How did you track the number down.

Are you using Norton Anti virus, cuz I checked out the repeated attempts to hack my computer as well a few days ago and someone sitting in Vancouver (Canada) does not seem like me very much!

I have norton but it doesn't have this feature. I think mines just the virus alone
Posted by Lynx69
Is there a world graphic on your taskbar at the bottom. When a red ! comes up someones trying to hack you, double click it, click the ip address and it tracks it
Posted by kimcheeboi
you need norton pro? PM me.

I got Norton Internet Security 2003. Has the tracker feature on that as well. Had loads of attempts through last year, mainly from the same place in canada. Others were Germany, Florida, Italy and few others.

make a professional looking FBI letter head and tell him how theyve been after him for hacking the presidents computer or summin. then say he will be fined like 1 billion dollar and will be prosecuted
he'll be shi*ing himself if its convincing enough

Report him to his ISP, they will handle it
Posted by Lynx69
I did that with them both but i got a postal address for the second one and i want to do something funny
Posted by mixin
How exactly did you obtain a postal address from someones IP
Posted by Rookwise
when you use the trace feature of norton internet security you get the ip number and the full address of the attacker. i had one from somewhere in a hotel in new york. even got the suite number.
Posted by iyiinsan
Give me his name and his e-mail address, I'll write a Turkish letter to scare him...
If you want to do so, PM me...

I only got a country for that person..its the canadian that i got a home ddress for
O'Connor Street
Ottawa
Canada
Im not going to tell everything because i might get sued for some privacy crap.

Can you post the adress cause I think that you have his ISP postal adress instead. If it's his real adress then it's the worst hacker ever
Posted by haynesycop
im always getting those pop up messages. loads from california
just had one:
216.74.27.25
San Jose
11111 sunset hills road
reston
VA
its sooooooo annoying, always the same IP nearly every time
Posted by Scorchio
The one problem is that most hackers block their IP addresses and mask it with something else. I'm not entirely sure how its done but i think it has something to do with altering the ping responses!? so basically the ip tracker on norton is useless!
Posted by haynesycop
true, its nice to know were they are though

Amazing, isn't it?
Kid, you prolly got his IP but tomorrow he'll have a different one since most ISP have dynamic IP that are assigned to each client.
Not even his IP is accurate. So forget it! You can't track him down.
Only his ISP can do it, by checking at what time someone was using that IP address.
