Amazing discovery! I'm realizing just now, that i've been surfing for the past 25 mins with no globe signal! This has never happened before! Maybe this is a trick or a bug that might save battery or possibly bill :-D

Sometimes i get a little phone instead of the globe. I don't know why, i always use the same connection.Weird.

On only monthly charge unlimited usage. This happened for first time. Guess provider flaw

You are not saving anything

When you are wapping without the "globe" on - this only means that GPRS are not available and instead you wap via GSM paying for time spent online at the same rate as in a normal phone call - instead of paying a fixed price for data transferred GPRS.

Usually wapping via GSM is more expensive than wapping via GPRS - but it varies depending on which contract you have with your operator.

But pls try to understand i haven't subscribed to dial up wap. Plus gprs triangle wap there! And no telephone symbol.@shyam so whose flaw it is?

@ayush by my experience its of Both . Coz its actually connected to gprs,it doesnt show,first mob tries to connect,fails,tries again then this happens.but always this doesnt happen, that makes me think it could be phone flaw also.I could be wrong but i said my experience .

Try taking the battery out defore you end the wap session, that way sometimes the counter wont go up. :-).

Yup, for all those with said gprs lets hope the reliance trial works here. Ayush might have already tried that! :-)

Is it gonna matter for you Ayush? Anyway you will pay your monthly rental if you have your gprs activated. Doesn't matter whether you use it or not.
