Its a kind of software that you have read only in science fiction novels. Keyhole LT is a software which once you load on your desktop displays planet earth as it is being seen from outer space! Remember these are live satellite images being fed into your PC! Now type in an address into its search box and sit back. The software will simply zoom into the address you typed and show you what the place looks like with accuracy levels as high as half a meter! The only flip side is that you need broadband .

Cool, whats the software?
Posted by axxxr
Thats what i'd like to know.
Posted by whizkidd
I have mentioned the name KEYHOLE LT

Keyhole LT is a software application that you download and install. It’s only 4MB, but with an annual Keyhole subscription, you can fly through 7+ Terabytes of Earth imagery and data – spinning, rotating, tilting, and zooming. Think magic carpet ride.

The software costs around $50 for a one year license. Try the seven day trial version ! Its great.
Posted by whizkidd
But you cant zoom into just any part of the globe. There are still some countries left to be mapped. You can only get a birds view of such countries.

do'h the damn site will not send me a 7 days trial to hotmail.com *buuhuu*

Man this is really great stuff! I was talking to my uncle in the US and i gave him a detailed description of his neighbourhood where i have never been in my life! He had absolutely no clue how i could do that! Try it folks have fun and let us know what happened!

@mwright do let me know what you did with the software. Did you try iraq?
Posted by mwright
Just got it setup.
Trying to find my old house in Oregon atm!!
Posted by 50Cent
its very likely that u can get the 7 day trial, get a patch and use it forever! thats how i got all my expensive animation software.
Posted by mwright
Yes but you need to login to their server to get the data - they can easily delete your account after 7 days and render it useless!
Posted by whizkidd
What if we download it again after seven days? Would it work?
Posted by mwright
Eventually you will run out of email addresses to register it against!!
Posted by whizkidd
Did you find your old house?
Posted by mwright
Yep!
Posted by whizkidd
What about the clarity? You could make out all details ? Why dont you try white house? Might catch bush with his pants down!
Posted by Hell Fire
Hehe, maybe Bush using it to do the same thing :D
Posted by whizkidd
@hell fire have you tried the software?
Posted by ceco
I looked everywhere, where is the free trial at?

After you install the program and run it for the first time, you'll get this pop up where you have to input the password, username, etc.
Above that you'll see an option to get the password, or something. Just click that and you'll get some options, 7 day trial, or buy the license for a year, etc etc.
SO just choose the 7 day trial and sign up for it. They'll send you an email and you can run the program.
All in all, an alright program. But I don't think I 'd be willing to part with $30-40+ for a program I won't be using that often.
Posted by whizkidd
Anyone else tried this software?
Posted by vckay
I dont think you will be able to use it after seven days even if you use a different email idbecause they will most certainly note down your ip and the program probably will probably also note down your mac address and bios time .

Posted by whizkidd

Posted by whizkidd

Posted by Ayush
How did you try it though? You've broad band?
Posted by energetic
We are on a 24/7 on-line basis fully connected. This is what shipping does to you. There must me a great load of packets send/delivered from the server, plus 70 of our employees are constantly on line. I must say that my computer was on an almost total meltdown

No. Where did you try it?
Posted by whizkidd
Earlier, our local cyber cafe had broadband internet. But he shut shop and now we are left with the old dial-up internet. I tried the software at the cafe. I don't have an internet connection at home.
Posted by Ayush
And it worked well?
Posted by whizkidd
Indeed! I was able to spy my uncle in the US!
Posted by Ayush
This is awesome... I'm just gonna dl it now
Posted by whizkidd
Its definitely worth a try!
Posted by whizkidd
Anyone else tried this?!
Posted by absinthebri
I tried a cappuccino once. Seemed like a waste of a good espresso.
Posted by kristaga
There is no Linux version of the programme. So I cannot use it even though I have broadband.
