Semicon
Semicon has several branches. Please visit their site for the address of the one nearest to you.

If you are a P900 user, you can do so online via the SonyEricsson Update service website.

Where do I post for quick answers? / What is Pinoy Chitchat?
If you are looking for quick answers to your question (ie. where to buy a bluetooth headset), try the Pinoy Chitchat thread. That thread is not archived, and is deleted every 10,000 posts or so.

Discussions are generally about SE phones, but discussion can range from serious to trivial, and often times, just crazy.

Are there regular meet-ups (ie EB or Eyeballs)
For the latest news about meet-ups, try the Pinas EB thread.

I haven't attended an EB (or, I wanna get scared) Where can I find the pictures of the "members"?
The Philippine SonyEricsson Users Club- SE Ph Club gallery

My post/thread is missing. What happened to them?
You can see if they've been moved to a more appropriate forum by clicking on the "My Posts" link, in the second line of the top menu on every page.

A post or a thread can be edited, moved, deleted by a moderator or by the Administrator. Please refer to the Esato Forum Rules.

Where can we discuss about the local Mobile Network Operators?
You can also try the Comments for Globe, Smart, Sun operators (PH)

I'm a Px00 (P800, P900, P910) user. Where do I talk about my phone with fellow users?
Head over to Sony Ericsson P800/P900 Philippine Users Group

Why do some threads have "PH" on their titles?
ESATO is an international SonyEricsson forum. We usually include "PH" (for Philippines) to distinguish the Philippine-specific threads from other threads by users from other countries.

What is Pinoy Chit-Chat?
Pinoy Chit-Chat is a thread primarily for Pinoys at ESATO, but everyone else is welcome.

A thread for exchanging ideas, opinions, and what-have-yous about local matters (for local Pinoys) and updating each other (for Pinoys outside the Philippines.)

What does Pinoy mean?
Pinoy is a local slang for a citizen of the Philippines. Formally, we are called Filipinos.

What does Pinas mean?
Pinas is truncated from the word Pilipinas, the local term for our country the Philippines.

Who posts at Pinoy Chit Chat (PCC)
Look at the PCC Poster's Profile thread for this info.

What is the address of arnoldc's wap site?
Please go to http://www10.brinkster.com/azcruz/

Are there any rules when posting at the Chit-Chat thread?
There really aren't any hard and fast rules for posting at Chit-Chat. Since this thread is still part of the ESATO community, all ESATO rules hold true in this thread.

However, we have Chit-Chat posting guidelines which we hope everyone would try to follow.

Are there Off-topic subjects in PCC?
Yes. All matters pertaining to the following have been moved to their own dedicated threads:

Are there anything else?
PCC is very dynamic, just watch out for announcements. But here is a simple rule: If the subject you wish to post is not PARTICULAR to philippine users, most likely you can post it in the international part of the forum. Read some of the previous posts, to get a feel of how things work.

Dictionary 101
PCC - Pinoy Chit-Chat
PEB - Pinas EB
EB - Eye Ball. Slang for meet-ups.

I heard that PCC and PSEUG once got featured in the Esato news section, where is the article?
Yep, laffen (the webmaster and owner of the site) seems to have ran out of better news to tell and decided to feature the group. Read his article: True SonyEricsson fans live in the Philippines

Is there a faster way of setting up my phone?
Yes, it's called OTA (or Over the Air) configuration.

For GLOBE users, type "Go {choose from: T39, T65, T68, R520, T610, T630}" and send to 2951. It will cost you 2.50 per request.

For SMART users, type "SET GPRS T68" and send to 211. I don't know what other models can be used, and how much they charge.

Threads/posts of possible special interest to Pinoys: (Please keep in mind that some of the links posted here are in the "international" part of the board, so please write in English)

GPRS setup for your phones (R520, T39, T65, T68)
GLOBE
SMART

PC/Notebook setup for using your phone as a modem.
GPRS for Notebooks and PCs
Setup for IR, Cable (DRS-10, DRS-11, modified service cable), and Bluetooth .

PDA settings and discussions
PalmOS (Palm, Sony, Handspring)
PocketPC (Ipaq, Jornada) [small](no existing PPC-related thread. will update this as soon as there's one)[/small]

SyncML Discussions
Weblicon thread, corporate website

EB - Eye-Ball thread
Pinas EB

Historical Threads - locked or inactive Ahh ... remember the days when 50 or so posts are considered long threads already?:D
Pinas EB incarnations- Original, Second, Third

Pinoy Chit-Chat incarnations- Original, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth

Sony Ericsson Filipino Users (Originally "T68 Filipino Users") - First thread, Second Thread

(Consider this as a work in progress. For the most part, I will be maintaining this FAQ with your help and inputs.

It's not meant to be an Q & A thread. Please refer to the appropriate thread, or if there's no such topic thread, please start a new one.

Hello. I would like to ask if anyone knows any retailer here in Manila that sells a P900 keypad. I tried Semicon and was shocked at the price. Php 2,300 + Php 500 (labor). It's quite unfair that they have to install the keypad. I can install it myself. What if I go there and my phone is flipless? They wouldn't sell it to me?
I hope someone who know the answer to my question(s). Thanks.

how about my k700i... what should i do to use my phone as a modem???

Posted by pyke
Hello.

I tried surfing directly through the P990i and everything seems ok. But this time, I'm trying to use my P990i as a bluetooth modem for my Desktop and my Pocket PC. Both show that it's already connected to the internet but It's not downloading any webpages. Eventually, the P990i will disconnect it's bluetooth connection to either the Pocket PC or the desktop. I hope someone could help. I had the P990i for less than a week and my excitement is deteriorating.

If ever you decide on switching from PC to Mac (desktop to laptop), buzz me...I have setup my P990i (Smart line) to serve as a bluetooth modem for my Mac Book Pro.

Install the disc that came with the phone, the Sony Ericsson PC Suite. Then after that, connect your phone to your computer via USB cable then open the Sony Ericsson PC Suite. Click on Mobile Networking Wizard then enter the APN of your network provider. For Smart, it is internet or smart1 and for Globe, it is www.globe.com.ph or http.globe.com.ph. Just follow the corresponding prompts.
