Dont know if this has already been mentioned
Just seen an ad on tv from O2. Theyve started up a 'Happy Hour' where you can send free texts between 7-8pm everyday.
Not Bad I think.

This is in your country or roaming, 'cos Orange SK and Eurotel have this "Happy hour" in roaming. So when you are, say in Chorvatia, then you can send free SMS from VIPnet between 17-18. It's the same on O2 UK?

Not really sure if it includes roaming. I live in the UK so I would assume it would only be available here. It was only a 3 minute advert on tv.
I think its good seeing as its not a bolt on that O2 normally put out.

Its only if you have a contract with them-i think if you have the 100 one. You cant send more than 2000 per month or something like that(it says on the advert a fair usage policy thing)
Just found this
For wappers-

Hi just thought i'd add a little extra info and clear this up a bit. the happy hour is only activated on contacts which have been started after 1st july. all other pay monthly customers (if they r on a tarriff over £20 a month) can activate happy hour by ringing customer services.

so existing customers can use it. thats one phone call i'll be making today.

A good marketing idea. But will it cause extra congestion and delayed text messages. These are usually very busy times aswell??
