Its probably the profile that lets you control your pc with your K700, the HID profile i think its called.

When i get my K700, hopefully on friday if it arrives on time, this will be one of the new features i'll be trying as soon as the phones charged up.

i hope you can make a connection with this service coz i cant

You can control your PC with your K700. The K700 is a HID (Human Interface Device), an input device. You can find the conectionfiles on your K700 here:

Go to (in K700 menu):
Connectivity -> Bluetooth -> Remote control

From the phone you can choose three different files to control your PC:
Desktop (to control your desktop)
MediaPlayer (to control your mediaplayer on your computer via BT)
Presenter (to control powerpoint presentations, i think)

HID is a nice function on the K700!

Yeah, it is!

I have it connected. The screen turns into a remote control with icons representing the different buttons on the keypad. It's pretty damn cool. I'd imagine it being very useful for business presentations.

I mean CONTROL your PC. The K700 works lika a keyboard or mouse (with some limitation of course). The K700 is a wireless input-device for your PC.

The HID-function on K700 is mainly developed for businesspeople so they can change their powerpoint presentation wireless while they are walking arond in the confereceroom.

But SE have added extra functions like controll your playlist in Mediaplayer..etc.

Optimal is wireless FM headphones and K700. That gives you total wireless music control. You can walk around in your house and listen to music while changing track from K700, wireless....through walls...it is very cool.

I haven't gotten it to work. Is it anyone that has? How if that's the case?

You can do the same with other phones, for BT (or BlueTooth) Controller, it's a program that provides a new BT service in your computer, you can even use your phone as a mouse

Is this new bluetooth function limited to the old 10M range found on older handsets ?

Posted by folling182
there is a program that works with any sonyericsson phone that does that, and it has been out for aaaaaaaages...just cant remember the name

I cannot get my P900 OR K700 to connect with my PC I have tried for AGES to get both to work but I am unable, well that's not actually true, I can get both to connect to browse and transfer files but I am unable to get the serial fuction to work ( which I belive is required to get this remote control fuction to work) It has been extremely annoying as I have unistalled PC Suite and BT software several times. Perhaps someone could provide me with a guide or link to advise the correct procedure for doing this.

What sort of BT dongle are You using and what version of Widcomm's BT Software do You have? It's a question to You Royalty too!

Hmm... No news since yesterday?

This app is amazing, i ran like, god know how many meters away from my pc, to floors down and kept running, and as far as i heard the sound, i could change it with my k700i!! I've got a Linksys bluetooth dongle, think it's 100 m range on it, but, as we know, our K700i hasent got that range, but even, it's incredible cool to have this app..

I got a trust bluetooth dongle, but the driver doesn´t seem to support this service. Can I use a different driver?

Posted by masseur
I have the billionton usb dongle with the widcomm drivers etc which offers this service but I still haven't managed to get it to work

I have a :bt: adaptor by some co. called 'Silicon Valley' with Widcomm drivers. When I paired it for the first time, the phone prompted whether for starting "remote control"...I chose 'yes' and was connected immediately.
