When you call a beauty girl, or if she calls you, I want to record the hot conversation.... BUT it sounds a BEEEEEEEEEEP every X seconds, and she heards it, and say something like: Did you heard that BEEP?
and I answer: That's my phone, I'm steel configurating it...
LOOOOOOOOOOL
Suggestions to keep out this beep?
Posted by rdnymllnsktr
You can't. That's so people'll know that you're recording them. You know, it's illegal to record without their consent.

My T300 also didn't BEEP. What's the law that says we can't record the beautyful voiceses of our girls...
In the new firmware will rocks that the BEEP disapeares
Posted by BobaFett
Well, the min minder can be turned off at the sounds, if it is.
Posted by neonismo
I guess having the beep fire off every few minutes while recording really kills the moment during a steamy phone sex exchange
... with your girlfriend of course
Posted by mwright
As far as I know, it is illegal to make a recording of someone without their knowledge.
Therefore the phone makes a noise to indicate that it is recording.
Posted by Chaser81
As mentioned above, it is ENTIRELY illegal to record a telephone conversation without the other party's consent. For this reason phones will sound a beep down the line to notify the other person that the conversation is being recorded.
This type of feature is fairly new, and as such some older mobile phones may not have it. All new mobile phones SHOULD have it.
There is no way to turn it off.
Stop recording girls on the phone you juveniles.

I recorded several times a call if it was an important one. If its illegal, why does a fone have this feature?
Posted by Chaser81
I am not saying the FEATURE is illegal, using it WITHOUT LETTING THE OTHER PERSON KNOW is.
Its perfectly acceptable to have this feature, and indeed, it can be very useful, but you have to let the other person know, which is why there is the beep on the line.
Posted by BobaFett
I dont really know whats this beep u are talking about, never noticed it. Does it has sg to do with the operator aswell?
Posted by Ayush
Which new phones have this as you're saying? Maybe he simply has 'minute minder' on.
Posted by Chaser81
Its not minute minder. My old Motorola T250 had this feature. I could record a call, but every ten seconds when I did the other person would hear a short beep. It said in the manual that this was due to the legality of recording a telephone call.
Posted by Ayush
But maybe in this case if has it on. Let's try to find out.
Posted by methylated_spirit
Why are you recording girls? Pervert.
Posted by swazi
guys basically that sound is to aware the other perosn on the other end of the call, its pretty noticable when your recording,n na you cant turn it off, you are allowed to record someone as long as you warn the person before you start recording.
Posted by moesix
yeah i noticed the beep the other day while testing the feature. Took me a couple of beeps to realize that it's from the phone recording the convo, i was so sure it was somethign with the network or my friend's phone lol.
The beep however doesnt get recorded.
Posted by BobaFett
Exactly, the record is clear, no beep.
Posted by thadius
I'm pervert sorry....But if anybody knows how to turn it off or...any other solution to record mmmmmmm an interview -_-' (rofl) without the BEEP.
And what about to record CellPhoneSex? it's illegal also?
(PD: It sin't the minute minder!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grrrrrr)

On t310 there is no beep while recording
Posted by thadius
In my T300 neither.
Why the new models have it? I don't understand...
Posted by Lembo
I found this function very useful.
I've never recorded anyone without the consent but was very good to take down directions or the misses wanted me to buy a buy a few things on the way home.
Never had a bleep as I remember, it was on my old Nokia 8310.
Did someone say the K700 has this function?

At that case i would like to be informed, that cos of this law my fone has disturbing beeps at recording. Is that written in the manual? Does se and operator informed u?
Posted by kimcheeboi
Of course!
Anyways its the weird ones that record calls with girls :-/
And then its even weirder how they get a girl in the first place
Posted by Lembo
I heard that if you say certain words on the phone like 'Usama Bin Laden' or 'Al Qaeda' the FBI or MI6 will start recording you phone call.
Maybe the beeps are them tapping in?
Posted by BobaFett
Thats right, allah, bomb etc was recorded by the agencies already 20 y ago.
Posted by thadius
What the...?
Do you know more words??
It's funny ^_^
Posted by abudinsz
This legal/illegal thing is completely location dependent. For instance in Texas if i remember correctly it is a single party consent law... IOW if one party is aware of the recording taking place then it is legal (pretty funny if you ask me). This is also true for some other states as well. Then of course there are places where both parties need to consent... this probably gets even more interesting legally if you are recording a conference call...
Posted by thadius
yeeeeeees
This is the best answer...AT LAST...
ThnX abudinsz
Now I know why my K700i have the beep...
Posted by thadius
lol
Something else?
Posted by BobaFett
Would be interesting to ask your operator about it.
Posted by thadius
I'm spanish, and I have a Free K700i..
Posted by methylated_spirit
Never mind legal/illegal, it aint ethical! Thadius you are bang out of order, the recorder device is for legitimate business use, and clearly you have problems...and all you other people should be ashamed of yourselves for indulging him and trying to *help his problem*
