Wont work with most of the new sims, thats how it is here in Australia
.
Also, the phones are very picky when it comes to USIMs, so even if your sim is one of the old type it still may not work.
Also, using a 2G handset on the 3 network can get you kicked off the network according to their Terms and Conditions.
They are a business, they cant have you sucking money out of them because you are using their affiliates 2G network. Roaming costs them money.
