within the PS3 to use your PSP as a controller for a PS3 game
PlayStation 3 also features a "built-in network cap".
? Phil Harrison has just stated that there will be "an amazing surprise" at the end of the show??

MAN!!! tats one sleek smooth lookin piece of the future!!
PS3 body design is inspired by the PS2 body parts and layouts. PS2 focuses on cubism or shud i say geomatrical design such as a bauhaus design... while PS3 did that same theory and blends in modern architecture of today with curved lines and rounded shapes. Sony inspiration comes from the industrial design, while XBOX-360 is inspired by Apple IPOD e.g IPOD Shuffle hehe...
Honestly Im in love with the machine but not the bomerang controller, it doesnt blend in with the PS3 machine... it would be preffered if the controller stick with the same design with abit of cubic design..
p.s the lettering PlayStation3 on the body is inspired by 'Spider-Man' the movie fonts... hehehe..
