The picture quality sux, or i was just expecting too much. The japanese model of S700 has 100x better picture quality. If this test is real i am not getting my S700 for sure!

to me the picture quality is quite good, the only thing that brings me down is the the length of time limited to recording video clips. about 1 and a half minutes

I think with a 1.3 megapixel camera, SE should expand the memory capabilities - not only internally but externally too.
Maybe a 256/512/1gb card would be advantagious

I think what lets those pictures down and makes them look worse than they are is the scene shot. The pictures are all taken in a cold dark looking city in Russia (not sure which, and cant be arsed to find out either).
Im sure if the pictures were of a Miami beach during a hot summer day we'd all be going ' oooh ' and ' ahhhh ' !
BTW, apparently the S700 has the same camera components as the SOS05iS, so the pictures should look the same.

It seems that the camera still has the same trouble with low light conditions.
SE may still have to do some tweaks before the final release of the S700.

anyway the pics are waaaaay better than 7610 and about those s0505is if i remember correctly those pics were from the offical se site so they post the best pics naturally
and they even look better than gx 30....
the problem is that we might get it in december considering the speed svema has at these things

yeah i was very suprised by the s700 video it looks worse than k700? i mean is that even possible? or is it quicktime
the preview at mobile-review showed a 240*320 video from so505is but that one looked just too good, almost like a real digital camera......
ah well i guess some software tweaks can improve it.....

For me the cam is simply gr8.its better than phones of 1mp range.but the review is not full!? There should be unlimited video in my opinion. :-D

I think they might have used a low resolution to record the video's in since they're not much bigger and better than the K700 videos.
The video i have is much better which was made by the S700, you all know the one, the little Japanese girl in the ball pool.
