I'm buying the t610 (yipee!) . Pls guys I need a FINAL clarification! Does the t610 has any sort of bug 2 do wid the battery. Like my earlier 310 and my present 68i? (which to some extent does have this problem) I'm refering to the nagging habbit of battery indicator becoming low after a boot up.. Thanks guys

Powering on and off often drained my battery pretty quickly, though I think most phones suffer from this. Best to leave it on.

Posted by BobaFett
my fones are always on aswell. however, once in 2 or 3 month i take out the battery and put it back ( its ca 10 sec ) except my r520, it runs since years nonstop. noticed battery power loose by switching on/off since t68 too. donnow the real reason, but i would be really interested. are thos li-pol batteries so sensitive? if yes, why?

Posted by Ayush
It really isn't great you know But this never happens with nokia phones??? Why SE??? they make such great phones.... this is really putting me off feel like crying

Posted by BobaFett
i keep to my principals and fones, no thoughts just because of it to switch to another brand cos of this bug. look on the many positive reasons to buy an se, instead of crying this small feauture defect.

Posted by Ayush
Hmm.. but does this mean if I have 40% power left it will dip down to 5%??? And what about that week thing and hissing sound problem? Should I check the manufacturing date??

Posted by vckay
I dunno if the graphical indicator correctly represents the amount me power left on the battery cause i have seen the amount of power actually increase when the phone is left in standby for some time. I think the hissing problem is restricted to phones made before week 23 (2003) the week can be seen when u open the back panel .

Posted by BobaFett
what sound u mean?

Posted by meptik
The hissing shouldn't be a problem anymore, since it's unlikely t610's that old are still being sold.

I can't say I've ever noticed drops in battery power, so I doubt they're big. Battery power indicators are never that stable anyway.

So just go ahead and buy the t610. Nokia's aren't perfect either.

@ayush read the former post, @meptik is right. charge your battery every day, not longer as needed. dont worry cos of the weird sound, i didnt recognized any bug on it aswell.

Posted by Ayush
Hmm.. thanks a bunch guys So it really means that even if there is a drop it is actualyfalse. So shld I switch off at nite to make it last long ??

Posted by BobaFett
no, u shouldnt. but, u can make some experiences, if it is.

Posted by Ayush
Ok.. what about the experiences with the other users aswell???

Posted by Jowi
hissing units are units whose manufactured date was W20 & below

In general, don't rely to much on the battery power indicator of mobile phones. The algorithms used to calculate the remaining battery power are most certainly quite complicated. They have to take several very different parameters into account: the ratio between standby- and talktimes, the signal strength, the temperature, ...

And remember, it's just an indicator!

Posted by BobaFett
@bico nice post! on r320 and t28 it worked perfect.

Posted by Ayush
Yippe!!! The baby's sitting on my desktop and getting charged!!! Few things I noticed: The battery cover's a pain to slide down Or am I missing something ? Thanks... guys! Any other tips/info suggestions invited!!!

edit: i jus noticed the ph said batt fulll...then i removed plug and inserted again to check. It started again charging fer 5mins or so and then stopped... so now wht shld i do? jus switch it on or try again to chg???

@ayush thats ok if the battery cover comes hardly down, thats normal and shows it in good condition. dont worry about the 'recharging' aswell, thats ok. nice to see how excited u are happy for u, its a great feeling.

Thanks for your help buddy! Another thing:) i noticed a slight horizontal line on the viewfinder while taking pictures! What should this be?

Posted by BobaFett
a line? is it still there on the pic aswell?

Posted by Ayush
Yeah. Only prominent on darker pics (pls also see my other thread)

Posted by Sammy_boy
@ayush, you should charge your battery for it's 'virgin' charge for about 16 hours without taking it off the charger.

I know - it's very tempting to take it off after an hour - and yes, I've done that as well - couldn't resist having a good fiddle!

There's nothing like buying a new phone! Except perhaps the first time a phone you've just fixed powers up and works perfectly

btw, I've posted a reply in that other thread, I hope it's of some use!

Don't buy se t 610. It's not so good phone and today even rather old one. I have the phone but I'm not happy with it. Charging problems, slowly unreliable soft, not readable screen on the sun crappy slow wap browser and many other little problems.

Posted by Ayush
My experience is contrary to what you say :-) tell me do you have any problem with camera?

Posted by boto43
no problems with camera

Posted by Ayush
Which fw?

Posted by boto43
Old one. R1L013, I'm not sure if newer one can help. Ur is?

Posted by BobaFett
@ayush u should make an upgrade, but r4c is a good one aswell, had it for a while, no problem with it.

Posted by Ayush
@boto I've r4c. do ur pics come out perfectly? Do not u notice a think pinkish horizontal line running through? (in this pic)
@bob ok i'll upgrade to r6c then.. what extra does it have? u know? But did u see the other thread .... @701 said that this is incurable by fw upgrade?? Did u see my pics?? Do u notice anything??? Why don't u and boto post some of your sample pics... thanx

@notice white line below specs

Posted by BobaFett
@ayush an upgrade wont give u more, its not a must to do. I posted some pix in the t6xxx pix thread already. Dont worry so much plz. The fone will serve and fit u well. Ps: never forget, its a fone, for good and quality pix buy a camera.

Posted by sheebybabe
hey congrats on your new fone! mine comes out perfect well when I had it ...

Posted by Ayush
@bob thanx for comforting but do u not notice on other thread an dis sheebybabe's pic there is no line im really confused...

Posted by BobaFett
@ayush u should try an upgrade then. not sure if it helps. or u should bring it to se and let it check.

Posted by Ayush
Hmm will do that them

Posted by BobaFett
@ayush whats up with the battery? how long does it last?

Posted by Ayush
Bob, the first day it lasted 12hrs flat with some hrs switch off(u know how 1st days are ) The next day lasted 18 hrs! (without switch off). This is 3rd day... and i did a full charge (with phone switch off) it is apprx 2hrs 30mins since and batt is one step down cam usage, mms, wap, esato etc.. {so ur comments???}

bUt bob, i'm really depressed with this cam thing... Wht to do u tel me??? i just recieved my phone i dun wanna lose it to the srvc center for dayz together Shld I just go and say pls upgrade to r6c003..or on the other hand i shuld go to dealer and say gimme new phone?? But if IS a known issue with r4c003 then its other thing... You owned a t610..pls say hat was ur fw and did ur pics show a line??? Tia

Posted by BobaFett
well, i didnt have nay problems with the camera on my t610. go to shop, show them your camera pic. an upgrade takes ca 15 mins, u can check after it, if its better or not. is the new fw didnt solve it, u should ask for another one, if it is. wait rather e few time for a better cam instead of using a defect one. and @ayush, listen to your mind, not your heart. u ll survive those days without it, if it is.

Posted by Ayush
So u mean I should first go to authorised service center and ask them to upgrade my firmware to r46003?? (this is new one right?? )

Posted by BobaFett
let check your cam by an expert, ask for his opinion and report here if it is. thats all i can say now.

Posted by Ayush
Expert?? a.k.a. service point??

Posted by BobaFett
thats right. the official service is always the best. or a well known independent mobile shop with good sellers.

Posted by Ayush
Yes but even he'll have the same option to either replace or get it repaired wityh

Posted by BobaFett
@ayush how do u wanna solve the problem then? there is no other way. i do know it will be hard for u to say good bye to your fone for some days, if it is, but THIS STEP MUST BE DONE.

Posted by Ayush
I am taking it to se tomorow.

Posted by gforce23
Dont take it to salora

Posted by pojken_henke
