Currrently I have my email done through dial up through Blueyonder UK but this costs me druring the day as I only have off-peak calls free.

in the wap account click preperred and make empty the box "use wap account", and than try to check your email.

If you have an e-mail account, that has a PoP3 or Imap4 server you can do that. I have an ISP I use through my home computer. I use the same settings on my P900. This way I can check my e-mail over GPRS.
See your manual under Messaging Accounts/ E-mail.

I think that you need internet gprs to do it. If you use wap gprs then its not possible. Thats why because when using wap gprs all ports are closed except for the standart wap port.

Thanks, Guys

I played about with the GPRS settings I had which is through T-Mobile UK and it allowed me to connect to Blueyonder's mail servers to my surprise. Last time I did this mind you it was on a different phone I swear I could not log on to the pop and stmp servers.

Now I can check my email daying knowing its only going to cost me the size of the download

Bare in mind, that you won't be able to send e-mails using blueyonders smtp.blueyonder.co.uk address. Because you're using GPRS from T-Mobile, you'd have to ask for T-Mobiles SMTP address. I know Orange has one for this purpose.

Here in US T-mobile acts only as a gateway to the internet. What you do after you get on it is up to you.

That's right, BUT, some ISP's, do not allow foreign connections to send mail through their SMTP servers. At least blueyonder doesn't. So you would have to use a different SMTP server, which allows e-mails to be sent from T-Mobiles GPRS servers.
