i said

Hi do you REALLY have this handset i have heard its not even out yet are you a scam artist?

reply

I have the products. Look how we can finish a fast and both of us safe deal.

I will provide you this invoice for your security, also for my security i will request the payment via western union. For your security you will deposit the money on your friend name and send me the scaned paper so i'll be sure you have the money and you're redy to spend them on the phones. Once the money will be deposited, i will initiate the shipping to you, via UPS DHL or FedEX, i will pay for the shippin. After you will receive the phones and check if all are ok. You will go at western union office and change the name or pick back the money and deposit them again on my name. It is very easy and fast. Please let me know your opinion and let's start the deal.

Yes it is true, the P910 was not released officialy on the UK market, i have them from my boy friend who's working at Sony Ericsson in USA, about the western union transfer all you need is to go with cash at a western union office.

Hmmm, interesting. I wont judge blindly. But the other person is too eager to make the deal , what do you feel about that?

hmmmmmmmmmmm

sounds extremely dodgy to me...if i was you i would stay well clear

if, like you suggested, she could provide you with evidence such as a photo it would be different (i dont really understand her reason for not providing you with a photo ....but thats probably just me being dumb ), but as she cant i would take SE advice and not buy from her

Sounds like a scam to me.

1500GBP for 10 pieces of P910? Stolen?

Why is the seller talking British money? If you are in Britain, why would you want American P910s?

Depositing on your friend at Western Union? Are you sure you can move the money afterwards?

How about depositing on your grandmother, so you are sure to get your money back? This sounds safe, but have you checked WU's rules?

You will be sending the scam-artist a copy of a money transaction. Is there a way for the artist to use this document to withdraw the money? Perhaps with the help from a not-so-honest friend working at the local Western Union office?

If you go through with this, you are pretty sure to get screwed: Either you loose your money, or you end up with stolen property that cannot be used in your country...

Have heard a story similar to this in Ebays forums some time ago. The "fake" seller was eventually caught and sussed out. It was done by Ebay members taking their own action and members in the same area (London if I remember right) actually staked out the address which turned out to be a barbers shop with an internet room in the back. They got pics with their phons and posted them too. I believe the so called "seller" was sent payment of monoply money or something after he was caught. From what I read it was the barber himself who was behind it and the product he was apparently selling were laptops. The buyer actually recieved broken laptop bits/parts and newspapers which was where it all started from.
